We had the most amazing afternoon tea served and made by our incredible host who runs the tea room and shop with his lovely wife.
It was delicious, excellent value and just so perfect. The room was decorated beautifully and we had such a lovely time.
I would travel miles back to this fantastic afternoon tea. Make sure to book ahead in order to have their freshly prepared treats!
Booked a table for a late Sunday lunch after a long walk up the hills.
The staff were really friendly, the home cooked food was delicious, and they’re dog friendly too.
The roast beef was served with a few extra touches (alongside the usual roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables) that made it a great dinner plate - sweet and unctuous red cabbage, homemade Yorkshire pudding that was both crispy on the top and soft and chewy on the bottom, a piece of roast swede that was both sweet and earthy, some roasted carrots with deep carrot flavour, all sitting on top of a plate dressing of sweet potato purée, topped with a thick, savoury gravy.
Managed to save some space for a sticky toffee pudding which was again really really good - soft, unctuous, gently spiced, loaded with gooey date flavour and texture.
Highly recommended :)
My 8 and 10 year old had a wonderful time here. The food was amazing and the service was great. I would definitely recommend this place as an affordable family friendly place to visit. We look forward to visiting again soon.
It is such a delight visiting this establishment for my Saturday morning treat to a large breakfast.
The volunteers are always welcoming and friendly, great to chat with, and the service is fantastic.
Had the afternoon tea for 2 as a cost of £25 Cannot fault the quality of the food - however was not expecting Micro Portions. When the food arrived I thought it was for one person and not two!!! Portions should be more generous for the price!!
I've come to visit several times, and the vibe is great. I love the cakes (bergamot and honey was gorgeous) and plan to come back more times. I only wish it had a larger selection of herbal teas, considering it's a botanical café.
Don’t bother going here we order a breakfast egg bap and egg and bacon took over 25 minutes asked how long and girl said it was on its way. My egg bap was inedible how you can cook eggs so bad is beyond me throw it in the bin.
Came here after reading the reviews. My amazing breakfast of waffles, fresh fruit, yoghurt, seeds and nuts was the perfect start to a day which was going to be spent on the beach. They also made us a home cooked ham bap and two thick slices of bara brith to take away with us for lunch. Great coffee too and nice people. Do visit!
3 of us Stopped here for lunch on a day trip to Llangollen. The sandwiches were fantastic. Particularly the BLT. Everything we had was was all very well made. Service was quick and staff were very polite. There’s a lot of places to choose to eat in Llangollen, but next time I visit I’ll be heading straight back here.
Visited this cafe in July due to trip advisor ratings. We were not disappointed. I opted for the full breakfast which was freshly cooked and very tasty. The young waitress’s were very polite and the whole dining experience was great
Very nice cooked breakfast, bacon sausages, spam, eggs, hash brown, beans. £4.50 bargain!! I'll be eating here again on Friday and for all my future cooked food. I would definitely recommend this restraunt.
What a fantastic little cafe this is!! Such a warm welcome, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, they were lovely. Felt very covid safe with sanitiser stations around, masks, visors and socially distanced tables. The breakfast was gorgeous and the coffee delicious. We will definitely go back. Thank you!!
Recently went to this lovely pub for Mothers Day as a table of 5, the starters and dinners were all INCREDIBLE 🤤 5 star taste and presentation. We have eaten out at many local pubs in Mold, Holywell, & other Flintshire areas and this place is always where we hands down always one of the most delicious meals. The creamy mushroom starter is my personal favourite starter, but over the past year my partner and I have eaten here a handful of times and tried a few different meals, each and everyone delicious.
Its a cute little village pub, that feels like you are getting high end food in a traditional place, I also love the they are dog friendly as we often walk our dog around the beautiful surrounding countryside and head here for a drink and some food.
The new owners that have been there for the past year or so are always so welcoming and make you feel at home in their pub.
Always a delight to visit. Definitely a must try in the Mold area.
Absolutamente deliciosa comida, sabía bien y fresco y algunas opciones de menú interesantes que no había encontrado antes. Personal muy amable también. Muy recomendable
