The best restaurants in Neath Port Talbot South Wales

We went for an evening meal on a Saturday night. The bar downstairs was busy as there was live music. We were offered the choice of where to eat and plumped for the upstairs restaurant. The owners served us. We had the Pate for starters, a 10oz ribeye steak with a red wine and stilton sauce, Dauphinois potatoes and vegetables. We followed this up by sharing a piece of delicious cheesecake. The service we received was absolutely excellent as was the food. It was all beautifully cooked and presented and very very tasty. The meal wasn't cheap by any means but the price reflected the quality. The restaurant is quite sizeable and very well decorated in a modern but rustic way using a lot of reclaimed materials, if that makes sense. If you find yourself in need of a tasty meal in relaxing surroundings take a trip to Crynant near Neath and give this place a go.

I am sorry to say, this was one of my worst experiences for customer service and food taste. It was late, but only 15 minutes, however, suprising for a Tuesday. I ordered a large lamb and chicken shish which my daughter and I share, it definetly was not large, we had only 5 medium sized pieces of meat each, of which were overcooked and very chewy. The Pitta bread was mini size, not even medium.. not fully toasted/griddled and was soft and doughy. The children's meal was missing. I rang the restaurant with assurance that a replacement would be delivered within 30 mins. Nothing arrived. I rang and was told that basically, he had checked the camera and accused me of being a scammer. To add insult to injury, I also ordered 4 chocolate sponge cookies. Only 1 was eaten and another nibbled at as they were burnt on the bottom. £32 later and all I have is a bad experience. On a positive note, I was told the chicken strips were nice. Sorry Royal Pizza for straying, never again.

£6.80 for a shockingly small fish. Batter all stale and fish was dry. Women on the counter with black hair seemed to have an attitude. Because a couple asked for fish after me. You work in a fish shop love. Do your job

Hanging.. tasteless full of grease and coleslaw like cheap bluestripe from tesco threw it in bin.total waste of £24.. had toast for supper instead..where can u go these days to get a genuine Turkish kebab?

I’ve ordered a takeaway well in the time of delivery’s actually nearly 2 hours before it closes, they decided to cancel the order 10 minutes after I ordered

This is the first time I have had a meal from here and it won't be the last . Delivery on time Delivery man very friendly and the meal was stunning

I work as a delivery driver for Uber. There is a woman who works in this place. She is very bad. She deals with Indians, Bangladeshis, Arabs, and some non-European or black nationalities with racism and without respect. The order is always late, from ten minutes to about half an hour. Today in particular, he went to get the order from Tesqua, Britten Fieri. At about the same time in the evening, I asked her, “The order is ready.” She replied with all arrogance and disgust, “No,” so I told her, “Why, when you work to secure the orders, they are late and you have to wait.” She told me to go out of the place several times, and she cursed me and said dirty and bad things to me. There was a lady who told her, “Don’t be ashamed or ashamed,” and when I went to The manager poal and I complained about the employee. He went to her side and fired me as she did and told me to never come back here. I want to complain about them, but I don’t know where. Is there anyone who can guide me, please?

Items not added to original order so meant had to stand in line again to get the order completed. Ordered to take out yet order taken was set to eat in and then had to wait for food to be transferred from the tray to a bag, and customisations asked for were not served to had to wait for those items to be remade. Staff seemed complacent and not there, whether it was due to stress or other reasons but it was not overly busy.

Great large pizza for £10 , thoroughly enjoyed . Shame the dip didn't come free with pizza like dominos

Do not bother , absolute terrible service , waited 1hr 20mins for delivery , phoned to ask what the delay was , and was told they don't know , didn't even get the order right when it finally came , 1st time I've used these , and will be the last. Rubbish

Great staff great food, I love subway. Fresh crisp salad with lots of taste, and tonnes of veriaty. The staff are excellent willing to help and polite, need to say more..

Chips were soggy and cold. Coffee was cold. Bag tore as I picked it up as they'd put too much in it. When I mentioned it, both staff turned their backs as if they hadn't heard me.

Food was very nice and hot and Liv our waitress was very attentive and friendly. Very efficient service, would definitely eat here again.

We visit The Baglebrook regularly and our last visit definitely didn't disappoint. The service and the food was exceptional. I feel that the parent company is letting the restaurant down a lot as the premises could do with a bit of a smarten up but, for us, that doesn't detract from the main enjoyment which is the atmosphere and the food. The staff are always friendly and helpful and we are looking forward to our next visit.

After a lovely walk we decided to have a take away coffee each . There was little or no coffee I. Either coffees , the beans must have been reused . Yuk !
