Went with a family of 8 of us and had the best Sunday lunch cooked, you feel like you’re in your nans house and that’s a compliment, homely and exceptional food . Flexible with the choice and we could have one meat or a bit of all three. I had the beef and chicken and it was amazing, especially the beef. Lots of nice veggies and the cheeses leaks were amazing. Dog friendly and a nice atmosphere, everyone loved it. PS desserts were amazing too, I had a pear and apple crumble which again just oozed homemade with love. Will go back!

Absolutely fabulous Sunday Roast. Highly recommend, great friendly service, comfortable surroundings and ate far too much!! Just a slight blip one member of staff obviously poorly, wearing a mask would have been useful to protect customers from lurgy (even though not Covid). Hope get better soon though.

Have returned to this small village in Wales for several years now and continue to be amazed that when it comes to Fish-n-Chips, this business is the best we've encountered from Dover to Scotland and it's comparatively inexpensive. I'm writing this review, but these sentiments are echoed by my wife, children, grandchildren and cousin who have encouraged to write this review. While the fish is perfectly done, there isn't a hint of the greasiness often experienced. It's a winner!

called in to grab something to take home for lunch. Evans is ‘famous ‘ for its Chelsea buns so grabbed one and a savoury roll.Service prompt but no hint of a smile ,don’t know if the lady serving was having a bad life(always had this style of service from her for a number of years) Really off putting-failed charm school obviously then to add the icing on top of this bitter cake the Chelsea bun dry and stale whilst the chicken roll full of cranberry sauce and very very little meat.My advice shop elsewhere-better service, better quality and can use cards as Evans only take cash under £5 sales(not convenient at times)

Very disappointed having loved this cafe on our last visit and was looking forward to going back. The service was just not the same, they weren’t serving any of the cooked food they did last time and so with no choice we had tea and cake. The cake was stale, the milk was off, The lady made a fresh pot but forgot to give us cups so the tea was like tar by the time we managed to get cups but milk was still off. We upped and left and won’t be going back.

Visited here a few times now and had to share my thoughts! Amazing food, fantastic atmosphere and extremely friendly service. Georgie and her team couldn't do enough for us. Best cafe in brecon, priced very reasonable and always leave full and extremely satisfied. The coffee is absolutely delicious too! Thankyou 👍 xx

We ate both breakfast and dinner during our second stay at this hotel. Dinner is served in the Dining Room. There was a good varied menu that enabled us to easily select options for our two nights. We are unaware how frequently the menu changes, but a third night may not have been quite so easy. The food quality and service was excellent. Breakfast in the conservatory provides a very wide choice and is a mixture of buffet style and table service. Again the food and service is excellent.is

I had to laugh when I read some of the reviews complaining about everything here being vegetarian/vegan and gluten free - that makes a change! Normally those who need such diets have at most two choices and more often than not the gluten free choice is a cake - i.e. not a choice at all. Well not here and thank goodness for it. Everything is suitable for everyone - yes, everyone can eat vegan and veggie food. For me this is more inclusive and by definition better for everyone. Now my rant is over on to the food itself. Tasty, wholesome, excellent value and organic - what could be better than that - for both our bodies and the planet. Service too is good with plenty of smiles and the price is not bad either. As for the location well, you're here to learn about the planet and the impact we have on it and how we can help, and eating food like this is part of that. Say no more.

Such lovely, friendly, kind and helpful people. Nothing is too much trouble and they will do their very best to give you an excellent experience. Whether this is serving you in their shop or feeding you in their café, it's all done really well. The cooked breakfasts are excellent and the chicken jalfrezi is the best I've ever had. Lovely lovely people and amazing food. I will definitely be returning. Again and again!

Highly recommend this gem of a pub for Sunday lunch. Our Family of four arrived at the The Farmers Arms after a long journey back from North Wales. The meals were absolutely amazing! Both Adult and Children’s sized portions area available. Beef, Pork or Lamb or a nut roast were on the menu. Prices were clearly shown for one, two or three courses. We decided on beef and pork the meals were fantastic, served piping hot, the meat melted in your mouth, potatoes were tasty as was the gravy (extra gravy was served in a boat) vegetables broccoli, peas, carrots and cauliflower cheese were brought in serving dishes to help yourself all piping hot and cooked to perfection. The staff serving were very friendly and the toilets clean - cannot recommend a stop to eat at this pub enough - would give more stars if available!
