Pound Bakery in Flintshire

Sausage rolls are horrible.pastry is fine but contents are disgusting.We threw them in the bin and went to the bakery on the same street in Mold for a more quality experience.Thats the last time I go into a pound bakery.

Never again! Walked in and there were 3 youngsters supposedly working but they were having a party, ignoring customers while chatting about crap and when it came to getting served well she grabbed the bacon with her hands, no gloves no tongs, put it on the side then got a bap, carried on talking, did not ask me if I wanted butter, sauce nothing, while one the others turned the “tunes” up and just had what felt like a rave! The other customers faces looked as astonished as mine! Also I was in shock! But this is the last time I will go there and I hope the staffing improves or MORE training is given!

40 % increase on certain things in a year wow. Going to tesco now for meal deal which is far better value

Called in the shop whilst in Mold and my husband spotted his favourite, MINCE PIES for sale on the summer. He couldn’t resist the temptation. They were of reasonable quality and not too expensive. The range of products was varied and the staff very welcoming. Will call in again.

The staff charge different prices for items. I called in and asked for two cheese on toast and a chicken sandwich – I was asked for £3.00. I looked at the sales person and glanced at the cheese and toast label that said 2 for £1.50 – the sandwich was £1.00. I was over charged – again – for the a second time in two weeks and was a few weeks ago also ! As this happens regularly, either the staff cannot count up, don’t know the prices, or other – I wonder who does the cashing up !

Handy if need something to fill you up the chicken and fillin is not always been reliable or good value very cheap and is a good bargain .

Whether its since the company went into administration or not and there not carrying as much stock ? but they quite often seem to run out of various items , ie sausage you would think I staple breakfast item but to run out for days ? Then there's the empty pasty/pie shelves and itll be about 20mins? Something wrong somewhere

£1, 2 pasties, can't go wrong really Staff are really polite and helpful. Breakfast options are pretty damn good too!

Loved the food it was beautiful and the prices... OMG they are sooo good but the mood that the staff have is absolutely outrageous! We walked in and told the man what we wanted and he got it for us and put them on the side so we picked our things up but then he shouted put the stuff back on so I know what your buying. The customer is ‘always right’ but in this mans world it’s not. Would go again definitely but I shall not tolerate this man!

Smaller pies/pasties are two for a pound. They also have bread, rolls, cakes and some salads. They do birthday cakes but for £10 you can do better in the supermarket.

Amazing value for money, the sandwiches are tasty and fresh, the pasties are delicious and their cakes are good too.

Called in the shop whilst on a visit to Mold and what a great find! There was such a range of cakes pastries etc at such a great price of £1 each for most of the items.It was mid afternoon when we were there And the shop was nearly sold out. This says a lot about the products it must be very popular. We bought a cream and jam sponge and had a piece each when we got home and it was lovely. We are so looking forward to trying the other cakes we bought. Excellent value for money and the staff were so friendly. Will certainly be going there again.

Splendid food for the price. Service is good and the pies are particularly tasty. Pound bakery provides good fast takeaway food at affordable prices.

New to the area and visited Mold as the nearest town. Hungry children in tow whilst in the market lead us to the Pound Bakery. Sausage rolls and hot dogs were the choices. Actually thought the sausage rolls were much better than "that" chain across the road....beautiful flaky pastry with no grease and as hot as can be.

Great sausage rolls, pasties and cakes. Regular special offers. Friendly staff, good High Street location.

I have to go here regularly to pick up bean and sausage pasties for my lad... at this price how can you possibly grumble... cheap as chips !

It's just a standard pound bakery. Cheap prices for alright food. Its quick and easy. Staff are always lovely.

Estupenda para un rápido aperitivo. cheat Si eso es lo que quieres que la calidad, pero el contenido de las tartas, etc. se rige por el precio mucho no esperes un montón de carne en su torta de carne. Lo que obtienes es buena para el precio. Es lo que es.

Comprar empanadas para el almuerzo desde aquí una vez, pero nunca más. Tomamos un bocado luego todos ellos tiró en una papelera. No alimentar a un perro con el que llena estas descuidadas mushing empanadas.

Not being funny but our dogs love a treat from here,how can you do it for the price bargain, bargain, the only negative is the staff always seem pissed off

Lovely food always piping hot! Loads of choice! Staff always friendly. Meat and potato are the best! Great value for money!

Its alright for £1.00 cant moan sometimes food is horrible but its OK good and cheap cant really moan for a £1:00

It is as advertised, a pound bakery shop. But the food is very food for the price. Whether it's cakes, baps or pies they are all freshly cooked and freshly made and very nice indeed.

Fantástica relación calidad-precio! Yo estaba atónita! Con más barato pensé que fuera sido wat que había pagado pero me llevaron de vuelta de la selección de todo, desde sabrosos hasta pasteles, tartas y empanadas, etc. la llena de comida encantadora donde tan bien merece una visita! La mayoría de los días, así que comienza a ir a gimnasio gona pronto! Jaja x

Always good food at really down to earth prices staff always friendly sandwiches plenty of choice as are pies and pasties

what can i say! 2 pies for a £1. get's very busy at lunch times but excellent value for money. and the pies and slices are very nice too.

All I can say is that the pies are cheap. The worst staff I have ever been served by. Miserable to say the least. Go across the road. Much better

quality is ok. value is ok. customer service good. variety is ok. veggie sausage roll are greasey. but for me its not healthy and i cant eat this sort of food. but a good option for many people.

a few times while being in pound bakery i have had bad customer service the staff are rude they pay more attention to other employees and they are NOT!! friendly with their customers, a few times the food has been under cooked especially the sausage rolls. i visted the store a few days ago and an employee was in the back puffing on an e-cigerette i walked in and she pretended to cough flapping the smoke away with her hands after she stopped coughing she served me but did not wash her hands! the store is suppose to open at 8:30am on weekdays but on ocasion i have been there at 8:40am and the store hasn't been open,

Basic, pie, sandwich and cake shop on a budget. If you are looking for a quick snack you can't really go wrong here.

Excellent value for money (love the soup) and food is always pipping hot . Very friendly staff . I have never seen this shop empty ! ( only when it's closed) !!!!!!!!

yes it is all a pound and you often get 2 pies or pastries for a poundbut over prices if you just want oneso go down to lidl

Why is it every time I go here the staff are more interested in talking to each other and ignoring their customers ?

I recently had to attend a training event in Mold, the itinerary for which contained the dreaded words "We are sorry but lunch can not be provided for this event". I therefore decided to stop off in Mold town centre to purchase not only something to take with me for lunch but also for a spot of breakfast to on the way.There are a choice of bakery/sandwich takeaway places in Mold but I opted for Pound Bakery as I've visited a number of other branches in the past and found them to be very good value for money. On first stepping in to this one it seemed smaller than the other branches I'd visited and consequently didn't have as much choice, but I did notice a member of staff in the back of the shop filling rolls and baguettes so perhaps I'd just turned up too early. I decided on a bacon barm for breakfast and a Mexican chicken baguette for lunch. The bacon barm was pretty average but at least they didn't charge extra for a sachet of tomato ketchup like some places do. I've had the Mexican chicken baguette many times before and enjoy them because they don't lack a bit of a kick but this one was particularly spicy, it almost brought tears to my eyes! I doubt that they mix the fillings in store so this may have been a one off, or maybe people in Mold just really love jalapenos. I enjoyed it but be very wary if you don't like extra hot food, you might want to stick to ham salad.All in all it was ok and at two quid for both breakfast and lunch it was as always with Pound Bakery very good value for money.
