Note: It's a cash only establishment. The nearest cash ATM is at the Shell Garage opposite the shop. I visited this place for the second time, and it's a great chippy with a decent menu, including some curries. The first time was only a few weeks ago when I went to the Chippy/Chinese Tynewydd Road and they were closing when I got in queue, so I visited here. I had Fish and Chips on both occasions. Delicious. I'll be getting all of my takeaways from here when I want a chippy tea.

Only chippy that actually sells Holland's pies(unlike other local chippys who claim they sell Holland's but don't) defo a must if your from Liverpool.. and proper curry! You know what I mean!! All cooked to order and delicious, greats service from the guys as always

Fantastic slow cooker curry's on the specials board best curry I've had from a take out, and the Brazed beef is awesome , great staff and you can put your order in and go next door for a pint. Fantastic, and very good fish,

Tony's is an okay chippy but for me at least not outstanding, firstly the fillet sizes were appeared pretty much on the small side, I'm more used to a 10-12oz fillet but mine looked around 7oz, batter was pale, soft and slightly floury and the chips....why put them in polystyrene containers? Overall, Tony's is a local port in a storm and no doubt has its fans, they're great guys, fish cooked fresh to order if you can make it there in time for the two hour slots that they're open (5pm-7pm except Sundays)

Got me Mam a bread crumbed Plaice. I didn't have to worry about her eating every last morsel. Just wish I'd got 2 instead.. Totally Delicious. Definitely be going there aga in.

Still open during lockdown in the evening, closing at 8pm. Only two allowed in the shop at a time, for social distancing, which is great, but I was the only customer in there at the time anyway and my fiance waited in the car.Lovely friendly staff. Ordered freshly battered large haddock with chips and mushy peas. Absolutely delicious, so fresh and clean tasting. The batter on the fish was lovely, not too thick and stodgy, just enough and crisp. Best fish and chips we have had for a long time! They do a variety of meals and homemade sauces too. It's obviously well looked run and we will be back!

Food is great he does a good choice of food as well as fish and chips liver and onions braised steak roast pork chicken casserole.

The hidden gem of Rhyl! Fantastic selection of food, all cooked to perfection, an extensive menu including the rarest find, white bait! Can’t fault the place. Lovely young lad helping serve behind the counter, and Tony is always helpful and attentive to customers needs. Favourite chippy by far!

Home made garlic mayo was garlicier than garlic.. amazing!

Haven’t been here since my last review and thought, you know what why not try it again, there wasn’t a long wait and the portions are really good sizes all this while you can have a conversation with Tony and have a bit of banter about the poor programmes currently on ITV during a Saturday night. The food was just as good as I remember need to visit here more often. Great job !!

First visit possibly the last fish was more batter than fish could have been a fish finger with batter, chips ok

Proper chippie. Chips double cooked, hence sweet and soft with crispy ends. Also the fish is top notch and the Homemade Tartar Sauce is amazing. If you want dry fluffy crispy chips, go buy a bag of McCains. This is what a chippie should be.

Fancied some chips for our tea for a change first time we tried here lovely warm welcome the food was so tasty i had homemade fish cakes, sausages and chips which are great wife had the burger and chips she thought hers was FAB we throughly enjoyed our tea we will definitely be going again and we highly recommend here great food! Good prices too!

If you like greasy chips then this is the place for you. Possibly the worst chips I have ever tasted. I felt like I needed a bath after half a bag.

No creo que puedas encontrar una mejor pedazo de pescado fresco en Rhyl, cocinado pasta fresca y decente con buenas patatas fritas. Si tuviera un comentario sugeriría el pescado puesto en colador antes de la fecha de envasado para mantener pasta fresca en camino a casa.

Went to get fish and chips as we were staying in Rhyl. It was like opening a bag of grease and the stale grease was revolting! Never again!

We had cod and chips last week.....very tasty and well cooked well worth a visit! The place was spotless and chairs provided if you had to wait till it was ready.

Coming home from Rhyl after 8pm I wanted a quick tea and popped in.Firstly I was surprised that this chippy was still open, most chippies around here close at 8pm so I was very happy that this one was still open. I noticed that they sold stewed steak with chips and mushy peas which I purchased for just over £5. I arrived home and promptly tucked into the meal and thoroughly enjoyed it.Needless to say I will be back.

I am originaly from west wales and have only lived in Rhyl for about 4 years now. But have never found anywhere that is reasonably priced, fantastic customer service and cooks fresh food to order. UNTIL NOW. Tonys is our local chippy and we go there regularly. Always get a warm welcome, great customer service and their fish is to die for. If ever you want great food great portions and resonably priced then give them a try. See you again soon guys. P.S. Keep your eyes to the sky

Me and the wife wanted a fresh fish and chip shop and so did the obvious and Googled one close by. It came up with Tonys and it had 7 excellent reviews and so we drove!The two gentlemen that run it are some of the finest on Wales, very polite, great customer service and able to engage in any conversation! Felt like a home away from home. One does not just simply buy fish and chips you buy into the family and become welcomed as a member. The food was wonderful! When some one takes as much trouble to select and cook only the best ingredients, the result can only be excellence. Bright and airy, Tony's Fish and Chip shop is not only the best in Rhyl but probably a candidate for the best in North Wales. About a Kilometre from the town centre, you will find Tony's across the road from the SHELL Vale Road petrol station, park in St.Margaret;s Drive or as near as you can. Tony has many years experience in the restaurant trade, formerly being a partner in a successful but sadly missed venue in the east end of Rhyl. Quality, Freshness and Friendly service are the features of this 5 star business. Highly recommended.

This is quite simply the best fish and chip shop in the area. Unlike most fish and chip shops in the locality that incorporate Chinese takeaway and pizzas on the menu resulting in fish and chips being a secondary consideration, Tony's main focus is on good old fashioned fish and chips (although they do pies and burgers etc too). The portions are very generous, particularly the size of the fish, the batter is always lovely and crispy and the chips are fried to perfection. With very reasonable prices, friendly staff and always a fast service, this is the place to go to for fish and chips in Rhyl.

Make an extra special effort to go here, the fish and chips are great , the 2 men that run it are lovely and always have a good chat when you go in. The food is freshly cooked , fish is pure white, the chips are lovely and they make SCALLOPS if you've never had a Northern Scallop do so now, it's a slice of potato battered and cooked and so yummy

This is my local and I am always welcomed with a smile. Nothing is too much trouble for Tony. Everything is freshly cooked to order and the portions are a good size. Other dishes are offered as well, so there should be something for everyone
