just ordered from there for the first and last time, placed a order for large chips, fish in batter and onion rings placed the order via just eat, arrived on time, nice and hot, opened the fish it looked amazing, nice golden brown, tasted a little bland, no real taste too it, but I really enjoyed it, however wish I could say that same for the rest of the meal, chips overcooked on the verge of being burnt, and the onion rings where soggy and dripping with greece so much so I just threw them out, onion rings are supposed too be crispy not fill your mouth with greece, the photos they have on the just eat website makes their chips look loverly, but from what I received my granddaughter could have cooked them better portion size of the chips was supposed too be large, I had what I would consider a medium at best and thats being generous. this order cost me £18+ with the delivery, just eat charge and bag charge

The chips were cold like they were cooked 3 days ago as was the sausage . The gravy was like they had put an oxo cube in hot water and the curry my wife had with her fish I asked her if she wanted one slice or two as it was so goopy and thick never again !!!

Not sure what happened tonight because you are usually good, but the chips were really chewy, not freshly cooked and the cod was a soggy mush, just couldn't eat it.

I have just had one of the tastiest cheese burgers ever. many thanks, looking forward to having another one soon.

Fine dining this is not, but a fantastic traditional meal cooked to perfection this is. The chips were tasty and well cooked, the fish was steaming hot, the batter lovely and crispy and the baked beans were just that, hot and sweet baked beans. You can get fish and chips wrong in so many ways but getting it right time after time takes some skills. Here's a hint for you fish and chip lovers, try some fresh (it has to be direct from the lemon) lemon juice squeezed over the fish instead of vinegar and you have the perfect mixture of flavours. This ONLY works if the fish is freshly cooked to perfection because it adds to the taste sensation and does not overwhelm it. So that's it, a great traditional meal cooked (and delivered) with care from the tiny little Cymmer Fish Bar and well deserved of five stars.

Potato flitter went in the bin soon I opened the packet the grease was dipping off it when I was picking it up. One bag was chips was the same and over cooked chips with grease. The other two okay. Not the best.

If you want sausage and chips, you could do worse, if you want anything else, go somewhere else...menu is 90% unavailable, 95% of the time. Reviews are ignored by management it seems, or treated with contempt at best.

The food is nice when you can get it but they open and then have more than half of their menu marked 'unavailable'

Ordered 3x chips and battered sausage a bottle of coke a kabab and 3x curry sauce paid on delivery to then find all the chips missing and coke not there. Called them back had the lady tell us we did not order chips and that we was having to pay for chips again she was very rude. Wife calls back to tell her we had already paid the lady was even more rude and hung up wife called back and spoke to a man he said he would deal with the complaint we had but we have not heard anything back not even a apology ended up paying 2x for chips . Going to trading standards!!!

Firstly the delivery driver forgot to deliver the bottle of pop I ordered. Then when I unwrapped the food I noticed that my order was incomplete and the extras I’d ordered had not been provided.

We spent 28 pound on our order and we was missing 20 nuggets both curry and gravy sauces a potato fritter and some of the chips was under cooked

Very impressed, the order was correct and the food arrived hot. Was impressed as this chip shop is normally hit and miss. But every-time I’ve had it recently its been great! And our food arrived early!

Usually had bad experiences with this shop in the past but Found out it was under new management so thought to give it a try to my disappointment I won't be placing any more future orders it was all cold the kebab looked days old and was solid quite a shame I can't upload a photo to this review no sauce was even supplied with the kebab as requested. Sausage was overcooked was like chewing rubber. Curry sauce was incredibly lumpy and too thick. Doesn't state a fruity curry sauce either on the menu. Didn't bother phoning to complain as i was to hungry to wait for replacements to be disappointed again.

The food was beautiful, big potions and the rissole was nice and fluffy and the taste was amazing.

Do not waste your money. What we ordered was inedible, had to chuck it away and eat elsewhere. Fish was dubious - very odd colour and tasted awful. Nuggets also very dry and tasteless :-(

Cold food and can't spot the difference between the RED Coca Cola and a GREY diet coke...know the difference enough to overcharge! Beware, cans have their individual prices on them but they will charge even more. Utter rip off.

Got 2x fish and chips this evening. Chips had a very musty nasty aftertaste indicating that they have been peeled and left in water too long. Called to let them know that the chips tasted bad (didn't want a refund or more chips) though they should know that the food did not taste good is all and I could her someone in the background giving attitude. The only reason I let them know was because I often get a takeaway from them and it is usually fine, obviously they prefer not to know when something is wrong with their food, would have continued to buy from them but wont bother now,

Decided to have take out so ordered from cymmer fish bar cheese burger and chips plus a large bottle of coke and a milk shake. 30 minutes later food came the cheese burger had kebab meat on top of the cheese and burger it was disgusting considering I ordered a cheese burger I don't like kebabs the chips were hard not fresh the only good thing was the coke and milk shake. I tried phoning but no answer. What a waste of money especially for me because I don't have much . I will never order from cymmer fish bar again.

I ordered a chicken kebab an was shocked! I paid £8 an it was tiny! All wrap an about 6 tiny pieces of chicken! Won’t order from here again!

Well worth the money plus excellent food

I don’t normally do these reviews as I don’t like to be negative about local businesses. However, the food I received on Friday night was horrendous and I just cannot let it go. The Donner kebab was dry, tasteless and not to mention it was stone cold. It was almost like it had been kept in the fridge. The sauce over the top was also freezing cold. This was inedible. The chicken, firstly was not what I believed I had ordered. It was a piece of cheap frozen chicken breast that had been warmed on a griddle and then bathed in bbq sauce. The chicken was already flavoured with tikka and was not chicken donner meat as I was expecting. The texture of the chicken was awful and there was little to no taste. The presentation of this dish was horrendous. The amount of sauce thrown over the top was unacceptable, it had come out of the container and soaked through the paper and was all over the inside of the carrier bag. I don’t know if it was covered in so much sauce to try and cover the poor quality chicken or if this is how it is always served. Again this was inedible and found it’s way into food recycling. I’m not one to expect miracles from fast food but for £6 you really do expect something that at the very least is edible. The chips were the one thing that arrived hot. The ones that were cooked were very nice and were seasoned well. There were however far too many that were not cooked all the way through and remained hard inside. At least 75% of the chips were edible and actually enjoyable to a certain extent. The curry sauce was very good, good texture and good taste. Which you would expect with something as simple as that. It’s just a shame about the rest. At £19.95 in total it was not a cheap meal and as specified nearly all of it ended up on the bin. I’m all for supporting local and this restaurant is around the corner from my house but after this experience I will never place an order with them again. The quality of food for that price was completely unacceptable in my opinion.

フィッシュ&チップス店ですが、ケバブやバーガーも販売。 チキンケバブとドネルケバブをオーダー。 どちらも肉、サラダとコールスローとボリュームがあり、スタンダードサイズで十分でした。 しかもお値打ちで大満足です。 陽気な女性スタッフ3人の会話も聞いてて楽しかったです。

Was disappointed to have frozen chips instead of chippy chips and the chip shop curry sauce was lacking flavour just tasted like water and was such a thin consistency.

Food was nice would have preferred options of what I did and didn't want included with the kebab though.

Food was good, very filling and the prices were extremely fair for the sizes/portions delivered. Delivery driver went out of their way to explain some menu items for me too when I asked, much appreciated.

Where to start? Hmmmmmm. The chip butty should be called chip mountain with bun squeezed in.... just. Stupidly large and excellent. Chicken doner meat, chips and salad was excellent and was large enough as a complete meal on its own. Now the battered sausage. Batter was crispy and tasty, the sausage was soft and flavoursome. It took me back 30 years to a chip van in London, walking with Mum and Dad eating yummy battered sausages as an extra special treat before we got home. Really good tasty meal. Thank you.

But today very disappointed in the food batter very greasy and soggy chips are hard and over cooked Ordered a large fish and got more like a small witch also has soggy batter and is over cooked. So will not be ordering from here again would rather take a drive to maesteg

Thought I would give them a second try, but chips were disgusting cold and stale, ordered a large fish and if that was a large I wouldn't want to see the small! Won't be using again

Fancied a hearty meal and got a taste experience that made me smile. The chips were a real delight, 'proper' chips cooked to perfection and full of flavour. Then the kebab, I wish all kebabs tasted so good. A finger food fest which was a feast.
