Excellent friendly efficient staff. There is a good range of food at reasonable prices, nice cakes and snack or lovely meals, with well made drinks

We decided to book for dinner as other restaurants in the area that we wanted were booked up. So glad they were, food was amazing, staff really friendly, great ambience, had a lovely evening.

First visit to this charming old-fashioned restaurant. Very friendly staff, clean surroundings, excellent food, great value for money. Would definitely recommend, and looking forward to visiting again on my next trip to Wales.

I went in with my boyfriend and the food was horrible and disgusting never recommend because it was undercooked very chewy and rice was dry hope these people will improve from this information

Have regular takeaways from here, also our guests from guest house come here, as we highly recommend the food. Always perfectly cooked and warm friendly people. The batter on the fish is so light and crispy, not greasy like some places. Cannot recommend enough. 10 / 10

Went here on Saturday evening. We live about 15 miles away so were prepared to pop the food in the oven for ten minutes on getting home. This can have a negative effect on the overall taste with some foods. Not so with this food. It was well cooked, beautifully textured and full of flavour. My only slight criticism was that the onion bhaji was a tad over cooked but still edible. Well worth the drive to pick up. We live near a town where there are dozens of similar establishments and non of them come close to this.

As with most things in life these days, you get what you pay for. I went there on two different days (today being one) and in short, the contents of the pastie is mush. It’s barely edible. Who knows what they put inside? If you’re looking for some pieces of steak in your steak pastie, it ain’t gonna happen. You will get nothing but gravy and mush. Pay a few extra bucks and get a decent pastie somewhere else. It’s so bad that when I asked the fellow at the till what he would recommend that’s not mush, he said he didn’t know, as he doesn’t like the pasties. Nuff said.

Five of us called in here for breakfast last week, everyone enjoyed it and everyone left full. Would definitely go again.

Amazing place, with amazing views! We kept calling it the “Canada lodge” because it felt like you were in another country up there. Service was great and the food was lovely! Highly recommend taking a trip up there!

Came here last minute after an evening in town - didn’t think it would be very nice. But it was honestly delicious, very tasty veg spring rolls and it all stayed piping hot while we drove home! Sweet & sour sauce was slightly bland but overall quality was excellent!

Do not bother! Ordered at 17.00 received at 19.10 with some of the order missing tried to phone for over 1 hour after with no answer calls refused and this isn’t the first time this has happened…we won’t be using any more!!!! More than 1 chance given!!!

Fantastic chippy. We visited on both nights of a weekend trip and will certainly come back. Delicious, fresh food and not long to wait either!
