Always have great food when I visit, homemade cakes are delicious, the prices are very reasonable too. I am a support worker and I take the ladies I support here for lunch, and they are always very accommodating. Always a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere too.

Lovely cafe bar in the heart of town. Great service, Pot of tea and latte. Tables on the pavement and lots inside. Wcs down a few steps.

Only stopped for drinks, we had dogs with us and were all welcomed. Really friendly and lovely drinks

Nice, friendly, no-frills local cafe in a quiet location round the corner from the station and the high street. Plenty of outdoor seating in the "arcade" area; dogs welcome along the window seats inside. No expensive artisanal sourdough sarnies here -- tasty fry-ups on (white or granary) sliced toast and decent coffees, at non-inflated prices.

Friendly little community cafe with good coffee and cakes, pleasant staff, quiet atmosphere, everything looks nice and clean and well-presented. A bit tucked away off the main street, but well worth finding. ... And ... after another recent visit, the coffee was absolutely *brilliant*. It's probably a bit unfair to say that the immediate appearance of the Herb Garden doesn't shout "coffee so good, hot and strong that it could almost revive the dead" - but it was absolutely 5-star.

We had lunch here. I had poached eggs on toast which were ok but one was a bit too runny. My husband had the rarebit which he found disappointing.

Had lunch at Herb garden Wednesday, toasties very nice. Breakfast the following day; excellent quality food.

I've been to this cafe before and been very happy so today, as a post election treat to myself, I returned. Now I'm a fussy bugger, I have certain things that'll make eating somewhere a unhappy experience for me, service is one of them. The service here was excellent. swift, unobtrusive and efficient. The staff clearly work hard. The table was clean, no stickiness. The coffi was superb. I mean excellent, large, perfect on the goldilocks scale and perfect on the caffeine levels. smooth and large. Happy days. The large breakfast arrived delivered by the chef, it was all cooked well, hot but not sat under a lamp desert hot. Eggs were lush, bacon was good. Sausages were OK, the mushrooms were Plentiful if a little bland. The single, thick slice of bread was excellent. Overall I really enjoyed my visit, I also really enjoyed the tiny bit of interaction with the next table as they chattered in Cymraeg, I am learning so hearing it in public is great. TLDR:clean. Great service. Reasonable price. Superb coffi. Great service from all staff. Busy without being heaving.

always had lovely food here but not today had a lovely coffee but the cake was very dry even with butter could not eat it at 3 50 it shout have been binned days ago never again

One of my favourite cafes! Really nice atmosphere. There are tables outside, where you can sit and listen to all the birds (many many many birds, it's really pleasant).

We enjoyed a light lunch here. They mainly serve light meals but do have main eg. Gammon and chips. We both had cheese and ham toasties. They were large and served with salad and crisps. They also served home made cakes, which looked delicious, and ice cream. We were there on Wednesdsy and there were not many places open around so we were glad to find it. They have some outdoor seating as well. We would return if we were in the area again.

Beautiful cafe with friendly staff who cannot do enough for you. The food was healthy, tasty and well priced. We were impressed!

We came to Llandrindod for a little trip out as we are on holiday. We fancied lunch and this cafe looked lovely. I had a Diet Coke and a sausage butty, that was ok (no butter or spread on the bread which was a shame) . My husband ordered “Welsh rarebit” which he thought would be toast with some sort of cheese, egg topping. What he got was a toastie with lots of onion and a big of liquidy cheese. He ate some of it, I think we probably should have said something while we were there but we just wanted to leave it. We got the impression the lady who served us was just ready for home time. A shame as it’s a nice, bright, comfortable cafe but the food has to be good doesn’t it?

Fantastic food served with a smile. Possibly the best BLT ever on to most wonderfully soft bread. My wife had a toasties which was also excellent

Two visits now , extremely pleased both times . Found this lil gem whilst wondering around. Lovely seating inside and out . Inside is fresh and clean. Food home cooked with a great variety on the menu. Prices are incredible for such high quality. Staff pleasant and professional. Lovely family feel. One of my future favourites no doubt . Tried the full English and the cheeseburger. And of course 10/10 on the mocha 😜

This cafe was lovely and cosy a good variety to choose from the breakfast was amazing. My partner had a burger as you see in the photo, he enjoyed the burger he said. Kid friendly my 2 year old enjoyed playing with the toys they provided. Nice cafe.

Lovely pit stop for lunch. We visited en route to our holiday in Pembrokeshire. We were given a warm welcome and the sandwiches were fresh, plentiful and tasty. They were served with a side salad and crisps. We also had a pot of tea for two, which came accompanied with a pot of hot water, which was plenty to top up for a second cup. The tea room was clean and the only reason for four stars not five is that it would have been nice to have some music on for atmosphere.

Food was nice and affordable prices. It was busy and crowded during midday on a weekday.

Fabulous pancakes with great dressings very well presented by a young staff. Have had meals here before and all were of a very high standard- would definitely recommend

Lovely place great food .easy atmosphere

Located down a sadly rundown arcade. It has outside seating as well, under cover. Not the most welcoming. Spacious and average decor. Food was uninspring and the toasty was rather soggy and mushy. Coffee was average. Seems popular with the locals and some real characters present.

I’ve been meeting friends here for over a year. It’s a nice place to go with a fresh atmosphere. They sell lovely cakes and the drinks are a good price. £2 for a pot of tea at present(November 2023)

Stopped on our way through Wales for lunch and I'm so glad we did! Delicious, quick, varied menu that caters for all dietary requirements and made substitutions for children's preferences too. Really friendly. Highly recommended!

I stopped off here on my way to the Breacon Beacons because they have a lot of vegan options available. Very quiet cafe when I visited, without any music, but this made things peaceful and calm. The staff are friendly. I had a toasted sandwich with roasted veg & hummus (pictured).

Lovely spacious cafe tastefully decorated with a bit of a hippy vibe. Friendly helpful staff, very accommodating regarding diet whether u are vegan need gluten free exclusion eg dairy free or enjoy meat. Good menu. All day breakfasts wonderful variety of cakes and drinks

We came for coffee and cake but then saw the menu -so the cakes went into compostable containers and we ordered - all home made , attention to detail ( including seeds in our salad) delicious, nutritious and all served by friendly staff . If we lived here , this would be our go to as we could not fault it. It was too yummy to do a before photo

Amazing food and friendly staff

Dog friendly cafe centre of town- I am from the sw of England and came across this gem of a place a year ago whilst in the area. This year again travelling through Wales I came out of my way to eat lunch here. Such a friendly community focused cafe- lovely home cooked good at half the price of more expensive " foodie" type towns. Soak up the " llandrod" atmosphere in the herb garden!

I was needing the loo and the lady serving let me use it without any questions asked. The way it should be. I bought a coke on the way out as a thank you.

Discovered this charming café too late for a lunch but was rewarded with an excellent coffee. Strong and well made. Engaging waitress who was thrilled with a celebrity visit the previous day ‘Tony Robinson cake in with his film crew. Delightful ambience and seeing.

Over stuffed plates. Crisps, salad, coleslaw not necessary. Complete overload

Lovely little cafe in the town. Came here twice during our stay in the area. Staff were friendly and helpful. A great menu selection including plenty of vegan options and some GF options too which was great to see. We had Full English breakfasts, Toasties, Sausage, Egg, Chips and beans, Poached egg on toast. Everything ordered came very promptly and cooked to perfection for us. A highly recommended cafe. Many thanks!

Probably the only highlight of Llandrindod Wells a very shabby sad town but at least you can get a decent cup of coffee at the herb garden, the only cafe that we were prepared to try the others just looked a bit sad and grubby

Never had a problem with the Herb Garden food. But for the second time we waited too long to be served and ended up eating elsewhere....

Herb Garden Cafe is a great place to stop for a drink or bite to eat while exploring the area. We had lunch after wandering around the lake. Staff are friendly and helpful and service was quick. Food is delicious too. The place had a nice busy vibe to it with everyone enjoying themselves. Full marks for the baby changing facilities too, they provided wipes, a nappy bin and a changing mat on a chest high platform which was very welcome after my son was wet through! A lot of places have non existent facilities for parents so this was great to see. Happily recommend. Many thanks

Lovely food, and not bad prices

Clean, good choice on the menu, staff pleasant and what we ordered were very nice. Only downer was a couple trying to arrange a loan on the phone, heard by all, and all the more embarrassing as they got knocked back, not the tea rooms fault I hasten to add.

This cafe is located down a small arcade but has inside and outside seating so suitable for disabled people to visit, the coffee has a variety of choices, and the cakes are great, there is also a menu, and the staff are friendly.

The staff are friendly and polite, then food is freshly cooked which means there is a slight wait however this is not a problem as the drinks were served quickly with non dairy milk options. I really like eating here for breakfast and like to support this local business.

Popped in for a gluten free breakfast and it was amazing! Everything tasted spot on and we will defiantly come back. Whole menu had GF options and it’s great to see, usually a struggle to find somewhere with such a huge choice. Keep up the good work!

Very nice, helpful with my dietary needs, which is really nice, as you don't get that very often! Quite Reasonably priced, we didn't have to wait to long for our food and the staff where they friendly and the cafe was clean which is always very important.

We stopped off for lunch and sat outside in a little covered area. It is dog friendly and a member of staff bought our dog a water bowl which was nice. We had jacket potatoes, toasted sandwich and a burger and all were very nice. The chips were particularly good. We didn’t have any cake but from what I saw they looked very good. Would definitely visit again.

Very cosy inside, I got a takeaway soya flat white. In some cafés, the soya milk gets curdled but this was fine. Good size cup and good coffee.

How lovely it was to walk into a place with so many gluten free choices available. I am coeliac and it can be quite a chore trying to find places with such choices. Here it was easy and I felt "normal" being able to choose a simple sandwich and cake, things which others take for granted. The date slices are absolutely to die for, well done, would highly recommend a visit.
