Guided by reviews of over 4 we went into this cafe around 3pm today. We had visited this area before and wanted to support a local business at these difficult times. Tables were socially distanced and there is a garden but the person behind the counter could not be more unwelcoming- in fact she was turning people away even for takeaways. Lights at front of cafe were turned off and sign turned to closed- even tho there was an hour to closing. Coffee was not that great either and no prices were displayed. I was told if I didn’t want whole milk which was all they had at that time- she would just ‘water’ it down. If this is the owner I cannot understand how they are still in business and if a member of staff they need sacking!

Vegetarian and vegan cafe, serving hot and cold food and exceptional cake. Really good value for money, and an outstanding number of options. ( Lots of gluten free options ).

Popped in on the off chance I could find something to eat (allergy to dairy, eggs and gluten)... I was not disappointed! A generous serving of pitta bread, hummus and salad followed by a chocolate caramel tart - all vegan and gluten free! Staff were so friendly and atmosphere was lovely.. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for cake and a coffee while on holiday near Llangollen. I'd seen the place the day before just wandering about town but didn't have time to stop in. Made a beeline for it the next day! Had a gorgeous lemon cake and latte, both vegan - the latte being made with oat milk. The shop is absolutely lovely, service is excellent. The ladies that run it are extremely friendly. It was also lovely to have a choice of vegan cakes! Super reasonable as a latte (with no extra charge for plant milk) and a cake came to less than a fiver. The garden area out back is lovely and homely! Will definitely be back to try the rest of their menu, maybe even tomorrow! Definitely recommended!

Under new ownership. One of the most genuine and friendly welcomes from both ladies. I think it was a vegetarian/vegan cafe. Great service, friendly but not overbearing. Support a local business as its well worth it. I would go back again and highly recommend.

Lovely place, really interesting and relaxing. Had Bara Brith, simply to die for. I needed the loo and i wasn't happy at first that it was outside as other places i had been to their toilets were not very clean and seemed very damp. No so with Oak Coffee. Toilet spotless and sweet smelling. A pleasure to use. As to it being romantic? It could be given the right couple.

A small little cafe with lovely little garden area. I'm vegan and I was with my little boy and my heart uncle who is very first with food. They both had cheese toasties and I had the smokey bean fajita. The food was so tasty and cake with nice salad and root veg crisps. There was lots of homemade cakes which where all vegan so we took some away. They were the best vegan cake I've had yet!!! Thank you super service and great food xx

We both had a delicious lunch recently on our first visit to Oak Street Coffee. It's a small, but very friendly cafe serving great vegetarian food (and very reasonably priced). The coffee was also excellent. There is also a beautiful garden area with a couple of tables. We look forward to visiting here again on our next visit to Llangollen.

Popped in today to escape horrendous weather after stumbling across it by accident. Had a fabulous lunch of hearty lentil stew (a steal at 4.95), a wonderful big pot of tea and some gorgeous hummingbird cake for dessert. Beautiful homely decor and super friendly staff. They are child friendly (making a special cheese sandwich for our toddler without crusts (I didn’t even have to ask) and there was even room for our buggy. We will definitely be returning to try out the other delicious vegan fayre soon!

A friend and I was visiting the area and had been suggested visiting here (as we are vegetarian). We were not disappointed at all! We had a really warm welcome and great service. The food here was excellent and if I am ever in the area I will definitely visit here again. The place also has a little plaque that says they are plastic free too which makes the place even greater! Thanks for the fab lunch.

We enjoyed a snack at this cosy little cafe tucked away behind the main street in Llangollen. We had a toasted mozzarella and tomato panini and gluten free bakewell slice. Generous helpings and 'homebaked cake". The cake was perfect - not too sweet. They kindly boxed up the leftovers for me to take home.

The cafe has quite limited space inside, but it does have a heated outdoor area which we didn't see. There was a very happy atmosphere on the day of our visit generated by the friendly, welcoming proprietors. It had an old-timey feel to it although the food was modern, fresh and home-cooked. The coffee can be particularly recommended as can the soups and cakes. Vegetarians and Vegans are well catered for here. A good place to relax and feel at ease, it's just a pity it isn't a little more spacious. However, give it a whirl if you're in town!

A super little find just off the High Street in Llangollen. The menu consists of various wraps and sandwiches, plus quiches and a couple of hot dishes. Plenty of veggie/vegan/GF options (including the cakes!) and everything is clearly labelled. All of the food that we had was very good, and excellent value. Friendly service and a pleasant ambience too.

I love this little place. The proprietors, Carolyn and Bob, provide an extensive menu for all tastes, including Vegetarian and Vegan, Gluten-Free and any other quirk you happen to have! Their food is always delicious, nutritious and served and made with LOVE, which is the most important thing. Carolyn's cakes are just to die for! It's like sitting in your Nan's front parlour, chatting with your friends. Nothing is too much trouble for this establishment. The outside is as delightful as the inside... love you guys xxx

This recent addition to dining in Llangollen is well worth a visit. The menu is small and is suited to both vegetarians and vegans but is extremely tasty and inexpensive. The drinks menu is fantastic value with generous drink sizing at a far lower price than the majority of its local competition. The couple that run it are extremely welcoming and friendly and the whole establishment is dog friendly (a massive plus in the welsh hills)

After a walk with friends and our dogs Ilka and Milly in tow we needed some a good hot cuppa a snack and sit down. Riverbanc is one of the friendliest and dog friendly places in town. The warmth of the cafe hits you as soon as you walk through the door and the lovely staff greet you with smiles and a big fuss for the dogs. Ali was straight onto warming ilkas doggy ice cream up for her, her regular treat after a walk. Today us adults had Welsh Rarebit, always delicious, the poached eggs as orange as the sun and so tasty, the club sandwich, always a favourite with Milly and me. Todays top choice was the homemade mince pies! Alison bakes these to perfection every Christmas, buttery and crumble in the mouth. Have a great Christmas guys and gals and keep serving the best coffee and snacks in town. :-)
