Have stayed here several times now and the new owner J.W.Lees who bought the business from the Whitbread group for seem to be improving the hotel which is also undergoing a massive refurbishment. All of the present staff that we met are excellent in doing their jobs and super friendly which surely must help the business to improve in the future, after all, it's good people that are hard to replace and should be looked after.

Disappointed with the food. Waited ages, coffee served without saucer which was totally odd. Then when the food came ,very basic. Won't be eating there again.

Please don't bother as eating here will ruin your holiday experience, which staff fail to realise that guests are actually here on holiday wanting a great service. Turned away more than once for an evening meal, shocking experience, staff did not want to serve you or keep the kitchen open, hospitality? No where near. Even when a table had been booked via the haven app, we got turned away and even got told by the manager ' to go somewhere else' I'm on holiday I replied where exactly? The staff are seriously like robots, no empathy towards customers at all. Computer says no, attitude. It puts me off ever returning to Presthaven Haven.

When you order a ‘Chocolate and salted caramel fondue sharing platter’ as a desert, you expect fondue do you not? Maybe it’s just me but what I don’t expect is a pot of chocolate ice cream sauce and a pot of strawberry ice cream sauce? This is not FONDUE. Nor is it salted caramel for that matter of fact. We were extremely disappointed having paid £12.49 to receive such a lame version of what looked a scrumptious picture on the menu. Rest of the food we had was ok to be fair, nothing to shout about but what you’d expect, but this was such a let down that I have no choice but to mark you right down.

Helen is a credit to the company, she creates such a welcoming atmosphere and nothing it ever too much to ask. Truly wouldn’t be the same restaurant without her.

Ordered food for the family, once food had got here it was freezing cold had to reheat everything we ordered and we only live round the corner so no excuses for it being cold and clearly staff members need to get taught how to do there job again because they are constantly missing things out of the order and I don’t mean just a dip they miss drinks and food constantly Would not go to maccies in Abergele unless you want awful service and freezing cold food, not worth paying so much money for a load of crap

without fail every time I go to this mcdonalds in particular, the food is always cold stale and for some reason you are made to wait a long time for it even tho its basically just sat there. the staff are rude and were unbothered when i tried to tell them my order was wrong and proceeded to ignore me at the window when i tried to ask a question

Tengo hijos y nietos... No hay riesgo de darles. Lo siento... Su respuesta fue... "¡NO FORMA PARTE DE SU UNIFORME! " SONHE NO TIENE QUE USARLO!

Perfectly decent for a chain pub. Two nations for £18 makes it good value, with kids meal deals. We fed a family of 6 for less than £10 a head with drinks. It's definitely the kind of place where you're better off on the grill because that's what they do most regularly.

I specifically asked for my baked beans to be put in a small dish.Again and for the third time they came on the plate. My breakfast was swimming in bean juice. When my breakfast did arrive it was cold. This is the 3rd time this has happened. The cook either doesn't understand requests or she's just plain thick. Will not be going there again.

Came here for breakfast with some guys before church one Sunday. We even had two breakfasts 45 mins apart, we were there for just over an hour and a half. A few weeks later we had fines for 100 for being in their car park. When you talk to the manager he shrugs all responsibility as they don’t own the park, if you talk to a parking company they say they are doing their job and if you speak to the council they say McDonald’s manage the lease. It’s insane and does not treat local people fairly - the entire penalty system here is a scam.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, I was taking some friends from Canada all around Snowdonia to see the sights and experience Welsh hospitality. Being welsh myself I am incredibly proud of my country. Sadly the cafe at the top of the horseshoe pass was closed, where I explained that I always get friendly service with plain wholesome food. It was 19.30 and sadly not many places were open on our journey back from the very North of Wales. I had passed here many times and couldn't believe our luck that it was open.....that is where our excitement ended. I was in pain from the walking and driving to and fro, and so my friend went in to enquire if they were still serving food. "we shut at 8" came the reply. So they quickly beckoned me in and order we did. To say that the middle aged female serving would turn milk sour was an understatement. We ordered plaice and chips....there were three of us. "we only have 2 fish" came the surly reply. Ok we will have the steak and ale pie and the 2 fish please we said. No acknowledgement, no please or thank you, so extra loudly I said "Diolch yn fawr cariad"hoping that she would at least give a smile if she was a fellow welsh person. Nope, not a crack. I immediately thought of a female Basil Fawlty. "are you sitting here or in the restaurant part" she enquired in a "I wish you would go away" kind of tone. So taking the initiative we moved into the restaurant area, where another group of Americans attempted their ordering.....poor things we thought. Out came the fish and chips (clearly frozen beforehand, but fair play they were cooked well and frankly cardboard would have tasted good, as we were very very hungry). The Pie....well, it was obviously again taken from the freezer. Which to be honest I get that, you cannot rely on custom so fresh would be impossible to achieve. BUT, that does not give the excuse for being miserable and downright rude. My visitors had not experienced this for the whole of our trip and have been greeted by my fellow welshmen with interest and friendly chat. I would avoid this place like the plague, I certainly will not be bringing foreign visitors again and suggest that maybe the staff attend some training on customer relations. It costs nothing to smile and be polite for me "manners maketh man". No wonder the place looks run down, if you treat customers like this then word will get around. Give up now, put it up for sale and sell it to someone who is interested in making some money as I am fairly sure people would flock around if you were a little cleaner and friendlier.
