Usually good with memorising our orders and are consistent with delivery times however food quality and portion sizes have decreased massively in recent years/ months. I am a vegetarian with allergies to fish and have found several times rice dishes or chips will not only smell foul like fish but also taste the same. Which then results in me not eating at all. To be honest I’ve been rather appalled by the food hygiene in here and same for the quality of food since new management took over. 5 years ago I’d drive any distance for a Chinese from here.. now I can’t justify a 20 minute delivery wait.

Always had a really good experience at this takeaway but tonight's food was awful 😖 Prawn crackers were stale. Beef chow main had an awful smell to it and didn't taste how it usually tastes. I wanted to complain but my husband persuaded me not to as we are regular customers and he enjoyed his food. So if the chef/owner is reading this then please note, something was really off with the food on 17th Nov.

Best Chinese around , even travel from Seven sisters to pick it up . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Always ordered from here and put up with long wait. But now the food has gone stale and cold after a long time of only having deliverys from here that will be my last! Last 2 have been terrible.

Ordered for the first time at Fortune House in Skewen. The chicken curry was nice, not spicy so my children enjoyed it. We ordered for delivery a chicken curry, chicken fried rice and a plain chicken chow main with no veg. It didn't disappoint. The curry was tasty, and my children both enjoyed the noodles. I wasn't sure at first as the curry was quite yellow in colour and reminded me of a korma but we did find it nice. We went to the new dragon in Neath for years and been looking for an alternative chinese as it recently closed. I'd order from here again.

We have tried pretty much all the Chinese take aways in Neath and this is the nicest along with Red dragon which has recently closed. This is always delicious and fresh, I always go in order and collect where they make it so quickly and freshly tasting. The duck with black bean is stunning with fillet pieces of duck and I always order a extra hot spicy curry pot to go with the chicken curry which is also delicious. The receptionist is a nice guy too and always welcoming.

There shouldn't be any stars really, ordered food at 18.10 food came 19.40. And when it came it was cold, the chips tasted old and rubbery and the chicken curry was watery. Never again will I order from there, when I phoned up to ask where my food was, he told me to wait there, rude. Awful overall.

The food is very good, however the waiting time for delivery is extremely long. Almost give up and tried another Chinese.

Absolutely disgusting service Ordered food at 5.50 waited 1 hr and 40 mins, rang in between as told would be with us within the hour After another 20 min wait rang to cancel to be told I’m now blacklisted !!!!!! Really no customer service given whatsoever.

Excellent quality food, however if you pre order for collection, you are given a collection time, you’re nearly always waiting for a further 25-30 minutes, while the telephone orders seem to be flying through the door! 😤😳

By far the best Chinese takeaway I have ever had!! We had; chicken curry, salt and chilli chips. Egg fried rice, sweet and sour Cantonese style and king prawns with ginger and garlic! Wow!! So tasty and delivered well within the specified time!! We most certainly will be back, first time ordering and definitely not the last! Thank you so much!

Romantic weekend away. Ordered a Chinese to be delivered to us. 45 mins later turns up. No problem. Looks good. Smells good. Plenty of food. Husband begins tucking in... Pulls something out of his mouth. On looking closer... We realise it is a cigarette butt. We are both smokers so there was no confusion here. The fibre texture upon opening it up was a give away. Discusted by this and now completely put off our food. We phone the Chinese to state what has happened. The woman states "no one here smokes". We insisted that regardless of this they came to pick it up and gave us a refund. The delivery lady was mortified. But it wasn't her fault. She agreed it was a cigarette butt. Avoid! God knows what else was in there!

1st time ordering from this place last night and I was very very pleased with how quick the food was delivered and how tasty it was ! And the best part about it for me is that the food was actually piping hot once it was delivered ! One thing I hate the most is a cold takeaway ! So it's a big thumbs up from me and will be ordering again in the future 👍

If your looking for a good Chinese affordable, delicious, fast I definitely recommend fortune house they have the most yummy food at a very low price have been going here for years only had one problem when I was missing a small barbecue sauce and they sorted it immediately, staff are very kind and polite always nice to have a chat with them, for sure the best chinese I have ever had it’s different like the other Chinese overall just brilliant definitely recommend going here if your not sure what to order just ask the staff and they have really good recommendations. They never fail to make me want more you def should go!

Really nice Chinese. But I've been violently sick for 11 hours after and I'm not sure when it's going to stop, doctor told me it sounds like food poisoning. I really enjoyed the meal, but there's nothing else that could have done it to me, apart from this Chinese.

First time purchase this evening. Delivery took slightly longer than stated but not a problem. Great quality and quantity of food, very impressed and will definitely go back.

We moved to Skewen 2 years ago but only recently discovered thus Chinese. I have to say what beautiful flavour on every dish we have tried so far, and the salt and chilli chips is the nicest thing we have ever tasted on a takeaway, well done guys your food is beautiful, thanks nicola 😀

The people leaving the review must be leathered from the pubs in Skewen. You have food from this Chiniese in Skewen make no mistake you will be spewing!! 🤮🤮 the bin eat well to night!!

Just had food from here and it was the worst I’ve ever had no taste to it whatsoever amd now I’ve got a bad stomach will not be using this again and recommend you avoid it and save your money

Glad I decided to give this a try, didn't know what to expect, due to some poor reviews. I had mushroom curry, rice & plain chow mein, everything was delicious, nicest chow mien I've had. Just hope it will be consistent, as it's nice to finally find a nice tasting Chinese. Fast delivery too. Friendly service.

Pretty darn tasty... went here for a change and was not disappointed... the ribs were super and the beef n mushroom with rice was a treat.. loving the duck and hoi sin sauce too.. will be back for sure

Had such high hopes for this place after reading some good reviews, after speaking with such a polite lady who took my order and then my food arriving before the time given. Unfortunately the chicken in my special curry was like rubber, the curry sauce was bland and slimy and my egg fried rice had very hard bits in it. Satay chicken skewers and prawn toast were okay but I will not be ordering from here again. So disappointed!

Very disappointed!! After looking at the reviews I thought I would give them a go... bad idea!!Processed meat in bland sauces. The only good thing was the chips. ☹️☹️☹️

Just had a great meal. Fab big prawns in the king prawn chow mein. We enjoyed.

I have been here numerous times now, the food is fantastic and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The portions are large compared to other places such as curry container size and chicken balls are huge. I have only ever had 1 issue when they delivered my curry sauce but forgot the balls, it was resolved immediately with no issues at all. Would recommend and will continue to use.

The food is always lovely here and the staff are great. It's not by far the nearest Chinese to my home but I travel the extra few miles to go here as the taste and quality of the food is a lot better than any of my nearer Chinese takeaways. On this note I was surprised to see some of the reviews about this takeaway. I use this takeaway regularly and have never had a bad experience here and they also cater for my special dietary needs.

Muy grasosa, pollo, patatas fritas frías, antiguo refritos arroz recalentado, el arroz estaba duro como un ladrillo cuando una propina de la bandeja, ME pasee por cuánto tiempo había estado allí. Mi novia estaba enfermo y en 2 horas teníamos tanto hizo varios viajes al baño. Muy decepcionante teniendo en cuenta la clasificación de seguridad de 5 estrellas comida, lástima el Consejo no la cocina!

After getting food poisoning from a nearby Chinese take away, my family tried this take away on recommendation. It is the best around. Delicious food, always delivered hot. Order is always correct and they even throw in free prawn crackers and a bottle of pop. The fried crispy chicken with the house special fried rice is tasty and the sweet and sour sauce with the juicy chicken balls is a must. Great service and food at a reasonable price. The portions are pretty generous too!

Don't know where to start. Placed an order at 6:00, the person I spoke to didn't seem interested in what I was saying and having to repeat myself and ask for the order to be repeated to where I had to correct the order as they done it wrong. I asked for delivery and was told it would be a hour. Great, no problem. 7:00 or just after i was expecting the food to arrive. 7:00 arrived then 10 past then 20 past. Then half past 7 to where I called to question where my food was. Only to find out my food hasn't been cooked yet. I had no apology from them. No explanation, had nothing. I cancelled my order and went elsewhere, the staffs attitude is ridiculous. Previous months I have ordered a Chinese with Fortune House and the food has come cold and small portions. Not money value at all There are plenty of Chinese Takeaways in Skewen and I highly recommend you do not order from here.

The Fortune House is very good for the price and including the amount of chips they give, the food is served fresh and piping hot. Highly recommend.

Really not impressed with this place, placed a delivery order, only to receive the wrong order when we had it after an hours wait. After phoning and telling them, they seemed like they did not understand the issue. Definitely will not be placing an order again.

He estado en este hotel chino unas cuantas veces, se vuelve muy ocupado realmente no había suficientes lugares para sentarse y parece que les toma muchísimo tiempo. antes que he olvidado nosotros, nos dieron un incorrecto pedir hoy realmente tomó las galletas, esperar media hora para que finalmente llámenos tener confundieron con carne arroz frito con chow main ... ? era obvio para nosotros que por supuesto que no podría haber hecho este error ... Su era pésima actitud con ninguna disculpa y él ni siquiera nos dicen tardaría que nos la orden incorrecto, después de todo que se cancela y la izquierda. No tengo planes de volver otra vez.

Used to be a good quality and inexpensive takeaway, Waited 2 Hrs for the delivery (which included a phone call to see where it was after the first hr ) Finally got it! We wont be bothering again its not as good as it once was.

Dirty shop and noisy children running around. Normal boring food. Will not ever return. You couldn't hear what was being said because the children were screaming and I nearly slipped in the greasy floor.

Well, lets start with how nice the food was. We had a chinese from there a few years back and the food was disgusting, but this time we were pleasantly suprised:) we had it delievered and the service was fast, we had a very big order as it was a house party and everyone wanted different things, the man who delivered was very helpful, carrying the bags into the house and giving us a free bottle of cola. I seem to now always order from Fortune House now and have it delivered.

Cracking chineese takeaway in Skewen where we have enjoyed food in the past, they offer a delivery service, the food turned up 2 hours late, id stay away from the delivery service, the driver wasnt too happy when I said I didnt want it 2 hours late and take it back!
