For years this had been one of our favourite cafes in Tenby. Good service, friendly cheerful staff, lovely food and a welcoming atmosphere. However, this has all changed. We visited in December and were directed to a table. 35 minutes later we decided to leave as we hadn’t been even offered a drink. Maybe a blip, We decided to return in February. Again we were only served after 25 minutes and a quarter of an hour later our food arrived delivered by a dour faced waitress. My order of cauliflower soup sounded really tasty but it was inedible. It was really bitter and little other flavour than watered cumin. We explained the problem to a member of staff who asked if I would like something else to eat. I declined. I would have given a one star rating but my wife enjoyed her meal and although there was no apology, they said they would not charge for mine or my wife’s meal. Needles to say, we will not be returning, which is a shame because this used to be a lovely little cafe.

Family breakfast for four with two dogs, dog friendly 100% dogs given treats each from the dog advent calendar which was a great touch .Scrambled egg on toast x2 with crispy thick cut bacon and buttermilk pancakes x2 one with thick cut Welsh bacon and syrup and one with berry compote, all food fantastic tasting and value for money. Hot chocolate was the best ever according to a hot chocolate expert and the OJ was great as well. Excellent friendly efficient service provided, wished we’d been years ago but will definitely return 👍🏻

Came here with my partner who grew up in Tenby. We have family here so come up every month or so. Having been a very good restaurant in the past, we were shocked when we ordered lunch - two Welsh Rarebits - only to wait over half an hour for our food. This in itself is fine, even though this was the off season and it wasn’t very busy, but the real disappointment was the incredibly stingy portion size. Considering this dish was £9 each, all that arrived was a side plate with a single, thin slice of toast and a garnish side salad. You could have put both our portions together and it would only barely have been worth the money we paid for one. It’s so clear that this is a case of cutting portion sizes to cover costs but please reconsider whether you’re willing to pay this much money for a snack. We went home ten minutes later and had cheese on toast just to fill ourselves up. The real shame is that we do like this tucked away cafe and have had good experiences there before, and the staff were lovely. But in this economy if we’re paying for a one-off treat it has to be worth it. As we’re up so frequently, this could have been somewhere we would spend a lot of money over the years but now we won’t bother.

Lovely spot for breakfast. We went in on the first day of our holiday and the food was so good, we went back every morning! The staff were very friendly and welcoming and it’s a cute little cafe, tucked away in a little courtyard. Highlights were the think Welsh bacon, the salty butter on the toast, the fluffy pancakes and the delicious coffee. We’ll return next time we’re in Tenby.

I visited Fuchsia twice during a weekend visit to Tenby - once for coffee/cake & then another time for breakfast. Both times were great, the staff were friendly, the food was delicious (I'd recommend the coffee cake!), and the atmosphere was lovely. I'd definitely come back again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone else.

Staff were friendly enough although we should have heeded the warning when they were immediately apologetic and we were told there was a 20 minute wait for food Unfortunately we decided to wait and after about 35 minutes our food finally did arrive My wife’s order of pancakes were fine however my vegan breakfast was served up on a side plate and consisted of one average tasting veggie sausage, one slice of toast and a tiny pot of baked beans . . and contrary to the menu description no mushrooms and no actual cherry tomatoes with rest of the plate filled with a soggy pile of peppers as they had clearly run out of some ingredients and hoped we wouldn’t notice. I fully accept issues such as services and delays are a personal opinion and others may vehemently disagree however the vegan breakfast I was served was a rip off and people should realise there are much better places to eat in Tenby.

Nobody welcomed us. The only empty table seated five people. I checked with a member of staff that it was the only table, and she said yes so we sat down. She was adept at avoiding eye contact but eventually I managed to ask her if we should order at the counter and she said no, she would come to us. To be fair, that information was printed on the menu - but the staff in most cafes can manage a cheery 'hello, take a seat, I'll be with you in a minute' or suchlike. When she did arrive, we told her we would be happy to share the table, but she didn't respond, and we had it to ourselves the whole time even though the place was busy. Nice for us but seems a bit unfair on others. We ordered coffee, kombucha, a veggie breakfast (there is only a vegan breakfast on the menu but we asked to swap the avocado for a fried egg and use ordinary butter on the toast, which they were happy to do), and I asked for scrambled egg, avocado, mushrooms and hash brown which were all available as separate breakfast items. They asked if I wanted the avocado sliced or smashed, and I opted for sliced. My kombucha arrived in a sealed can with a separate glass. I poured it, took a sip - and realised the glass was smeared with lipstick, which I do not wear myself. When I pointed this out they brought me a fresh one. At least mine didn't explode like another poor diner's did, with a bang that made us all jump and sprayed the drink all over her glasses, face, hair, and the window next to her. My companion's breakfast arrived quite a long time before mine, so much so that I told him to start so it wouldn't get cold. When mine arrived it was all on top of toast which I had not ordered and did not want as I am gluten intolerant - just as well I'm not coeliac. They took it back and removed the toast quite quickly. The scrambled egg was a generous portion, but very hard and solid, so not particularly nice to eat. About two-thirds of the avocado was fine, not perfectly ripe but definitely edible. The other one-third was browning and fibrous so I left that on the plate. My companion said his breakfast was good, and he ate it all. When we went to the counter to pay, again we were kept waiting for quite a long time with no word from the staff member present - a quick 'I'm sorry to keep you, I won't be long' or something would have gone a long way. I would not be enthusiastic about eating here again.

Perhaps our expectations were a little high considering the reviews on here, but we had a very disappointing lunch at Fuchsia. We waited an hour for our food, which was just a Welsh rarebit and a goats cheese salad. After some time my husband had gone past the point of hunger, so we asked for his salad to be cancelled, only to be informed that it was currently being plated up. He still declined but I was very hungry at this point, so decided to continue with my order. Then (considering the salad was supposedly being plated up) I had to wait a further 10 minutes for not one, but two rarebits to arrive! I had only ordered one. It was fortunate that the further one had been made as the portion was so small that I ate both. Upon payment, it was the staff’s attitude that led to this review. Not at any point in ordering, or thereafter, were we informed that there would be a wait for food, and the server’s response was that they were understaffed and only had a small kitchen. I fail to see how this is the customer’s fault or that makes it acceptable to wait so long without any communication. What made matters worse was that they tried to make us to pay for 2 rarebits, when only 1 had been ordered, because “we still had it”. Really poor attitude and overall customer service. I’m surprised this is rated so highly.

Went for lunch with the wife. I asked for the soup of the day which was leek & potato as we were in Wales. This was advertised on a few chalkboards spread around the place only to be told the soup wasn't available. This was 1pm and not the end of the day. As an alternative I had the spiced pulled pork sandwich which to be fair was quite tasty, but expensive at £12.50. As we were in Wales my wife chose the Welsh rarebit which sounded delicious. However, what turned up at the table was far from it. A small thin slice of toasted sourdough with no visible evidence (or taste for that matter) of thick Welsh cheddar or gained mustard as described. A garnish of dry lettuce leafs and a chopped radish with a few drops of balsamic vinegar I believe. They had the nerve to charge just under £9 for this which was extremely poor value. I cant remember last time I didn't leave a tip when eating out but this didn't deserve one. I do feel sorry for the young waitress as her service deserves better but if this is the normal standard of food served up, she won't be retiring anytime soon on tips received. Won't be visiting again!

The Fuchsia Caffe delivered a lovely Afternoon & Valentine's Tea to my daughter on her birthday on Valentine's day. Due to the Covid restrictions, we were unable to visit Wales for my father-in-law’s 80th birthday, but we still wanted to make it special for him. I found Fuchsia Caffe purely by chance through a Google search, and emailed enquiring about a delivery of afternoon tea. Laura was amazing. She got back to me really quickly, and helped my choose the most appropriate option (at an excellent price too!). Today was the day. Laura delivered a wonderful Gentleman’s Afternoon Tea to my father-in-law’s house this morning, and he was thrilled. The food was extremely tasty and all freshly baked, and very plentiful. I can’t wait for the restrictions to be over so that we can visit the caffe in person. Thank you!

My partner and I visited The Fuschia Caffe a couple of times over our trip to Tenby in September. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast, in particularly the smoothies. Early the next morning, I stopped by and asked if they did smoothies to take away. It was so early that I didnt realise they weren't open yet and had in actual fact, I had interrupted the staff's morning briefing. I was mortified and tried to backtrack, explaining that I hadn't realised the time and I'd come back later. However the staff were so friendly and accommodating. They made two smoothies to take-away without any fuss. I'd definitely recommend stopping by The Fuchsia Cafe if you're passing by. You can't beat delicious food & great customer service.

I looked for a dog friendly cafe on google as we were travelling an hour to it with our 2 dogs.On arrival I went in and said table for 2 please, the woman in charge, who was busy on her phone said we don’t have any, without really even looking up.I asked if we could sit inside and was told no.On going outside we saw some decking adjacent to the cafe so I went back in and said could we get coffees and sit on there? Again without hardly looking up from her phone she said no,it belongs to next door,I saw that next door was closed but she was just so unhelpful, bordering on rude! I was really surprised as I had read some good reviews, although on checking today the place doesn’t seem as good as it used to be,do they want the business or not? We visited The Fuchsia Caffe after looking on Tripadvisor for a dog FRIENDLY good Cafe for breakfast, on a wet windy day. On arrival we were told we could only sit outside we were then taken to a very small table that was so close to the one next to it we would have rubbed shoulders with the person sat there, we reminded the waiter of social distances, he apologised and took us to another very small table. We the had another waitress come out to take our order, I requested a vegetarian breakfast, she informed me the mushroom order hadn’t been delivered yet, expected very soon, she offered me avocado instead, I said I was happy to wait for the mushrooms, I also ordered brown toast. Minutes later our breakfast arrived, no mushrooms, avocado or brown toast. The table we sat on was so small if was difficult to fit everything on. Loved the Welsh rarebit with cockles and seaweed. Generous portions. Coffee also good, with non dairy milks available. Will have to return next time we are in Tenby to try the delicious looking cakes!

Popped in and had cream tea for two. The location is very nice and has a nice courtyard. Inside is very small and felt cramped. Also it wasn’t a hot day but was like an oven inside making it uncomfortable and we couldn’t wait to leave to get fresh air. The scones were very large but a little dry. The loose leaf tea was lovely.

Took the family (including Vegan significant other) to this little cafe and had a lovely lunch. Welsh rarebit was great and the vegan selection was reasonable. Didn’t try the cakes but they looked lush!

We had lunch here on Sunday, we sat outside and waited about 15 minutes before anyone came out to take our order. It took over 20 minutes to bring out 4 toasted paninis, an elderly couple sat at the next table and after 20 minutes simply left as no one came out to serve them! We considered doing the same but had ordered by then. Nice food but were having a bad day on service.

Decided to stop here for breakfast as reviews raved about vegan options. Sadly for breakfast they were quite limited. My sister ordered granolla and thankfully another waitress overheard and said it wasnt actually vegan as it contained honey. So we were left with avo on toast and jam on toast.

We visited this cafe as it was dog friendly and had good reviews. We were not disappointed. It was it a lovely setting. The service was excellent. I loved the pot of tea with real tea leaves. Breakfast was well cooked and tried the lava bread which was great. Really enjoyed the tasty sausage. Well worth a visit when in Tenby especially if you have a dog. Well done.

In Tenby just to have a look and we’re desperate for breakfast and walked past a sign for this cafe. Walked down the lane and greeted by a very pleasant young lady. So glad we found this cafe as the service from the young girl was absolutely brilliant and the food and coffee equally matched the service. Very pleasant surroundings, quiet and lovely sitting outside in the morning.

Just a superb little cafe: great tasting coffee, excellent variety of vegan options and menu items that can be made vegan, plus incredibly dog friendly, with a doggie menu! Staff are attentive and friendly. Can't fault it at all!

Had a lovely veggie brunch sat outside in their courtyard. Seating is a bit confusing, the waitress had to keep telling people arriving not to sit at the other restaurants tables.

Lunch with friends today at Fuchsia cafe was delicious. Nice and shady in the mews, too. Food fresh, appetising and very tasty. Everyone cleared their plates, except for me. The Greek salad absolutely spot on, but, sadly, too much for me! Speedily delivered our coffees to go, as we had a bus to catch. Great service and very friendly. I will definitely eat there again, and highly recommend. Good price, too, and no problem for vegetarians or vegans. Dog friendly, which is a plus,

We visited here today for breakfast as I wanted Avocado on toast which I had every Saturday as a kid growing up. I ordered the avocado and tahinis on sourdough but asked the chef if I could add 2 poached eggs on top!! My wife had toast and marmalade. We had a pot of tea (leaf tea not bags). My dish was excellent with a perfect avocado and soft poached eggs.... heaven. We had a chance to have a little chat with Stacy who was the creator of my dish and she was as lovely as could be. All the staff were great and the service first class. Thanks to everyone for a great visit. We’ll see you again soon.

This is a lovely place to stay we had one night here and we were very well looked after the kitchen staff came in early for us as we had a tight schedule to keep which was appreciated. The food both in the evening and breakfast was excellent would definitely stay again.

Well it says it’s open when we got there.. it’s not ! All locked up, lights off, no sign of life. Not sure what’s going on in Fishguard but most of the places that say are open are closed ! Found ONE cafe open at 10am, Cresswells.. and that took some searching
