Ok so beer prices are good, we went here as reviews for food were good…….thats where it ends my husband is a plain man, plain cheeseburger chips, however the cheese burger that arrived was cheese sauce on it rather than cheese slice and he said it was the worst burger he tasted. I wasn’t hungry so I order just a garlic bread, you would think you can’t go wrong with that……think again what I got was 2 slices of baguette with cold garlic purée spread on it. I took a small bit of it and no more. In all our years of travelling this was the worst food we have ever had!!!!!

Wonderful welcome by wonderful staff at The Templebar. Food was fantastic and lovely service. Lovely evening spent with access to Pool table and great Live singer Well worth a visit, and a fun evening had by all Diolch yn fawr

Myself along with a large group of work colleagues visited the Temple bar last night. This was a late booking for food, so we really appreciated being accommodated. The staff were great and very welcoming. The food was great too and very reasonably priced. Good atmosphere although we may have been a bit audible at times (apologies). We will definitely visit Temple bar again next time👍👍

We came here late on Easter Sunday looking for a quick bite to eat . Never going to happen in a small Welsh town we thought . There was a gentleman stood outside and when we asked about food rather than brush us off as we expected could not have been more welcoming and warm . Twenty minutes he said and I’ll get you a menu get your order in and we will get to it for you , despite just finishing a Sunday carvery . The staff were all so pleasant, professionally dressed with aprons and all had great personality rather than robotic servers. The place had a great vibe and really lifted our spirits . We found a little gem . The gentleman kept checking we were ok and his customers service skills were just second to none . If you ever get chance visit , you won’t be sorry .

A very nice cappuccino with delicious mini cantuccio almond biscuit. The place looked very clean. I would return for a coffee in the future.

We were here for a group function so had booked out the back room. The menu they'd provided had good choices and all three courses were very good - no problem asking for extra gravy either. The staff are helpful and friendly, plus the drinks and food are well priced, so are great value.

Popped in here on a fly by visit on route elsewhere. We were pleasantly surprised not only with the manner of the friendly and professional bar man on duty at the time but also the value on offer. We had two beers each accompanied by two burgers which in total cost under £20. The food was of reasonable quality for the price and was presented well with quick service also a bonus. Good value, only a fleeting visit but exceeded expectations.

Stumbled upon this establishment as it’s was teeming the rain so we took cover We were warmly met by the staff and had a few drinks while watching the rugby with the locals who were all very friendly We didn’t eat here as we had planned at another restaurant The food we saw arriving looked good and I’ll give a special mention to the cakes and patisserie that was available they all looked amazing Why not give it a try we did ☔️☔️

This bar is a long room with outdoor seating, then more indoor seating. There is a good selection of beer , wine and cocktails at reasonable prices. The floor is concrete which increases the volume of the music . When we were there they were playing classic hits which naturally encouraged customer participation adding to the atmosphere.Service is friendly and efficient. An enjoyable pub.

Great atmosphere and dinning, Johnny the owner couldn’t do enough, lovely meals had by all and lovely mini Guinness.

Popped in for a couple of drinks on our way through the town. When we arrived it was very busy but we were served really quickly. Great selection of drinks on offer - I enjoyed a Kraken and my friend enjoyed a HPA which she said was great. The gent who served us was really friendly and made sure we were comfortable and knew where everything was. We were also given directions to an ATM by another member of staff on our way out which we really appreciated as our phones weren’t working properly! We’ve agreed that we’d pop in again if we’re ever in the area, as the meals served to other patrons looked and smelled delicious and the atmosphere was fab!

12 of us visited on a whim while travelling through and they were very accommodating. Bar maid made us feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The dog was welcomed and given treats and water. Food requests catered too. The Irishman (possibly owner) was extremely helpful and attentive. Whole experience was great. Food was lovely too. Great spot for food and drinks. Excellent barmaid who recommended a mango and lime gin - delicious 😋 Great craic with her, and we didn't even ask her name!! The Temple Bar was our go-to place.

We ordered a meal for 1 of our grandchildren and sandwiches for us they had black hair on them sent them back to replace but they also had hair in the sandwiches so grossed out won’t be going there again staff said we all make mistakes. But twice in minutes omg outrageous

Really happy we came across this place. Service was perfect and the food was great. Good place for a bite to eat as a family and perfect for us with veggie & vegan options available too. Would definitely recommend; relaxed and friendly bar.

Visited Sunday 24th July when Bob and Elli were playing. We got a really warm welcome and the service and surroundings were excellent. Lots of choice of drinks and so friendly we didn't want to leave!

Temple Bar was absolutely lovely. A good selection of drinks, really tasty bar food, and super friendly staff. Really enjoyed our afternoon pint there! They also had a good system for social distancing and were very safe.

Popped in for a pint but also had a beef madras. Came with rice and full sized naan and it was superb. Normally bars/pubs serving madras chicken out on the hotness scale but this was spot on. Covid sorted too. Nice place.

Great staff and nice atmosphere even with the Covid restrictions. Food is standard fare reasonable price and very tasty. Even got chatting to locals which made the evening and even Phil the owner joined in! All in all an excellent evening!

Myself and my partner called here at the last minute for an evening meal.We had to wait half an hour for a table due to covid restrictions in place but that wasn't a problem.They took a name and contact number to comply with regulations.My partner ordered a burger while had pizza, both dishes were lovely and well presented.The staff were lovely and very helpful would definitely recommend.

Went on a wet and windy night for a meal and we were greeted and a seat found for us. A good variety of food on the menu and not too long a wait before we could eat. Friendly and helpful staff.

We visited this bar on our 2 night stay in the town. We just had drinks on our first night but was very impressed by the ambiance, that we returned the following night for a meal. Sadly there was a problem with the steak but the friendly staff were excellent! A complete replacement steak meal was cooked, without quibble and the staff apologised profusely. They did inspect the steak and agreed that it was well below the standard of steak they usually serve. The replacement was very good and cooked to taste. The other meal of battered fish and chips was also very tasty. We enjoyed our two evenings at the Temple Bar and would thoroughly recommend this friendly, comfortable, reasonably priced bar to anyone visiting the town.

Went for an evening with friends to have meal. Friendly staff, good choice of beers in good clean surrounding. The food was good, the tapas were great starters mains were very tasty, we didn't have room for dessert. Had a great evening.

I was travelling alone and went for dinner there. The staff couldn't have been friendlier and I felt totally comfortable. I had a delicious scampi and chips and a bottle of rose wine,all very reasonably priced. It's got a lovely calm relaxing atmosphere with great Latino music playing in the background (and not too loud either!). Highly recommended. It was like being in a small Spanish bar.

Nice pleasant atmosphere, very busy night but staff advised of the wait. Great customer service. I had food here before which was excellent. What was nice they took the orders based on when you arrived. Well worth a visit when in the area.

On a random Tuesday night business trip and wanted a bar for a pint. Perfect welcome, great Guinness. Would definitely recommend.

On a wet Monday evening, I was expecting dull beer in a dim room with sticky tables, then came the surprise. It is bright, warm, comfortable and spotless. A modern take on a bar. The landlord was welcoming and friendly, the beers varied and very good, and for those who like gin - where do you start? The menu was extensive and the food was very good. Imagine Beefeater or Table Table - perfectly OK - then multiply it by 3 or 4 in terms of quality - but certainly not in terms of price. If you find yourself within 30 miles of Llandrindod Wells - this is the place to be.

Had an amazing pizza and great spicy patatas bravas ( need to add mayo as they are spicy ! ) . good beer selection, very friendly staff & great atmosphere, and spanish music in the background. Well worth a visit 👍

Called in late with a large group but we were made to feel very welcome and had some great meals from burgers to currys and tapas. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a meal out in Llandrindod.

Amazing twist on a traditional Turkey Dinner. We both choose which tapas we wanted and when it came out it was brilliant. It was great fun, everything was cooked lovely. Best thing is you can attack your partners bowl for a trial of what they have ordered. The lightness of it all means you enjoy your meal and dessert and can carry on drinking with friends or family and not feel full up with the need to lie down!. I hope this tapas xmas twist takes off as it was delicious.

This place is a reason to want to live in Llandrindod Wells! I visit here fairly regularly for work, and me and my colleague were here at the end of November. We liked it so much we came on night 2 also! I had the Macaroni Cheese with salad on the first night and it was delicious. Pizza on night 2 was also yummy. But even better was the gingerbread cheesecake - wow! This would be my local if I lived here, definitely. Lovely atmosphere, loved the staff. Can't fault it!

Think staff are very rude all because I turned up in tracksuit bottom and Heidi I was refused to be saved if you have a dress code ppl should be aware of it will not be going hear again

Visited Temple Bar on a Friday evening. The main bar was quite busy but we found a nice table for two by the window. Good range of drinks and pleased to find Peroni on tap. Very tempting menu - I opted for the steak and ale pie which came with perfectly cooked vegetables, creamy mash and a jug of divine gravy. OH had the salmon which he enjoyed. Couldn't resist the offer of a dessert when the special was a freshly made chocolate & chilli cheesecake. Heaven on a plate! Service was just right too - very friendly and attentive. This place is a gem - the decor is so beautiful and even the toilets were spotless and stylish. Next time we're in the area we will definitely be popping in :)

A gem of a bar and a great Pizza. Having travelled the world and grab many of a pizza this has to be rated as one of the best. Fresh base, fresh ingredients and piping hot. Highly recommended

Called in for a quick pint as just moved in to the area. Good selection of beers wines largers and spirits. Lovely relaxed atmoshpere. Owner phil and staff friendly and helpful. Good banter with their locals. Food coming out looked lovely and we will be going back to taste their tapas and curry specials in due course.

Was an ok visit but noisy as on main road so it’s expected not child friendly as I got very dirt looks from the guy working when my son was playing

the Temple bar was very well decorated, clean and friendly. The food was good and they were able to provide a tasty alternative which covered all my dietary requirements, which is rather complex at the best of times. Well done and would certainly return.

I’ve visited the Temple bar on several times over the years since it opened. Arrived about 7.00pm. For a glass of wine. Quiet when we arrived but started to fill. Soggy nuts frustrating when expensive and served in a very small portion. Maybe 3 full large Kilmer Jars tells the story !The traditional pub grub menu and certainly the Tapas menu with meat, fish and veggie was very tempting - and fairly priced - fingers crossed for a better portion than the nuts !Good luck to Temple Bar, a good location that needs exploiting ps. Very modern clean toilets !

This was our first time to visit The Temple Bar at Llandrindod Wells. We immediately felt at home in the relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The bar was very tastefully decorated, the food and range of drinks were excellent and reasonably priced. The most important ingredient was the staff, who were very welcoming, friendly and professional. Many thanks to Phil the owner and Jerome, for looking after us during a very memorable lunch on our 32nd wedding anniversary. We will visit again.

I ate here with my son on a Monday evening. For a Monday it was fairly busy, with most tables and chairs taken all the time we were there. My son had pizza and I had a Chicken and Chorizo pie. The pizza was far too hot to eat for the first 5-10 minutes, but was ok after it had cooled down. The pie came with cauli, broccoli, carrots and chips. I would have preferred the pie with a bit more chicken and chorizo in the filling, but that's just my preference.The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We went for Friday dinner as we were staying in the town. The staff were so welcoming in a town we did not know. The place is very attractive and nicely decorated and furnished. The menu was too extensive and clearly everything is homemade and fresh. I had a tasty rump steak which including chips and garnish at £14.95 was a bargain. A chicken and chorizo pie was amazing with beautiful pastry and a great selection of vegetables.Wine was very good value and the desserts were fantastic. All in all a great meal experience and amazing value for money. Do go and support them, they deserve to do well.

my first visit, the staff were welcoming and friendly the layout was good very neat and clean and has obviously been recently refurbished. I was there for a Sunday lunch. There were very few customers and for a while only two besides me in the dining room. The meal when it arrived looked excellent but it wasn't hot which spoiled it for me. the dining room wasn't very warm either which added to my disappointment. I will go there again though it might have been just a bad day for me. Douglas.

Wir haben in der Temple Bar nichts gegessen, da das gewünschte Curry-Gericht abends um 19.00 Uhr nicht mehr vorrätig war. Wir haben nur Getränke zu uns genommen und uns sehr lange und nett mit den Mitarbeitern bzw. dem Inhaber der Bar unterhalten. Würden dort jederzeit wieder einkehren.

Sunday so what better than Sunday lunch and very nice it was too ....the lamb was a bit tough for me but hubby ate it all ..mine too ...pudding i had sticky toffee pudding with cream and we shared it ..that was lovely too ...and very nice surroundings ..only another two couples in when we were there

Lovely welcome, good coffee and good atmosphere. It was one of the few places open at 4 pm on a Saturday afternoon. Excellent facilities.

We hadn't booked and stopped on route (7 adults).Manager was brilliant and very accommodating - put a table together for us and made us feel very welcome.Atmosphere was really nice. Food was basic (lasagne / burger etc) but all homemade with local produce - absolutely delicious. Service was great.Would definitely go again and thoroughly recommend.

We were staying further north but found no other eatery open at five after skipping lunch. When we arrived there was a noisy birthday group in the entry section but one of the good things is it is in several rooms so noise disperses. The chips are particularly good and you can chose garden or mushy peas.t

Arrived one evening, not really wanting a large meal, so had a starter and dessert. Made to feel very welcome and shown to a pleasant little nook in the dining area. Soup of the day - very generous portions plus blackberry and apple crumble and a salted caramel and chocolate bombe. All delicious with excellent service. Would definitely return for a full meal.

This is a nice modern bar, with a further restaurant area to the rear. I think it is still quite new and hasn't had a chance to build up much atmosphere yet. We have had lunch and dinner there. Our friends said the steak was nicely done and tasty. I didn't enjoy their version of curry though. Fish and chips was 'ok' rather thin fillets of fish, not nice chunky pieces and didn't have much flavour. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Staying in the area so decided to have a meal here. The man on the bar was very pleasant and showed us to our table. The young man who we had seen smoking outside the establishment waited on our table. He didn't seem like he enjoyed his job very much. The food was very tasty and we didn't have to wait long. Good value for money.

Called in here this evening; nice furniture and very clean but I have to be honest it lacks atmosphere (like most places in Llandod). No conversation from the bar staff and no gentle music in the background. For a Saturday evening it was hardly buzzing so I don't know if we will be going back.

Visited whilst staying in a near by hotel. Clean and well presented bar. Welcoming staff at the bar and great atmosphere. we would definitely return.

Lunchtime visit. A few customers already in so assumed wouldn't be much of a wait but we were wrong. The menu was basic pub grub, which when it eventually arrived was very average and portion size was very small. Staff did bare minimum
