Came here last week during half term . The restaurant was near lydstep beach where we staying and thought we would book a meal here. The restaurant was only half full when we arrived at 7pm and we was met by a very pleasant young lady. Unfortunately from sitting down to being offered a drink this took 20. Minutes . The young lady did apologise saying it was only herself and a colleague serving on that particular evening.another 15 minutes later I had to stop the waitress to ask if we could order. The food took 45 minutes and it came lukewarm. To be honest the whole evening was awkward and poor . Real shame because if it was good it would be a goldmine.
Sorry to say we were disappointed ,my husbands cooked breakfast was average and my freshly cooked pancakes were awful. l think the cook must have got the mixture wrong as they were tasteless and rubbery, l don't think the heated runny Nutella works and the tiny bit of fruit was sour and the coffee very strong and bitter.Such a shame as we were looking forward to seeing how the new people had improved things.
This restaurant is amazing. The service was so attentive, the staff were very kind and made the experience even more positive. The food was exceptional. Every course was delicious. The menu is so varied, it was a really difficult decision to choose what to have, but that does mean we will be back to sample more dishes!
Freshness from their butchery and fishermen supplies to their shop/restaurant and cooked on their own premises! What more can you ask for?
Absolutely unique because of the owners knowledge of his product and cooking direct accordingly!
Wish there were more butchers/fishmongers cooking their products onsight in this country.
When we left there was the brightest rainbow and I'm sure one end was into the Rib & Oyster premises (rightly so).
Enjoyed a Sunday roast with friends here today. We were a last minute booking and Jen and the staff were very accommodating to our larger party of 8 plus dogs. Lovely food and pub atmosphere.
We had the best Sunday dinner here! There was 11 of us, the dinner was exceptional! The best I've had in a long time you even managed to please my fussy kids. The landlady came out and made a fuss of the kids they loved her. It was my son's birthday and they brought his cake out singing happy birthday, It was great they even put a banner and balloon on our table, The young boy who served us was so polite we will definitely be back. What a great venue and a good team, I'm gutted I never took photos of my dinner to show you how good it was.
Thanks team lawrenny for going above and beyond.
Wow finally an Indian that can cook meals properly. Great flavours, each dish different and made how they should be. A lot of places make almost everything the same but with or without colouring.
Here the vindaloo was a vindaloo, the dopiaza was as they should be and poppadoms were actually fresh and crispy, not soft and old.
All of us were very happy with all our dishes.
Definitely eating here again.

Excellent experience. Food was outstanding and the mocktails were delicious, great menu for kids too. And they’d made a special occasion of Christmas for all diners, not just group bookings with crackers for everyone which the kids loved. We’ll definitely be back when in Tenby again
Perfect!
Lovely warm welcome. Beautiful well cooked quality food. Went for a full English with husband and 2 children. Everyone happy, would absolutely recommend.
Ate in bar area was really noisy and cold no fire and 2 doors open 1 by the bar and 1 with people in and out
We had the smaller dinner it was lovely but plate was to small for the dinner
Had the creme brulee but it was overdone nearly curdled
A direct message has already been sent to this place about my experience and no response has been received as yet (nearly 2 weeks later).
First of all this place used to be great…great coffee, friendly staff, great food.
With this in mind, my friend and I thought Cafe Rio would be a cosy place for our heart to heart chat,
Now on entry it smells and feels grubby.
My initial Americano was bitter and filmy on top, just awful so I sent it back, this was replaced with a much smoother cup.
My friend and I ordered the breakfast Cinnamon toast with bacon and maple syrup for £6.95.
It arrived: and how disappointing -two pieces of bread, two tiny pieces of streaky bacon and a bowl of syrup.
The bacon was over cooked and black in places and the bread was completely soggy and soaked in grease and syrup. We both felt sick after attempting to eat half of it, so we left it and carried on with our chat.
On leaving we both decided we would privately message the place about the standard of food and see what the response would be, rather than just leaving a bad review on here.
As yet neither of us has even received an acknowledgement of our complaint let alone a personal response.
It’s a shame as I felt this was a place you could rely on.
Called into the Tramway this morning to a nice greeting. Fairly busy but a few tables free and was offered one of the bigger window tables even though I was on my tod.
Ordered the small breakfast, glad I did, there was plenty of it, i wouldn'thave managed the bigger one. Pile of mushrooms and scrambled egg, a sausage, two bacon, two hashbrowns, plum tomatoe, pot of baked beans and a big slice of quality toast and butter on a separate plate.
My food arrived quickly and was delicious and there was no rush for me to finish my coffee.
Not the cheapest breakfast around but I highly recommend.
