The Knighton hotel is directly in Knighton town. The rooms are great, nice and clean. The staff are very welcoming. Although the one bog upside is the shared kitchen, it has all the essential tools.

Ordered takeaway for 7 people over the Christmas break, various lamb and chicken dishes, all really good and everyone happy. Would recommend and will visit again.
The lady behind the counter was welcoming and friendly. Had a real nice pizza from there whilst out on Saturday night. And it wasn’t just nice because I was drunk. My mate took his home and warmed it up the day after and said it was just as nice as it was the night before! 🤣🤣
Disappointed.
Couldn't go inside because we had a dog.
Only non-dairy milk available was oat and cold - so no hot chocolate or lattes or cappuccinos. I asked if it could be heated up but apparently it couldn't.
It was a very cold day and we had to sit outside because we had the dog with us.
After having read the reviews for this cafe I had great hopes but I was sadly let down.
Good quality drinks and good service. More options for wine would be beneficial for future visits. Decor such as tables were a bit worn. The quality and value with regards to food was very good.
.Bought 2 pasties just before closing time. Had one warmed up in the Microwave and it remained nice and crispy. The meat and vegetable filling were delicious. We shared an incredible apple and raspberry turnover. Would definitely return if in the area again
Excellent lunch and amazing little zoo. The inn is lovely with nice art on walls . We brought our grandson who loved seeing the little zoo. Such a nice experience.
Food was really very good and great chidrens menu
Another excellent Sunday lunch, having been several times before it has never disappointed. Staff are professional and polite nothing is too much trouble

Alright McDonald's, table service was quick, but the mcchicken sandwich wasn't as fresh as I like. However my partner double quarter pounder was decent
I can hardly find the words to describe how special this place is., and I am VERY fussy. Everything - tea, coffee, scones were superb. The lovely owner runs the cafe and post office single-handedly, but still found time to chat and gave us lots of tips about local places of interest. She bakes the cakes and scones herself each day, and it shows - everything tasted wonderful and fresh.
She offered us newspapers, and came back to ask if we had enough jam and cream ( we did)….all the while serving post office customers too. A post office in such a small village is probably pretty vulnerable to closure, so she is a real hero, working so hard to keep it viable and open for the local community.
The cafe is tiny, only 3 tables. A local couple there when we arrived were very friendly too, so we had a lovely time in Montgomery. Do not miss out on this place if you are within reach of it, Ivy House is unique and absolutely amazing.
Just returned from a short stay at Hay on Wye and visited this cafe every day! Really friendly staff, fantastic coffee and we also treated ourselves to a slice of carrot cake on our last day which was divine!
We looked at the menu and there were lots of lovely things that we could have had if we were staying for breakfast or lunch. A good excuse to go back!
Came here twice in one week while staying around the corner.
Very friendly welcome, everyone was lovely!
Food was really nice, had something different on both visits and was very happy with the food every time
My husband said it was the best mixed grill he had ever had
Will definitely return again when visiting the area
