Tiny portions cold food sends food two hours late with NO sauce! Calls to complain the boss said what do I mean no sauce. No sauce means no sauce right? so he said return the food a I’ll get money back? After waiting two hours for my food to be then faced with the most rude threatening customer service I’ve ever experienced was not what I wanted on my Friday night! Ridiculous don’t waste your time or money.

Definitely something not right here. Very stressed waiting staff, argumentative with each other, not much evidence of good leadership as seen at other Tobys. Staff seem so unhappy. The chef who served our carvery was however really lovely and helpful. Serving area of the carvery was full of old food and not clean, sauces and gravy all very low and only a bit of cranberry left. Sat surrounded by dirty tables and carpet has yellow tape in places making the room we were sat in look tired. We either have a really lovely .meal or an absolutely awful time here and this visit was horrid, long wait for drinks and glasses, pigs in blankets came out at end of meal despite asking. Corporate please invest in this Toby with new carpets and maybe some help for the staff. Please do not reply with the usual we will take on board and feed back to team, actually make changes, sweep the car park, sort the rope area and rope fence out. Spend money on making it a great place to eat and staff to work.

Pen and wig pub Newport had chicken curry with chips and the chips was proper fresh chips not frozen and sticky toffee pudding also had a pint of forged Irish stout really nice food would recommend and will come here again the staff was friendly especially ryan who served me would also like to thank cĥef aswell patrick

Great cosy pub with excellent pub quiz and good food.

chips came absolutely inedible, somehow a “freshly cooked” fillet o fish came stone cold and got to give my hats off to them because they somehow even made the mc flurry a disappointment and even gave us the wrong coke what a joke

Lovely food. Quick service, and massive shout out to Cath who was absolutely amazing. Made us feel so welcome. Will definitely return

Burnt cold chips No straws No sauces Burgers thrown in Gross

The worst service and atmosphere ever threw my food into the sandwich! Did not want to serve as they had already cleaned down, althought it was four in the afternoon and they close at 6 pm. I never write reviews could not believe the service and how the girl was employed, she is clearly not happy working at all. Food was good rest was awful!

Absolutely disgusting. Not even worth 1 star. Food arrived over 1 hour late. Rang to track order, women absolutely clueless. Meat undercooked and a slobbery mess. Fries were stone cold. £35 worth of food ended up in the bin. Vile!

This Costa is located on the first floor of the Royal Gwent, near the main C/B block lifts and near the Minor Injuries Unit. I visited a few times while visiting a relative who was in hospital here. There was often a small queue and only one member of staff behind the counter while the other cleaned the tables. This meant that it sometimes took a while to get your drinks made. Despite the occasionally slow service, the staff here were very friendly and helpful and always paid attention to orders and asked for clarification of different milks etc if needed. Most people seemed to order drinks to takeaway (myself included) so there were always plenty of seats available when I visited.

Awful food undercooked. Note they will not refund you. Terrible service. Avoid.

Tried for the first time yesterday. Food was delivered piping hot, quality was the best we have had in a very long time and the Turkish bread was so fresh. The Calzone pizza looked amazing and my other half said it tasted as good as it looked. Will definitely be returning when we fancy another cheeky takeaway
