Good service, good portion size and pretty cheap. Losing 1 star due to being a bit salty. Special chow mein was nice, lots of meat in it.

We’re not from the area so called into the closest place for food whilst waiting for a bus and we’re so glad we did! The chips were fresh and beautiful as well as the gravy. We were served so quickly too with great service! Also surprisingly inexpensive prices. Definitely recommend if you’re about in Caernarfon.

Probably the best customer service ever, but the food quality was not anywhere near the service, we didn't eat, and won't be going there again, shame, brilliant service, !!!none of the food was off the Chinese menu!!! This may be why.

We stayed In Caernarfon for a holiday and fancied a Chinese - we were NOT disappointed!!! Food was absolutely delicious and I couldn’t believe the price! Incredible.

Had sweet and sour chicken and fried rice /chips 2 weeks in a row it was perfect both times .

Just had chips and gravy and while eating a chip felt something hard in my mouth, thought a tooth had chipped. Pulled out a piece of glass. Horrified to say the least.. last time I will be going there

Your friendly local Anglo-Chinese takeaway, good prices, good tastes, good textures, just the right amount of greasy but not overwhelming, great portion sizes and usually very friendly staff. One day I went here to grab a haul and I thanked the old bloke in back for the food and he started singing in Mandarin(?), very cool guy. Can't go wrong with Lee's: they've got just what you want and just what you expect.

Myself and wife called in here today. Delicious hot crisp chips curry and gravy spot on and reasonably priced

The food we got tonight went straight to the bin! There was a weird burning smell & taste to the chicken curry! It was awful! We’ve been coming here for years and never had much problems, but tonight has put me right off. Will definitely be going elsewhere from now on!!! Waste of money!!!!

I am livid I went to Lee’s chinese to get chicken balls and some sweet and sour sauce I was so exited to get it since I’ve been wanting chicken balls for ever!!!!!!! I went in and the place didnt look nice it was rusty and I went beside it to go to my car and I found at the back of the store a dead rat and a person practically smoking inside. I went home thinking do not judge a book by it’s cover when I went to open my sweet and sour sauce I saw a dead daddy long legs with the wings on it in my sauce dead! I haven’t been able to eat my chicken balls now and I’m livid ! This place is disgusting 🤮

Vile! Ate some of the chicken in the curry I ordered,I threw 80% in the bin. Asked for salt and vinegar on my chips, received none. Pork 'crispy' spring rolls not as described in any way, shape or form. Save your money and your tummy, disgusting.

Just been to lees takeaway for the first time tonight it was out of this world really tasty would recommend it to anybody I will be going here every time I come to carafanau

It has a 3 star rating that should give you the idea of hygiene standards, They pulled bags of prawn crackers from a bin liner and the inside was very dirty. I ordered chicken curry with no onions and egg fried rice x 2 of each. I ended up with 2 onion curries with a little chicken and 2 mushy portions of rice . It couldn't be eaten. I phoned up and was told it would be replaced next time i was in caernarfon. I went the following week and was told it wouldn't be replaced? However they would give me the rice for free when i re-order. The rice comes for free with the curry so it wasn't really much of a saving. Needless to say i didn't take them up on the offer. Onion curry isn't my favorite curry especially as i don't like onions, Hence my no onion in my chicken curry order

Is busy some time you have to wait for your food

We have been using Lees since we moved here 20 years ago. Love their food and won't try anywhere else now as have had some awful food elsewhere. Also love their lunchtime specials

had half and half with curry for lunch, was only around £3.. Quick service. Food was nice.. Come here often with work

Only tried this place as our regular Chinese takeaway was closed due to it being Chinese New Year. The noodles were soggy and drenched in some type of sauce which was not pleasant and the sweet and sour chicken was the strangest I've ever tasted, had a bitter taste to it. Waster just over £16 and only managed a few mouthfuls. Shame as I remember food being nice from here years ago. As mentioned in the title will not be returning any time soon!

Phoned to order to which we got a time of “20 minutes” to collect. Arrived and had to wait another 15 to receive our food. I highly suspect that if we’d just turned up at the time we phoned then we’d have had our food earlier. Disappointing.

Only just come home from the worst possible experience at Lee’s. Firstly, we were served once the two young women behind the counter managed to hault their conversation about cocaine (with another woman in the shop as well) to be bothered enough to serve us. Rude, rude women that clearly did not care to be there. Got served, waited whilst they blissfully carried on as they were anywhere but work with their conversations and eventually we got our food. Got out food to come home to realise that we had been served the wrong food, and when we called to advise we had the same young woman on the phone who answered with ‘bonjour, lee’s’ in a very mocking manner whilst laughing, and when we told her the mistake she said ‘Well I did ask you, so it’s your fault!’ (not true but not the main point, no type of apology or customer service whatsoever) So very cocky. Such a shame, been coming here for over 10 years and will NOT return until the staff have been trained or replaced. Disgusting.

Went here today with work colleagues after work for some lunch at around 1:30, walked in and the two ladies looked like they had no motivation to serve us was told there is a 20min wait for chips...really?! When there was no one else there. Not only that the lady who told us there was a wait was on a desperate mission to go on a fag break as she was behind the counter holding cigarette! Just by waking in a can say this place is below average rating. The cleanliness of the premises would be enough to tell you that. I can’t comment on the staff attitude however there was no customer aspiration at all also to be holding a rolled up cigarette behind the counter that’s just damn right terrible. Staff needs retraining and perhaps a food hygiene course wouldn’t go a miss. I wont return here until big improvements are made...very unlikely 😑

Been here a few times. The chips are good and the Chicken Fried Rice is good. You can have the Chicken Fried Rice with or without gravy. But I always have mine with it. I've never had any problems with this one. Thanks.

Great chips that are crispy and delicious. Curry sauce is 1 of the best I've tasted if I'm.honest. I always come here for a "special" for £2.50 (chips, sausage/fish cake etc and sauce) Thanks guys

I'm really surprised by all the good reviews this place has. I was extremely disappointed with it. We discovered they had completely got the order wrong when we went to collect it, they did ammend it but the food was awful, in fact it was the worst Chinese I've ever had. Despite being starving I couldn't eat it. I would not recommend it.

The staff are friendly and chirpy. The food came out relatively quick in comparison to other take away establishments. The food was very nice and filling and the portion size are very generous. The price also was very reasonable.

Awfull food! Soup like water, ribs undercooked, special fried rice no prawns ordered recieved it with prawns lucky me and my daughter aint allergic to prawns plus no meat in it, will never order again!!

Alwyas very quick. You order over the phone ans its usually ready in 10 minutes. Beef curry is one od the best ive ever had drom a chinese reataurant. Chips are always good too. Avoid the noodles . Well priced and large portions

Tasty and accommodating Chinese take away. I ordered king prawn fried rice, on the recommendation of the guy at the till. The food came really quick, it was hot and with plenty of prawns. I did go back for some chilli oil for that added kick - that made the dish yummy.

When i phoned the woman on the phone was rude and couldn't understand my order so i put the phone down. They phoned me back and they finaly got my order. Went to pick up my food and took it home. Half the food wasn't what I ordered, and what they did get out of my order it was shait! Wont be going there again!!!!!

Hoy llamé y pedí pollo frito arroz y rollitos de primavera de verduras. La señorita dijo 10 / 20 minutos así que definen y llegamos a la tienda en 20 minutos. Así que caminar y la señorita me preguntó mi nombre y desapareció en la parte de atrás con nada más dijo. Entonces ella puede volver de nuevo con una palabra y esta vez tenía 3 / 4 más clientes a la tienda. Ella hizo caso omiso de esas a contestar el teléfono.

Sorry Lee's but I have to agree with the last reviewer. Chicken Fried Rice, S&S sauce. Tasteless and looked unlike any Chinese meal ever seen. The shop appeared very popular with the locals. Lady serving very friendly to everyone collecting their pre-orders. We should have suspected that the locals had radically differing tastebuds when she asked if they would like 'gravy' on almost everything! Just don't get it!! Not a whiff of unctuous spice or handsome chickenie, veggie 'fried' rice. Thank goodness for the kindly free bag of Prawn Crackers. Not a pleasant end to our glorious long weekend break in a truly beautiful part of the country.

Total rubbish. Ordered industry standard Chicken Fried rice, cant go wrong. I also ordered Curry sauce to go with it because you order fried rice dishes because they are dry and its the norm for you to wet it as necessary.For some stupid reason Lee's serve Fried rice with sauce already included.Horrable, Bland reformed chicken strips, layer of non fried rice in bottom of tray. TASTELESS.Will Never use them again.

We order from here every week or every other, amazing food as always and great service even when it can get busy I do recommend to phone the order through first depending on how busy it is your order will be ready within 15-30mins and always pipping hot! Only once has our order got muddled up we had someone else's dish so we took it back and they said don't worry we realised and made another for the other customer so you can keep this one which was nice as we got to try something different to what we usually get can't remember what it was but ita was lovely. Other that cannot fault this place, keep doing what you do best!!

No staff manners, disgusting food (chinese) the irony is that their chips are very good. The interior feels like youve stepped into the 50's. Just avoid try the Lucky Fish bar. The only upside for Lee's is that its in a prime location for tourists,buses and parking so its always fairly busy even though the customers probably dont cone back a second time.

Haven't been here for years so thought we would give it a go! Should have stuck to my usual takeaway this place is awful in comparison! My food smelt and tasted of fish and it was rice and beef supposedly!!! Place looks dirty and the complimentary prawn crackers were yellow, a sure sign of dirty oil!! We phone an order through about once a month. The service is great and very friendly. You are given an estimated time of pick up and usually when you arrive the food is very nearly ready. Never had a wrong order. Cost wise about average to other Chinese take aways in the area. Chips are gorgeous! Can't be faulted really.

Top quality all round, some of the best prawn toast and seaweed I've ever had, and good size portions too. The only downside was they forgot to add the sweet and sour sauce which made the main meal a disappointment. So check your takeaway before you leave

Chinese or traditional Chippy, I could not make up my mind? I have always enjoyed a takeaway from the this place, and it is noticeable that they try to cater and provide a great service to the community in this very busy quarter of the town. However, if I wanted a Chinese then I'd go to a Chinese takeaway and the same if I wanted a fish supper. In my opinion you either need to be commited to one or the other. Chinese takeaways are renowned for not quite getting their chippy chips quite right, but that is not the case here. Good chips fair play. The menu is extensive, but feel they do too much for such a small place. Ten out of ten for effort!Wow, the service was the most efficient I have ever come across in any takeaway I have used over the years. Almost entertaining and impressive . Polite staff, fast service, good nosh, extensive menu that has amazing lunch time specials.My continual custom to Lee's will be based on nostalgia more so than anything else. Its a good experience!

I'm genuinely surprised at the lack of reviews on this as this is always packed every time i've ever ordered anything from here. I'll admit it's not the best chine takeaway that i've had but it's certainly above average! I usually get vegetable and cashew nuts with noodles whilst my partner gets pecial chow mein or the vermicilli noodles and often we also get prawn toast and spring rolls. The complimentary prawn crackers are a lovely extra and are the best prawn crackers i've tasted in years! the sauce with the vegetables and cashew nuts isn't the nicest i've had but It's still lovely and the service behind the counter is always lovely too. excellent value for money and never had a problem so far! :)

had a chinese last night.. sweet and sour chicken fried rice. The food was terrible!! the chicken didn't look like chicken the rice was just horrible and the sauce was like water!! Wouldn't recomend this chinese to anyone i wouldn't even give it to my dog! It isn't that clean ether and the staff are rude.
