Visited twice during our holiday and both evenings were excellent. All the staff were welcoming, informative and professional.
Great atmosphere.
The small plates all have an imaginative twist and having tried 10 different ones over the 2 visits there was no disappointment in any.
Highly recommend.
Sunday dinner was amazing. Could see everything was homemade and it was all very tasty. Puddings were great. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Might be out of the way on the a5 but definitely worth the detour.
Not worth the inflated price. Some of mains not up to standard. Extremely disappointed with minimalistic servings. Also, extremely difficult to access.
This cute little cafe with a knockout mediterranean soup sits near the end of a narrow road to the sea in Church Bay, far off most of the main thoroughfares on Anglesey. It's worth the detour. Uniquely decorated (special shout-out to the hilarious "Wi-Fi Password" sign in the toilet), dog-friendly, and staffed with some of the most delightful people I encountered in Wales. There's a pay lot for parking just up the hill from the restaurant, although plenty of other cars seemed to be using the shoulder of the road for free parking (as they do on most of Anglesey!). If you're worried about someone dinging your vehicle, the pay lot is fairly inexpensive.
We were treated to Sunday lunch here last week and we all said it was the best roast dinner we’d had in a long time. We all had different meats which all came with the usual trimmings, plenty of fresh vegetables, roasties and extra mash, extra gravy and all the condiments, and plenty of it. The puddings were all homemade and delicious. We were first in the dining room but it soon filled up so booking is essential by the looks of it. The service was fast and friendly. Couldn’t fault anything and we’re all looking forward to going back again soon.
Loved everything about Sosban! Everything was done with intent and from the heart. This is very confident cooking and there is nothing mainstream about the entire experience. Go if you have an open mind, adventurous and are able to trust the chef. If you like a convential michelin starred restaurant, then this won't be for you.
Good service in this place, reasonable prices and some decent food as well. The owner is a nice guy, the place could do with a bit of a makeover but i like the idea of them opening other places, this is a good caffe.
Had an early table booked for dinner today, and what a good idea it was.It had been a beautiful day and the view from the Hotel that contains the Tonnau restaurant is truly spectacular. We had a drink from the bar and took in the view whilst pondering over the menu which is quite comprehensive for all tastes. My wife chose the sea bass on a bed of veg and I chose the Italian chicken with mash and veg. These mains were beautifully cooked and presented hot and fresh. The desserts were duperb also and we retired back to the bar for coffee.
The dining room is nicely presented with plush carpet and soft furnishings. The bar and lounge is also luxuriously fitted out and of course has the view. All staff were friendly and efficient and we had s really nice evening.
I brought my wife and kids to this place as I fancied a curry. I hadnt booked and just walked in. The waiting staff were exceptional and polite special thank you to Lilly who brought our drinks and to Tipu for his advise on the curries. Would recommend this place thank yoi.

The hot chocolate is absolutely 10/10! Get it with cream and marshmallows and you won’t stop smiling! The staff are amazing and friendly, they couldn’t do enough for us. There are loos on site (it’s a cafe in a park). Just a lovely pit stop before wandering into Beaumaris. Please visit!
We stayed at a hotel just around the corner but didnt feel like going down to breakfast. We found Roberts Bakery, and that was the answer. For breakfast rolls, croissants, and cakes, this is the only place you need to go. The food is amazing, and the staff are charming and helpful. And the prices are pretty good too. Dont miss this amazing place if you come to Anglesey.
I write this review with a heavy heart as sadly thanks to the current climate, the wonderful 'Hideout' and it's super special Team will be no more.
We, as a family have had the pleasure of eating here so many times and also enjoyed many of their fabulous offerings during the dreaded Covid!
We have always been treated with such warmth and kindness alongside the most stunning food. From the exceptional skills of the Chefs to the fabulousness of the Team, we will miss this hidden treasure so very much.
All I can stay is you have until the 15th July to give this a try for yourself, if you don't... you will have truly missed something so very special.
Thank You so much Hideout for your wonderful food and your special, special hospitality...we will miss you very much❤
