A great location for the castle and the beach, we stayed here as part of a 4 day trip around Pembrokeshire and before we went home the next day. The room is comfortable, little noisy latter part of night but to be expected as people enjoying themselves in the rear garden etc. - we would have joined them to be honest but had been hiking for about 8 hours!
The pub is fantastic, great atmosphere, clearly loved by locals. The food was tasty, I had something I have never had before so it was cool to experience. The portions are sensational for the price I have to say! Kudos to the chef.
I saw some reviews mentioning staff confusion with orders etc. - we had a small experience with that, my advice to the staff. all I will say is, be calm and not rush around so much. All will be fine!
Overall really good and a nice vibe!
We had the most delicious fish and chips here last night. Batter was perfect, light and crispy, fish fresh and the mushy peas were yum. The lady serving was lovely and helpful, and we sat outside watching the sunset. A great place for a family meal and we were able to sit outside with our little dog

Had the BEST hen do day out here,
We did the 2h spa session and then afternoon tea. So pleased with the service and the facilities. We thoroughly enjoyed the inside and outdoor hot tubs, egg chairs and sun loungers.
Booked a Sunday lunch out for family...although we frequently visit The Bar we had never tried their Sunday Dinners.
As soon as we walked in we had a lovely welcome from Liam and his team.
Our orders were taken straight away and within 5 minutes our drinks and food were on the table.
Very generous portions, I've never been out to Sunday dinner anywhere that had the choice of seasonal vegetables we had. Everything was cooked to perfection. Very much tasted like home cooking. Fresh and delicious.
We had no room or need for a pudding!
With that view, a lovely relaxed friendly atmosphere and decent prices you can't go wrong. Highly recommend.
Thank you Liam, we will be returning !
Lovely seafront cafe, excellent service, very dog friendly ( our 2 pups loved the little pot of chopped up sausages!) And the best fish and chips I've ever tasted! 😋
Lovely pub, staff very friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, the staff were knowledgeable about the offers, met with my sisters for lunch, thoroughly enjoyed, great atmosphere clean and tidy, lovely beer garden although it was raining so we didn’t use, would definitely visit again and would highly recommend 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟🌟
We purchased a voucher for Afternoon Tea for my mum for Christmas and were very much looking forward to going.
The hotel itself is beautiful and the surroundings are stunning. While the afternoon tea itself was fine, and the sandwiches were particularly good, the whole experience was very underwhelming. We were not offered any further tea or coffee after the original order was taken for our afternoon tea and we then decided we would like to enjoy a drink in the lounge afterwards. However, despite being given a menu, nobody came to take our order for 20 minutes, by which time we decided it was best for us to forget it and head back to Narberth.
It is a real shame that such a stunning location was let down by truly lacklustre service.
Always our go to for takeaway for many years but we have noticed a steady deterioration in the quality of the food and prices have steadily risen. The vegetable Balti and Bhuna we ordered were bland with no taste, with hardly any vegetables and those that were, mushy. In fact both dishes tasted the same! Wont be a returning customer.
Amazing Sunday lunch but let down by being told before ordering dessert only had table for another 15 minutes. Tables should be minimum of 2 hours and timing is all down to their service as we were there 10 minutes before booking time 🙈

Everywhere in Solva had stopped selling food in between lunch and dinner and my boyfriend was beyond hungry. We walked into 35 Main Street and the wonderful Tracey who was about to head off after her shift overheard our predicament and made him the most delicious roast beef sandwich - it was so tasty and unbelievably kind considering she’d just finished for the day. It really made our day. Thanks all - we’ll be back!
Great little cafe right on the beach. We had an ice cream or 5! Really nice. Coffee was a welcome warmer on the cold windy day that it was. The owners were very friendly.
Sorry to say we were disappointed ,my husbands cooked breakfast was average and my freshly cooked pancakes were awful. l think the cook must have got the mixture wrong as they were tasteless and rubbery, l don't think the heated runny Nutella works and the tiny bit of fruit was sour and the coffee very strong and bitter.Such a shame as we were looking forward to seeing how the new people had improved things.
Came here last week during half term . The restaurant was near lydstep beach where we staying and thought we would book a meal here. The restaurant was only half full when we arrived at 7pm and we was met by a very pleasant young lady. Unfortunately from sitting down to being offered a drink this took 20. Minutes . The young lady did apologise saying it was only herself and a colleague serving on that particular evening.another 15 minutes later I had to stop the waitress to ask if we could order. The food took 45 minutes and it came lukewarm. To be honest the whole evening was awkward and poor . Real shame because if it was good it would be a goldmine.
