Friendly, clean, and lovely food.

Had a meal for 6 tonight, the food was great - usual Glasfryn high standards, but the service is just too slow. 15 mins at the table before invited to order drinks, then 5 staff stood around whilst I waited to pay. Apart from the service speed everything else was fine - just need to walk the floor more guys.

Great little pub - lots of indoor and outdoor seating and gorgeous views! Food was decent. Plenty of parking available too

Great place been going for many years the food for our party of 6 was disappointing for 4. The fish & oven chips had no taste fish quite flat and tartar sauce just not great. The other pork chop was only ok. The other 2 meals were excellent the sea bass and crispy beef salad. But we as a party wouldn’t rush back.

Great service, well priced, good atmosphere. Food seems to have dropped off a bit recently.

I haven't been to the glasfryn for approx a year,was always good food...I went for my birthday with family,The staff were rude and miserable.The food was very dissapointing all round and for the price not good and for which we had to wait for a hour..would not go back

A lovely place to spend a sunny afternoon, lots of tables outside in the garden. The food was delicious and the drinks were great, a nice calm family atmosphere too. Staff were very friendly and helpful, we really enjoyed our time here :)

We had a lovely afternoon lunching at Glasfryn for our wedding anniversary, the meal came quickly, we didn't feel rushed at all, thank you Glasfryn, you made us feel very welcome.

I've been here dozens of times over the years but this week I took my Dad out for his birthday. The waitress was fantastic and the food was really lovely! I only have praise for the team and the whole meal (actually 4 meals....a family event!).

Brunning & Price are probably my favourite pub chain. And this one has the usual high standard of food and service.

Wonderful restaurant with beautiful food.

Older man behind the bar who appeared to be in a bad mood was far from welcoming and not one member of staff so much as cracked a smile throughout. Had to ask if table service as was just ignored and no further follow up on how our food was/if we wanted more drinks etc. When we had to ask for something it felt like we were inconveniencing them. Poor attitude and atmosphere amongst the staff which is a shame as the food was lovely.

Was lovely view,s from dinning room I had fish cakes ..bit bland not much taste but Ate one my husband had fish chips he said was lovely so carnt please every one

So clued up on GF made this coeliac v happy..so many choices too!

Food was mostly great but 1 steak was not the best quality as was very grissily. Other streak was perfect and easy to cut. Bit slow service though was only mildly busy and servers not very attentive.

Excellent evening with friends. Excellent choice of beers and the food was very good.

I had fish and chips and onion rings the chips were hard and greasy the batter was hard and greasy the onion rings were greasy and no onion inside we were never asked if we wanted another drink or any water won't be going again

Love this pub. Food is always superb, service rapid, and atmosphere fantastic. It has a gorgeous view from the beer garden too. I’ve never had anything but a great meal from here.

We have previously visited this establishment a few times but unfortunately the food tonight was not upto the usual standard. The food was substandard dry and tasteless possible change in chef but not good enough to travel to again. Sadly doubt we will return.

2nd visit as the first one last month was soooo good. Sunday mixed roast with pigs in blankets and cauliflower cheese....outstanding. Well worth the 40 minute drive. Fabulous setting. Coffee & dessert we had outside under heated canopy watching the rain. The perfect Sunday with terrific views.

This is a lovely place to go for a meal, or even just a drink. With a comfortable, stylish feel indoors, and lots of space and seating outdoors, with fabulous views - it is a great place to unwind. We have never had a bad meal here, and have eaten here many times. From Sunday Roasts, to Steak Burgers and various unique dishes, the Glasfryn never disappoints. There is a good selection of wines and ales, and it is dog friendly too!!! Update: Went again last night. Again delicious food with some new dishes on the menu.....I had the Schnitzel which was fabulous. I had two different ales and they were spot on too. The others had the Feathered Beef and the Goat's Cheese Salad, which they said were amazing......especially the Goat's Cheese!!!

Fantastic pub, brilliant scenic location, ample choice of cask ales, early evening and very busy. Food was lovely if a little bit pricey but would definitely call in again when in the area.

Beautiful pub never tried the food but looked good. Beer garden was perfect. Really lovely place to go for afternoon drink chill out and take in the views when the sun is out.

We arranged to meet friends, here for lunch, we all had a lovely lunch the atmosphere was pleasant with a nice fire glowing in the corner. I've always found staff to be polite and attentive. The food selection has always been interesting for those who have a plain taste or for those who like to have something different. I found the food well cooked and of a good portion size.

Snotty attitude when it came to minutes after their 'outside food policy' both bar staff and waiting rude.

A lovely pub/restaurant with an extensive menu and delicious food. The interior is cosy but if you choose to sit outside the views are amazing. The staff are always helpful and friendly 😊

We have been to The Glasfryn many times previously, this time it was a little disappointing 😞. The food was good, the atmosphere was good, but the Service let it down this time. The bar service was good, but it took ages for the food to come out. The bar staff actually asked if we had received our food yet! We weren't given a reason, but suspect our order had been misplaced as other meals were coming out in a reasonable time. We will return as we suspect this is a one-off situation🤔

Lovely place in a stunning location! Staff are very nice and helpful. Easy to park with lots of spaces. Busy as we came on a Saturday but didn't feel overly busy as it's a good size and didn't even have to wait that long. Menu is massive, and food is far more interesting than I first thought. When you look at the outside, you assume the menu would be standard and pretty boring, but boy, was I wrong! Reading about sweet potato, lime and Coconut was far from what I expected to find here and was absolutely gorgeous, I also got the lamb shoulder and both dishes tasted amazing, massive portions and not even a bad price. I wish I had taken photos of the food as it looked almost as good as it tasted. I will have to return and try more of the amazing menu. 5* all day long Also love the meal tickets, great touch

We had a lovely meal yesterday evening at this very nice pub /restaurant , staff were friendly and accommodating food was first class ! The chicken and wild mushroom pie was the best I’ve ever had ! Will definitely be returning here ☺️

Wow. I'm not easily impressed but this place was fantastic, the warmest welcome, most delicious and hot food, lovely atmosphere. I'll have to drive up from London, but I'll be back!

Great setting for another B&P experience..²

Edit# Thank you for your reply which is as helpful as your phonecall. You've failed to acknowledge my issue and in doing so confirmed my complaint. When we booked the table by internet or call on 26th you shouldn't have waited until the 1st of April a bank holiday to ring two hours before the sitting to cancel?! So my review and advice stays the same, don't pre-book a table and assume it will be there on the day, especially if god forbid you are taking a dog to a dog friendly place. This is one of my local places (next village along), we booked on Mother's Day and had two of three meals dreadful. We took a full refund on one meal it had been cooked that poorly. Nevertheless it is our local and we know mistakes and bad days happen. We booked a table for five at 12:30 on 26th March for 1st April in the bar with one dog - Bank Holiday meal with in-laws who had travelled from Norfolk to see us. We had an email on 30th March asking us to confirm our booking which we duly did. 9:45 on 1st April honestly thinking it was an April Fool, Glasfryn rung me to say our table wasn't available - despite our booking a week earlier. Apparently they only check the actual bookings at 9am on the day and therefore couldn't accomodate us. Absolutely flabbergasted - bank holiday booking cancelled with two hours notice. No big apology, no offer of future booking discount, was told could probably squeeze you in around 5pm. A phone call completely lacking apology and ownership, it was a oh well we just can't fit you in type of call. I won't ever go here again now it was truly rotten service and as a big company their management of pre-bookings should be better especially on holidays and special bookings - such as our case with a dog. Fish and Chips from The Big Fish in Mold (luckily open) as we couldn't secure a table on bank holiday anywhere else. Disappointed

Made a booking online for 5No. adults and 1No. well behaved dog, 1No. week in advance for family meal on 01.04.2024. Booking made on line and accepted, was then sent a confirmation email on Saturday, this was also confirmed and accepted. To then be contacted @ 09.30am on the day of the meal to be told unable to be accommodated, and the staff only check the on line bookings on the morning of the day. No apology, no alternative solution offered, just leaving a family of 5No. adults no where to eat on Easter Monday. We have been to Glasfryn many times before, though this in inexcusable and poor table management. Will never be going again. Jez @ Northop. 03.04.2024 I made the booking, on your own online system and confirmed on the on line booking which was made one week before you cancelled, that it was for 5No. adults and 1No. dog, not dogs! The way you manage all bookings needs to be addressed. I will not be back. I would rather support other local establishments that take responsibility for their errors.

The food is amazing, my second visit with friends, we will be back. Can not fault anything about this place.

Have been here on several occasions and it's always great. We went again today and once again it was faultless and the waitress serving our table was absolutely brilliant and very attentive but unfortunately finished her shift before we could thank her so hopefully someone can pass on our thanks

Well where do I start? The service is above and beyond, with everyone singing from the same Hymn sheet. The view and gardens are to die for. Loads of parking and disabled friendly. Dogs are welcomed like guests and spoiled each time, from several staff members just walking passed with welcoming smiles. The real ales and craft ales are always diverse and something for every pallet. And then the food OMG! Again always a diverse seasonal menu, even the vegan food is so tasty and I’m not a vegetarian. This place has a great pub at its core to welcome you, with massive yet cosy restaurant wings left and right, that would rival any in a world city restaurant.

A popular and busy place. Advisable to book a table which is very easy on-line. The food was good as was the service.

Suggest taking custard off the menu as been there 3 x times and each time custard sold out!

Lovely place for a meal or even a quiet drink, dog friendly too. The food & service was outstanding and would certainly go again.

Very good food (huge Yorkshire puddings with the Sunday roast) and a good selection of drinks. Make sure you try the sticky toffee pudding! I liked that the allergy menu seemed comprehensive. Very busy place, I'd recommend booking in advance. I wanted to sip some Jaegermeister as an aperitif to help me digest, but they don't serve any drink that people have in shots (eg tequila)

A nice atmosphere and staff, but falling far behind similar restaurants in terms of vegan/veggie options.

Go regularly for lunch but its got worse either they are over-booking or not enough staff. Friday took an age to get the first drink, then they forgot!! the second order. Food took an age between courses.

Lovely place to enjoy lunch, excellent food, great service and dog friendly.

My wife and I went without booking on a busy Monday afternoon and were easily seated by a roaring fire (just what we needed after a long, frosty walk). The service was pleasant and immediate, and the food extremely tasty. I had the chicken pie which came with loads of veg and for the price was an ideal (generous) portion. It was one of the best pies I had in years. My wife had the quiche and whilst tasty and looked great on the plate was a more meagre portion and didn't seem to be as good a portion considering the price. We will still be going back none the less. The great thing about Brunning and Price pubs is that they do gastro pubs so well. You know you will get decent food, it's not too pricy and the surroundings are always nice. There is usually always plenty of choice for food and drink and it is very easy to cater for people with restrictive diets and fussy eaters.

Lovely pub with great food and fantastic service.

Starter was lovely but the veggie mains - leek pie - was the worst main course I have ever had there. I had to send the meal back as it was smothered in gravy, I had wrongly presumed the gravy would come in a jug. The replacement meal had undercooked veg and rock hard roasties. Their veggie choices are very poor so won't be rushing back there.

Food and service was great , but this was a Christmas catch-up for family and friends, but we were unable to do that due to a very noisy band... Would have been good if we were told about this before hand

Excellent Sunday Roast, the Beef was pink (as per the menu) and cooked to perfection and very tender, 👏 👏 👏 to the Chef's. Service was excellent, attentive, and friendly, but not intrusive. Well done to all, will be back

Excellent food and service for our party of 8 tonight. There was an extensive Christmas menu, as well as their daily menu. The quality of the food was excellent.

We love our 5 visits to the Glasfryn each year, we live in Sussex. Such an amazing location and building. The quality of the food and drink is excellent. Yesterday we had a minor disappointment - the size of the 'taster' pud that comes with the coffee/ pud option was MUCH smaller than normal!

Our favorite place to eat, great food, the lamb is amazing. Just a shame the dauphinoise potato's have been taken off the menu, they were the best I've ever eaten.

Lovely place. Wall lined with a bookcase. Traditional wooden and leather seating and tables. Very cosy but slow service after receiving our drinks. I presume this is a one-off occurrence because a large group of people got up to pay and everyone paid separately. Staff seem very polite. But, hey - when the food came. Absolutely deliciously fantastic. 12 out of 10 for the food.

Have dined at the Glasfryn a number of times and this visit has been one of the best, can't fault any of the main roast meal of beef and pork. Was perfect in every way and about to try a desert for the first time here, a sticky toffee pudding! My favourite. The menu is more delightful than ever, looking forward to our next visit and would highly recommend.

Consistently good place to meet up with friends. Great atmosphere, relaxed, excellent food and service a good balance of attentive but equally leave you in peace .

We arrived without a booking. It was full but they fitted us in and I had one of the best meals I can remember. The venison and smoked bacon suet crust pie was outstanding. I had chips instead of mash and it was all faultless. The staff were friendly and pleasant and all in all it was a really good experience. Thank you.

The staff were very helpful and the venue is pleasant.

We went on a Sunday and had 2 of the roasts, one mixed and one pork, 2 burgers and a fish and chips. The meals are huge, the roasts are ginormous but still really good quality food. The fish and chips looked like a whale and again, was hot and freshly cooked and the steak burgers were delicious. Wide variety of drinks and the service was good even though the place was packed. Great food, good service, we will definitely be back!

I had an evening meal here at the end of October after the clocks had changed so it was dark very early and cold too, so there was no chance of sitting outside. The inside was welcoming with a real fire and attentive staff. The meals and starters were great, and the wait wasn't long although they were busy. There weren't many empty tables in any of the dining rooms. My wife decided to have a starter, and then follow that with two different starters instead of a main, and the staff didn't blink an eye. Overall it was a great venue and excellent food, and staff that know how to look after you without smothering you. Highly recommended.

Underwhelmed, visited last week with friends waied 40 minutes after being seated just to take food orders luckily we brought drinks from the bar.struggled to get another drink during the meal. Food wise I ordered the roast it was lovely shade of pink but sadly tough difficult to cut with the cutlery or my teeth.

The cook doesn't do custard with any sweet menu ☹️

Ate here with my wife and mum excellent food,the beer is a reasonable price and staff are lovely. Will be returning soon hopefully

Visited on a Monday evening so very quiet, lovely service. Food was great. Really enjoyed our time and could easily hold and conversation.

Food was outstanding, it's not a cheap meal, however, i don't mind with the quality of food. Have the feathered beef, the best I've tasted!
