We had an impromptu lunch here after taking the children swimming. The sandwiches were lovely, the staff were attentive and the children loved the milkshakes and apple juice. It's a little hidden out of the way but there is a little playground for the little ones. We had a great visit.

The cafe takes up part of the ground floor house of a large Victorian house. Its in the centre of Machynlleth, but rather hidden behind a wall and trees. There is indoor and lots of outdoor seating. It is a very pleasant spot for a light lunch or coffee, and works rather better for outdoor eating than the busy high street in Mach. The outdoor seating is out of the wind and away from traffic, but not protected from rain. They are not open every day - are open Wednesday (market day) Fridays and at the weekends. You might be lucky and also catch a live music performace, there is lots of space on the large lawns for performances. Like a lot of cafes in parks in stuggles with the very variable demand, on a sunny day when the market is on they can be extra busy, on a grey Friday not so much - its just a feature of cafes in parks. The menu a cafe menu - sandwiches, cakes and a few hot options - vegatrian quiche, vegan sausage roll. The cakes were tasty and freshly made - lovely lemon drizzle. Staff friendly and helpful. Its in a very nice setting with lovely gardens around. On the ground floor on the other side of the building are artists workshops which are sometimes open.

We had a pleasant lunch here recently, the food is good quality but the coffee is rather ordinary. The outside seating is pleasant on a dry day and the service could be a bit quicker.

On Wednesday market days we used to reserve A table it was that busy! Today was like a ghost town. The panini was small, the burger only average and the jacket potato was not cooked all the way through. Not good under new ownership, and the menu smaller than it was. Go elsewhere for a good lunch.

Local restaurant for local people, good value. Great tea and cake. Located near the Pump track, children’s play area and sports centre.

Called in late last week with my wife and a friend. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Quite a broad menu. We decided on breakfast which was plenty enough for us. The bacon, sausages and eggs were all local produce. My friend had a cheese and ham toastie with some chips. too much for him as he just couldn't eat it all. Too much food! There are plenty of healthy options and vegetarian food too. This was a very positive experience for us all and the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely eat there again!

First visit back to Caffi Y Plas aware that under new management so had high expectations. We first went in and had just coffee as too early for lunch. Disappointed that there where no artificial sweeteners available but when queried we where told that they would be available later in the week. Caffi itself seems to have had a modest facelift and cleaner than previously. After a walk around town we decided to have brunch as a review of the menu started with Welsh Breakfast including local pork sausage. The sausage was the most disappointing part of the breakfast, well, well, overdone and did not give the impression of having been freshly cooked to order, and all served on cold plates. On a positive note the rest of the breakfast was very good and I especially like the toast served with individual pots of marmalade and lashings of butter. Friendly staff and in a lovely building set in the park. Will see you next time we are in Machynlleth.

A lovely bright and fresh cafe with polite and helpful staff. My husband and I both ordered toasted sandwiches which were served with some of the most delicious chips we have ever tasted. It was even worth paying the £2 parking charge just to eat here. Thank you ladies.

Passing through on a biking challenge over the weekend we found this cosy authentic welsh pub. The staff were incredibly welcoming, the beer selection was perfect and they couldn’t do more for us! Would definitely return if in the area again!

Found this cafe on line, glad we did, the guys were so welcoming, even the dog was welcomed in. We both had the big cooked breakfast, wow, it’s not very often I actually enjoy a cooked breakfast but this was amazing, really good quality ingredients cooked perfectly. We’d happily go back.

Whilst I usually promote Deli-Licious as a good place to go if you have a Gluten Free (GF) diet, I was recently disappointed by their GF afternoon tea. I was pleased to hear they offered a GF afternoon tea but was left feeling let down by the poor selection and presentation. The normal afternoon tea was presented on either a picnic bench or a three tiered serving stand, mine was just put on a plate with no effort to make it look like everyone else’s in the group, making me feel like an outcast. At a cost of £16.95, it certainly wasn’t value for money.

Stopped by here for a bite to eat and a coffee during a circular walk to the north of Llanidloes. What a lovely little find. We had jacket potatoes, chocolate cake and mince pies alongside a coffee. Delicious food and the cake is exceptional.
