The best restaurants in North Wales

Living locally we have visited often but food quality is now very poor. On the last three visits we have ordered bacon baps, on the first food was good three rashers of bacon on a fresh buttered bread roll, second visit still three rashers of bacon but on unbuttered toasted brioche bun which was awful, very sweet, third visit still the disgusting toasted unbuttered sweet brioche bun and now only two rashers of bacon. If you now only offer a toasted sweet brioche bun with bacon please detail this on the menu as this is not what is expected when ordering a bacon bap as detailed. Cake is hit and miss, good, not available or stale. Poor selection of cold drinks available. Hot drinks okay. Service is always very slow but not due to lack of staff or queues but due to the strange set up at the counter and lots of talking. Shame about the decline as this used to be very good busy local cafe and we prefer to support local but unless things improve we are unlikely to continue to visit this cafe.

Dont waste your money. I have thrown most of the food we ordered in the bin wasted £50 on food i wouldnt give a dog. Chicken was so dry i had to wash it down. Donna was dry and pitta hard as cardboard. Chicken pieces were so greasy and salty it made my child feel sick.

This was one of the worst melas from a Chinese I have ever had a waste of £50 our usual venue red sun in Mochdre was closed the only edible item was the prawn toast . I have given them 1 star for the receptionist who was friendly and the prawn toast… never again

Overpriced and not great quality. We went to try the takeaway for the first time and although we saw the prices were more expensive than other local takeaways we thought it would be better quality. We were very much mistaken. Not good value at all for the price - items were low on meat and the quality was not good. We will not go back.

Amazing food an great service would highly recommend...food was lovely an hot..an full of wonderful flavors........

Amazing pub in the centre of Conwy. Tracey, Ryan and the bar staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. Always a good atmosphere and have the best sport nights on. Our go to pub in conwy area

sweet and sour was the worst i have ever had. watery and insipid. pork was great lumps of something unimaginable and inedible. Never again

Went in to get some pasties and upon picking up the bags they were stone cold. I returned to the store about 2 minutes later to make them aware. I was faced with some rude old woman that claimed they are only warm when they come out of the oven and the counter is not heated! Never have I experienced pasties purposefully sold stone cold. Rude staff and cold food.

No lager again this pub used to be my local but bar staff are incompant cos to busy selling cocaine! Shut the place down cos it's a drug dealers main place of business

I never really take notice of trip advisor these days as it's a well known fact that most reviews are faked to improve a rating or are done by individuals who try to blackmail establishment by giving a bad review. However seeing as this place has so few negative or faked good reviews and the fact every time we drive past they are usually packed, we decided to give it a try, and to be honest my family were not disappointed! Very good food and very friendly and helpful staff. Definitely will be returning.

Not as good as they used to be... Soggy frozen baps, greasy donner and low quality burgers. Chicken is still good tho. This place has been a favourite of my family for years but in the last few years they have cut to many corners.And customer service just isn't what it used to be. Better quality and prices are available just down the road. Sorry Diana 😕

Man we is goin in dis place an its all posh an tables full of china and cutlery. A creepy guy in a hat cum up an he wittered on and on an wen de food cum he not go away like. We is eatin fast to get out and de bill cums an man we cud ave eated at McDonalds for a month wid wot him chargin us. Avoid dis place as its de pits man, I is warnin all of yous.

Food not hot. Lumps in everything. Service slow. Prices high. Huge gaps between courses. Our coffee was ordered but we had to remind the Staff to bring it to the table. My fellow diner found two hard lumps of carrot at the bottom of the bowl the tepid tomato soup was served in

Expensive drinks, no food, no atmosphere. Tried it after giving it a miss since Covid, wish I had not bothered. Declining from the standard it used to be with busy bar and good pub food. Such a pity the management have let it become so run down.

Really nice atmosphere, workers were very friendly and very accommodating. We were in here for a few hours and those hours just flew by, nice and clean, very polite! Definitely recommend!!
