A great location with plenty of parking. Food alway hot and delicious with the staff working hard to keep things moving, I coukd just eat the salad on it's own somedays but alway eat too much as the food is good. This place is always busy but managed to get in again,.

Lovely place to come with the family. The staff were very welcoming and cheerful. We came with extended family including a little one for a Sunday Lunch and the staff could not have been more accommodating. You know what you're getting with a Harvester and this one is right up there. The food was very good, really reasonable pricing and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We have been before and will no doubt come again.

Claire was an amazing waitress. So friendly, very attentive and really pleasant. She was the same with all around us too so fair do’s to her customer service! AA*

The service from our waitress was excellent. The main courses were good portion sizes, good selection and good quality. However, we had the 2 course meal deal and I was very disappointed that there was no vegan ice cream avaliable. Due to a medical condition, it was the only item I could order. It wasn't great to sit with nothing while the other people in the group ate their desserts. I do think ASAP gestures of goodwill you could have given a discount. Had I known there was no desserts for me to eat, I likely would have ordered something other than the 2 course meal.

Food was amazing, but service could have been better and not much for the atmosphere where I was sat . Bottomless salad was great

A table of 14 of us for my brothers 18th. Waited 40 minutes and didn’t get served, so went to ask for service. Supervisor was very rude and dismissed me. Left it another 5 minutes and went to find another member of staff, who then apologised and sent a waitress to service us. Waitress very friendly and apologetic. Got our food ordered first then our drinks. My brother had a sirloin steak full of gristle, had to send back as couldn’t even get knife through it. My partner had chicken wings, and has since been violently ill. Awake the next morning 05:30am and still until today (2days later) with sickness and diarrhoea. Will definitely not be returning

As always The Borderer Harvest was top drawer! Food excellent and beautifully presented. We had Clare serving us and she was amazing - so attentive and couldn't do enough for us. Compliments also to the chefs. We were greeted by a really friendly lady too on the way in. Will be back soon.

Clare is always lovely with us and our grandparents. She always makes us feel welcome, has a laugh with us and the service is always great. The food is lovely too and always happy to help with any requests.

Clare was amazing - friendly and positive attitude. Really nice place. We are visiting at least once a week and that is definitely our most favourite restaurant at our area.

Fantastic greeting, outstanding service, salad bar amazing. Unfortunately food (mixed grill)was cold 😩. Fair play they did offer to cook again but due to time constraints ate the cold food.

Rachel was our server she has served as three or four times now always happy talkative offers advice fantastic help could ask for the better server. She’s a credit to the company food was good atmosphere was great.

Go here on a fairly regular bases! You Know what you get when it comes to good food, great staff...kath is great, she knows you when you walk in..remembers your favorites, is always happy, funny and polite. She really does go above and beyond to give you the best customer service!

Clare was great. The food was great and salad bar was fresh and clean. The toilets were clean. The Restaurant was clean. Best Harvester I've visited. Shame we live in England and not Wales!

4 of us went for lunch. All had just a main - no starter or desert. Food was good. Bill came and we were charged more for 4 mains that we would have been for mains & deserts. Given how the Harvester takes sustainability seriously, why do they charge more for ordering less food? It would have been cheaper for me to order 4 deserts and put them straight in the bin. How is that right? Sustainable? Absolutely not. Poor.

Dropped in without a reservation and was accommodated, although they were busy. The reception by the staff was welcoming. The table service was speedy and Clare on table service was welcoming and friendly which added positively to our experience, even with my wifes requirements straying from the set menu. Clare is an asset to the Borderers team and is an example of how the job should be done. The food was first class.

I went in for some lunch on Monday with my grandma and was served by Georgia and what a credit to the team she is. She was super bubbly, chatty and friendly. Food came out super quick hats off the the chef. Great experience overall, thank you team and especially Georgia you made my grandmas day

I recently had a review replied to by the General manager and I was very happy with that.. The non management staff are amazing! But there is one cog in the place that just makes it impossible to enjoy yourself and being told you're drunk after just sitting on a stool watching YouTube is ridiculous!.....I have a license holder and have worked in the hotel and Hospitality industry for 23 years and the duty manager (11th July) is a very poisonous lady.....

Went to my favourite restaurant again harvest boarded newport today. Had my favourite waitress Clare again love going up there to see her and have a chat and having good food

Salad option very poor, no onion ,lettuce looked like it had been there a long time. When main meal come , was cold.

The cleanliness of the cutlery was disappointing, also the plates on the bread roll counter were wet from washing and some still had food on them. My starter and main meal were OK but I had apple pie for sweet which was undercooked on the base tasting of dough.

We were seated straight away, even though we didn't book. The food and drinks were lovely. Cath served us, she was extremely friendly and very helpful. We didn't have to wait long to be served, even though it was very busy.

Went there to celebrate a friends birthday. From the start our waitress Clare was nothing but brilliant! Nothing was too much trouble, she gave us loads of time before we ordered, because we were still waiting on a couple of guests. She brought drinks while we waited, then when we were ready to order, we made things a bit complicated, some wanted certain things and not others, but Clare very patiently went through everything thoroughly, then double checked with us, before she sent the order into the kitchen. Meals came out hot and cooked how we all requested (steaks) she checked if we wanted anything else, sauces etc She left us to enjoy our meals. Once we finished, she cleared the table, we ordered more drinks, sat chatting, then some of the party ordered pudding. Clare brought out the birthday cake when requested and she was pleasant and helpful throughout our evening. Clare is a credit to Harvester Borderer and she should get recognition for her attitude towards customers and attention to detail. Thank you for a wonderful special birthday

Me and my family had a lovely meal at the Harvester. We were served by a lovely waitress called Claire who has served us many times before. She always has excellent customer service and always makes sure we are happy with our food!

I came here for my birthday meal, our table was booked for 5pm we arrived a little early but was seated straightaway with menus.We were shortly greeted by a lovely lady called Kath to ask for our drink order. In very little time she had brought over our glasses for the drink refill station. She asked us then if we were ready to order and we were, she was very accommodating to a couple of changes we wanted. After ordering she grabbed us some salad bowls. We had time to eat our salad without rushing and soon our food was in front of us. The food was absolutely delicious we had an array of different things but everyone’s was cooked perfectly and piping hot when it arrived at the table. We had multiple check backs to the table to make sure everything was okay by Kath. She was very attentive. We finished up and we asked for the bill. I was given a free main meal voucher on there app for my birthday aswell. Hats off to the harvester Borderer in Malpas because there literally isn’t a bad thing to say about it. Service, food, staff and facilities were all outstanding. Will be back very soon.
