China Palace Criccieth in Gwynedd

Smelt lovely walking the dog, so picked up a menu and dropped in for a takeaway Monday Ordered 2 king prawn curry's and rice 2 chips and a crispy chilli beef and rice.. On opening the curry was very watery and greasy looking not a lot of onion and several prawns ,it was nice ..better than we thought but thicker curry sauce would've been much better. The crispy beef was hurrendous. Do not order..not crispy but burnt and overcooked, was like it was refried and had gone too hard..so for us a dissapointing meal

The take away was recommended to us so I was surprised to see bad reviews. I then saw that they were all a few years old. We had the set meal for two which was excellent. Perfectly cooked, very tasty and quickly prepared. Portion sizes were as expected, the standard takeaway container size. Will definitely be using them on a regular basis.

Stay Away!! Expensive trash.. oil floating on top of curry. Mushy egg fried rice it was more like rice pudding. Special fried rice with no rice just veg. All very tasteless. Had better Chinese from a supermarket.. been ripped off... Worst Chinese I've EVER had..

Disappointed, have had decent food in past. The chicken and cashew nuts were misding the nuts as the beef was missing the ginger. Food was bland and uninspiring. Shame as had good food in the past

Food was floating in so much grease. The rice was dry. Like really dry Over unenjoyable. Wont be returning.

Had a takeaway from here on a Saturday evening. Was given a time slot for pick-up and the food came out exactly on-time. The menu has a ton of interesting dishes and everything was tasty. Four stars as it wasn’t up there with the best, but no significant complaints. Would definitely go there again.

We had special chow mein and king prawn balls. All the meat was so tender and everything was really tasty and delicious. I’ve not had such a delicious Chinese for a long time!

King Prawn Curry! THE most disgusting Chinese ‘meal’ I’ve ever seen. Took the lid off the container to reveal what looked like the contents of an unflushed motorway services toilet. Don’t just take my word for it - just look at it! If no stars were an option I’d use it. Do yourself a favour, go somewhere else, anywhere.

Stayed at haven y mor haven, We ordered from China palace Criccieth twice, excellent food and delivery was prompt and on time, after calling to advise were on the way Cannot recommend this enough we will certainly use again Nobody else delivers and was the best chinese food we have ever had

Its the worst Chinese food I have ever had plus it's cash only!. The curry dish i ordered lacked any form of substance or taste. There is no online presence and the establishment decor left very little to be desired.

Would not recommend: Stayed in the area for a weekend away. £36, for 2 people definitely not value for money at all. Very disappointing and needed to put food in microwave as just warm (home delivery). You could have used the chips as skis.

Excellent staff service, delivery price is very reasonable, and food tastes amazing. Often our Saturday night family take away.

Staying in the area on holiday and ordered from here despite the negative reviews. The food was great, tasty and hot. Not badly priced either. Felt like I need to leave a positive review to outweigh the negative ones. Glad we ordered and wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Really lovely food and they delivered to our lodge. PERFECT . Food was hot and tasty. The satay chicken and the sweet and sour chicken just lovely. We had other things that were also amazing. Really lovely find. Thanks to the chef.

While staying in a glamping pod locally we enjoyed friendly service and good food. Ordered by telephone, and we were really pleased to find that they would deliver to our pod - enjoyed our food so would recommend.

I can't believe we saw bad reviews for China Palace. The food is extremely good. Just had our first take away. Ready in ten minutes of ordering. We had salt and pepper prawns, crispy shredded chicken, beef rendang and kung po chicken. We were impressed...

Always a consistent and amazing standard, order 100% correct and the prices are good too. Would recommend to anyone. Salt and pepper beef is our favourite. It’s amazeballs. I have no idea why this place isn’t ranked higher.
