Whilst I usually promote Deli-Licious as a good place to go if you have a Gluten Free (GF) diet, I was recently disappointed by their GF afternoon tea. I was pleased to hear they offered a GF afternoon tea but was left feeling let down by the poor selection and presentation. The normal afternoon tea was presented on either a picnic bench or a three tiered serving stand, mine was just put on a plate with no effort to make it look like everyone else’s in the group, making me feel like an outcast. At a cost of £16.95, it certainly wasn’t value for money.

First Visit - nice clean café offering light bites on the menu and a selection of main meals on the specials board. We chose the corned beef pie which had a choice of accompaniments: vegetables and gravy (served in a separate gravy boat and lots of it) or a dressed salad. Pie was served warm and very tasty. Coffee was very good too. Outdoor seating is available in good weather. I noticed that they do special hot chocolate with marshmallows and cream which would be a nice choice in colder weather. Would go again.

I've had the pleasure of serving Janine and her family on a number of occasions in the place where I work at The Pen Y Cae Inn. I've always found them such lovely and very polite people. In the last few months I've been coming here for lunch and I've always found both the food and service there very friendly, polite and very helpful you're made really welcome at Delicious. Today I had one of their specials which was Lasagne I must say it was the best lasagne I've ever had work some lovely coleslaw on the side and a nice warm cup of Mocha on a very wet Spring day. Janine and all her team of kitchen staff and floor staff have looked after me like Royalty very attentive, always willing to help and gives you some fantastic recommendations on their meals. I'll certainly be returning back to this cafeteria lovely surroundings and the food and drink here is not to disappoint. Well done to Janine and everyone at Delicious for doing such a fantastic job keep up with the very good work I'll see you very soon.

We have been to this cafe on numerous occasions and enjoyed the experience however today the visit was soured by the some what poor service by a staff member who lacked knowledge regarding the side accompaniments available and overall customer service. It is a great shame.

Recently used deli-licious for a funeral buffet. Needed the food collecting early in the morning but this was no trouble for them. The food was fresh and well presented. They also accommodated a few other requests. Would recommend.

Fantastic local Deli Cafe I had bookmarked this prior to our visit to the area... Not disappointed, great breakfast/brunch food, eggs benedict, royale, vegan options and more healthy options. The wife and I ate here 3 times... that good! Toasted bagel, cream cheese and smoked salmon is 10/10.... very generous with the salmon and everything priced really low... unbelievable value for money... No dogs allowed, but have tables outside for a good day and kindly bought a dog bowl of water for our dog.

Really nice cosy cafe that served lovely food, exceptionaly nice coffee and alarmingly large portions of cake... Staff enthusiastic and friendly as they whirled around the counter, food preparation and customer areas....People seemed to drift in and out in a never ending stream and were dealt with so effectively that a queue didn't seem to have time to build up... Food was freshly cooked a appeared so quickly with steaming and fragrant coffee that I looked around for someone wearing long robes and a wizard's pointed hat....! A real gem not to be missed, proof being the number of locals who use this regularly....?

Really don't want to give a negative review as I know it is a little local cafe trying to do its best so hopefully it will be taken as constructive criticism. Visited for lunch last week as we thought we would give it another try as we hadn't been in here for a couple of years. We decided on the lasagne with salad and tuna pasta salad. We were told they had run out of tuna pasta salad but could 'mix some tuna with some thousand island dressing', we passed on that and ordered the tuna and cheese panini instead with a pot of tea and a flat white coffee. The drinks were brought to us and the coffee was tiny for £2.25 but the tea was good quality welsh brew tea. The food arrived and my lasagne was ok. It was a bit burnt and dried up but thankfully that is how I like mine cooked. It was homemade but had obviously been sitting about for a while and anyone not liking a burnt top lasagne would have been disappointed. The salad was good and varied. The tuna and cheese panini was very dry. The two meals and two drinks came to £16.40 which was a fair bit more than we are used to paying locally for very similar food of better quality. It's ok but sadly we won't be rushing back.

My wife booked a buffet for her fathers 90th birthday party at a nearby venue (90 guests). The food and service was absolutely the best, and so fresh. I can't recommend Deli-Licious to highly, if anyone is looking for caterers to provide a buffet.... look no further than Deli-Licious, trust me, I don't give out compliments that easily, but on this occasion the compliments are so very much deserved. Thank you all at Deli-Licious so very much for making it such a wonderful Birthday party (special thanks to Janine for serving the tea/Coffee).

My partner and I were passing through Ystradgynlais and decided to stop for a bite to eat. I had previously heard about the eatery but this was my first visit. I ordered the soup of the day which was a choice between spicy parsnip and sweet potato and carrot soup. I went for the sweet potato. When it was served I could tell right away that it was home made. It was a hearty thick soup and the flavour was incredible! It was served with 2 large slices of bread and it was the perfect amount for a light lunch. My partner ordered a chicken tikka sandwich on brown bread with mint yogurt which was served with a side salad and coleslaw. It was made to order and it didn’t disappoint. There was plenty of filling in the sandwich and he also declared that it was delicious. We both ordered a flat while coffee and the total amounted to £14.60. The shop is fairly small with about 10 - 11 tables but the ambience is lovely and I can’t recommend the food enough. I wish I’d taken a photo of the food but it was so delicious that I forgot.

Passing through Ystradgynlais on way to Swansea from Mid Walles and decided to stop here for cuppa. Very friendly staff and buzzing atmosphere. Only had a cuppa and Welsh cake but pleased to see that they cater for wide range diets including Vegan and Gluten Free. Keep up the good work as not all cafes think of catering for people with special diets, especially Gluten Free. Oh, and it was very clean!!

Wow! I had my usual Turkey, stuffing and cranberry sauce sandwich. The fresh cranberry sauce complimented the succulent Turkey, the stuffing added well to the flavours. The sandwich came with the homemade coleslaw which was rich and creamy. Will definitely order again.

Visited on Saturday morning with mum and dad. Dad uses a large electric wheelchair which can be difficult to get in and out of shops/cafes. The staff at Deli-Licious were so helpful and made us all feel so welcome. The snacks and coffees were lovely too (had breakfast food envy - will be treating myself to one of the breakfasts soon.)

What a find in the lovely village of Ystradgynlais. The place was full and understandably so.The food was simple, freshly locally resourced, reasonably priced and plenty of it.The size of the jacket potatoes on the table next to us summed this up.The customers were still eating when we left totally "fed and watered".The menu choice should suit everyone. The deluxe high tea for example would put to shame The Ritz or any posh London hotel experience. The tiered cake plates were crammed with mouth watering goodies and needless to say a quarter of city prices if not more.Staff are also very friendly and accommodating. One told us she loved working there and pointed to the owner and chef saying she was an "amazing cook".That is true. With happy staff,an imaginative owner, cozy decour and a venue at the foot of the Brecon Becons you can't go wrong with this place.Try it.You will not be dis appointed.

Opened a few months ago, after being tastefully refurbished to a high standard.(formerly the Den.) Staff are very welcoming and efficient. There is a good choice of food from delightful and tasty breakfasts to sandwiches, jacket potatoes, paninis, home made soups, and pasta. Also good choice for veggies and for children all at reasonable prices..all meals beautifully presented too. Don't come if you want fish and chips! All are home cooked using local Welsh produce when possible. Also a selection of "high teas" if that is what you're looking for.
