my son is 6 years old and he is autistic. today before I went up for coffee he bought yogurt from the tesco store and I ordered food for my daughter. I asked for a spoon for my son, they said I have to pay for it first and I went and paid for it and then I asked them kindly again for a spoon and this time the staff told me that they wouldn't give it to me. ok, I understand that we have to order from there, but my son is autistic and these two ladies watched my son try to eat without a spoon. how bad does a person have to be not to serve a child with a spoon. apart from that for a fish and chips we waited 20 minutes even though it was quiet.

Sausage tastes different, eggs over cooked and 1 of the bacon tasted like it was out of date and a teaspoon of butter for the toast

Service and atmosphere was good. Food was ok and seems bit pricy to me based on amount of food they served and the taste. The served panini looks so awful and taste was not that good. It would be helpful and quick if they keep 2 staff for front service at least in busy time else you have to wait. I was on queue for around 16 minutes to order and get my coffee. We had 4 coffee and a baby chino. The lady was in front desk was friendly. There is a lift to access the cafe from shop and the toilet was clean.

"Big" breakfast is ridiculously over priced. Asked for black pudding to be added which robbed me of £1.25 for one slice of it. One egg with runny yolk the other overcooked which is an indicator that the food definitely isnt freshly cooked. Toast was unbuttered and stone cold on arrival which snapped in half as soon as I touched it........massive rip off........Will never return for food here again

Waited an hour after being repeatedly told that we couldn't order food yet. Turns out they'd closed the entire kitchen down as they couldn't handle how busy it was... but there were literally only two other people in the cafe aside from us. But if we'd been told no food was being served whatsoever we could have been on our way elsewhere an hour earlier with alot less BS and annoyance. On top of this, before being given the above news regarding the kitchen, we'd ordered two drinks which took them around 40 minutes to make. Most ridiculous excuse for a "cafe" I've ever witnessed.

One of the worst cafes I've ever used never seems to get any better. From order to food it took 40 mins for a simple meal. Meals were of a very basic standard and not very large portions considering the price. Eggs were not cooked properly and the beans looked like they had been heated up all day. The toast was cold with solid butter.. The only plus side was the coffee.. Not sure if its Tesco run or and external company but either way they need to invest in some more hours to make the experience better.

The food was not good , they keep food under warm lights so it's not that fresh and the baked potato's where like stones under that light, The staff only use water to wash there hands which really isn't great to see. I won't be going back.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, I was taking some friends from Canada all around Snowdonia to see the sights and experience Welsh hospitality. Being welsh myself I am incredibly proud of my country. Sadly the cafe at the top of the horseshoe pass was closed, where I explained that I always get friendly service with plain wholesome food. It was 19.30 and sadly not many places were open on our journey back from the very North of Wales. I had passed here many times and couldn't believe our luck that it was open.....that is where our excitement ended. I was in pain from the walking and driving to and fro, and so my friend went in to enquire if they were still serving food. "we shut at 8" came the reply. So they quickly beckoned me in and order we did. To say that the middle aged female serving would turn milk sour was an understatement. We ordered plaice and chips....there were three of us. "we only have 2 fish" came the surly reply. Ok we will have the steak and ale pie and the 2 fish please we said. No acknowledgement, no please or thank you, so extra loudly I said "Diolch yn fawr cariad"hoping that she would at least give a smile if she was a fellow welsh person. Nope, not a crack. I immediately thought of a female Basil Fawlty. "are you sitting here or in the restaurant part" she enquired in a "I wish you would go away" kind of tone. So taking the initiative we moved into the restaurant area, where another group of Americans attempted their ordering.....poor things we thought. Out came the fish and chips (clearly frozen beforehand, but fair play they were cooked well and frankly cardboard would have tasted good, as we were very very hungry). The Pie....well, it was obviously again taken from the freezer. Which to be honest I get that, you cannot rely on custom so fresh would be impossible to achieve. BUT, that does not give the excuse for being miserable and downright rude. My visitors had not experienced this for the whole of our trip and have been greeted by my fellow welshmen with interest and friendly chat. I would avoid this place like the plague, I certainly will not be bringing foreign visitors again and suggest that maybe the staff attend some training on customer relations. It costs nothing to smile and be polite for me "manners maketh man". No wonder the place looks run down, if you treat customers like this then word will get around. Give up now, put it up for sale and sell it to someone who is interested in making some money as I am fairly sure people would flock around if you were a little cleaner and friendlier.
