Best fish and chip shop in town! They make all of their food to order and it definitely shows! The chips were perfectly golden and crispy on the outside. Fish was beautifully flaky and not greasy. Highly recommend you check them out over the other places in town—you will not be disappointed!

Best chippy in the area! Seriously! The fish n' chips are great. Special mention for the homemade steak pie, the own recipe tartare sauce, the unique mushy peas and the very special homemade chicken curry sauce and chips. Delicious!

The chips here were amazing!! So nice and crispy and quickly devoured on a chilly Saturday afternoon watching the sea. Bit of a queue but honestly shows you how popular it is and it was worth the few minutes we had to wait. highly recommend and will be returning

Just used the takeaway part. The food was excellent and was served quickly. The person serving me was polite & efficient. Good range on the menu & is what you would expect from a chip shop. The pie I had was locally made & was very nice. Loved the gravy and the mushy peas. Chips were crisp & not soggy. Everything was nicely hot but not volcanic.

Lovely food. Lovely hosts and fabulous deserts. I had 2! Was a little chilly in the restaurant but that's because people were constantly in and out trying to get a table. Book in advance

This evening we went to the Sea Shanty to sample the new winter menu. what a truly bitter disappointment it was. I ordered liver bacon and onion gravy served with mash potato. It arrived drowned in gravy you couldn’t see anything except a brown liquid which was tasteless. My husband had the turkey dinner also swamped in a light coloured gravy also tasteless. All the food looked as if it had been cooked a couple of days ago and warmed up in the microwave and then flooded with soulless gravy. They did offer us something else which we declined. As regular customers who have visited regularly ever since it opened I can only think it was just a bad night or the so called chef was having an off day. Please sort it out as your food is normally tasty and good to eat.

I visited today and had cod and chips with curry sauce and a jumbo sausage with mushy peas. The quality of the food was excellent. Definitely one of the best I have had. The portion size was also excellent as was the service. A lovely location as well. I will definitely be returning.

I've been to Norbar a few times when visiting Barmouth and always had a fantastic experience. Lovely food, with great service, and an amazing view of the sea. I would highly recommend.

Booked for 2 nights at the Riverside. The bedrooms were recently refurbished and opened. The bedroom was excellent and bathroom likewise. We ordered what we wanted for breakfast on arrival and following morning was freshly cooked. Both mornings the cooked breakfast set us up for the day. Having been in North Yorkshire the previous week for 3 days the prices were comparable. Would we stay again. Yes, we certainly would.

We found the food, service, ambiance and cleanliness at La Marina to be excellent. It is in a nice location opposite the marina/dock at Y Felinheli. We recommend La Marina for somewhere with a 'touch of class' to enjoy a meal.
