A small pub with some cozy rooms and pool table. A spacious exterior area for those wishing to take advantage of the sunny Welsh weather 😎. Always relaxing. Now includes a small sturdy children's bouncy castle, need one for the adults now 😀. Toilets extremely we'll maintained & clean, makes a change. The staff are attentive and serve you quickly. They even smile and if they've got time will have a chat. Don't be put off by the punters, they don't bite, they also make you feel welcome. A great stop for families with children. I do know that the owner is doing his best to create a friendly and safe place to drink. It certainly seems to be working.

Called at the Connah’s Quay store today and the lovely cafe is now permanently closed. The store had no cooked chickens (told not delivered that morning), no strawberry tarts available and the offers for Fish Friday have finished. Do not see much of a future for this store and will not use it again. Asked to see the manager to express my views but nobody knew where he/she was this morning. Avoid if you have any sense!

Went for a funeral wake. Loads off buffet food. Staff nice. A little tired looking outside, but the function room is really nice. And the owner is doing the outside up too.

They get one star because I cannot leave zero. yet again at the scan as you go, I was selected for a check. approximately 80% of my visits resulted in a member of staff having to 'fondle' my shopping as if I was a thief. Not tonight. I have had enough. told the staff to take it all out of my bags and refused to pay for it. Midweek shop of over £52.00. they didn't give a damn. The management don't give a damn and blame 'clubcard'. Clubcard don't give a damn and blame Tesco. my wife and I have spent over £3000.00 in the last 12 months in the Mold Store alone. Not any more. But as I say, they won't give a damn! Contact me if you dare! I won't hold my breath! There are lots of other stores only too willing to take my money. Disgraceful. DO NOT GO THERE
