Tried a different dish this time and when the owner asked our opinion it was nice hot and spicy we politely mentioned I would like More coconut to the dish and he was very obliging they did so and the food was awesome... These guys can make a good curry fair play
We booked a table here after climbing Snowdon, dog friendly, dealt with the complex allergies that two of our party have, the food was excellent! Will definitely come back next time we're in the area
We had Sunday Lunch here today as we were in the area for a weekend break. It was incredible!
I had the Turkey roast dinner which was so tasty, and there was a huge portion of vegetables to go with it. My fiancee had the salmon salad and completely cleared her plate.
I had the Key Lime Pie for dessert and she had the Raspberry & Champagne Cheesecake, neither stood a chance and were absolutely demolished.
Service was brilliant too, can't recommend enough!
I great find, just back from the hussle and bustle of the front. A really good selection on the menu, including vegan options. All served quickly. Our only disappointment was not being able to sit outside due to the Welsh weather!
Amazing Sunday lunch, starting with the pea and ham soup, served with lovely fresh bread and welsh butter and a smoked duck salad. Mains of the roast beef and the lamb, cooked to perfection with perfect roast potatoes and vegetables. We managed to leave enough room for the cheesecake and the sticky toffee pudding. Highly recommend this restaurant if you’re in the area, very friendly and helpful staff who go the extra mile and good value for money.

Went on spec. Turned put it was an all you can eat buffet. Everything was very good.
I do prefer the normal menu situation as the buffet doesn't cater for the stronger curries I prefer. Well worth a visit though.
Had a lovely meal in the Glaslyn Tandoori this evening. My young son and I were well looked-after as soon as we walked in and made to feel very welcome. My meal was delicious and the atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. Will look forward to returning one day.

I had a calzone. Never had one like this before. The first one was hard and burnt but they happily remade me another. This was still hard. Maybe it’s a different way to make them but I believe it was reheated as it was tge worst I e ever had. They fed quite a few of us and that was a great service. Just beware when ordering calzone. I think I am the only complainer. Well not complaining just warning

As semi-regulars of The Fairwater, the service is the obvious point to mention. Staff recognise and remember preferences easily. On the third visit, "the regular?" became the standard greeting, ordering drinks individually becomes redundant, and the staff become fast friends. Conversational but not distractingly so, and insightful but eager to improve, the staff are, in a single word, wonderful.
The regulars of the pub leave nothing to be desired. A conversation is always waiting to happen, and there is no shortness of acceptance or friendliness.
The atmosphere is astounding, and the new landlord and landlady (at least as of 2024/2025) are endlessly trying to improve it: floral accents, welcoming and homely warm lighting, regular fantastic events (especially the fortnightly quiz/bingo) make a sense of community inevitable.
The quality of food served leaves absolutely nothing to be desired. It's obvious here that food is not frozen or prepackaged, and served with a very particular care. Even listening around the bar, you hear people complimenting the service staff and the cooks. A stand-out conversation for me is someone (who is self-professedly very picky about their food) claiming the food is to die for. No small praise!
My rating of 4/5 for food here comes simply from a rather limited menu. A lot of my and my family's favorite pub foods are not represented on the menu, and thus I cannot sensibly rate the pub on how they present or serve the foods I'm most familiar with. What they do serve, however, is nothing short of fantastic.
The Fairwater historically has a very tainted reputation, quite deservedly so, based on the actions of past landlords. The current ownership (James & Vicky) are unreservedly and unabashedly working simply for the best of the community, and nothing else.
In short, The Fairwater is a great choice for a lone or family outing, even in the late evenings.
First thing I noticed was that everyone was greeted really warmly and made to feel at home. I really like the decor, and it has a lovely atmosphere. We ordered 2 vegetarian breakfasts and they were delicious! Also the cappuccino was one of the best I’ve had & was just what we needed. We didn’t taste any of the cakes as we were full after breakfast but they all looked lush, would defiantly come back again!
Staying in the area so booked a table at Gulshan as me and my partner love an Indian cuisine. We were greeted right away with a smile and sat down. The customer service was brilliant, couldn’t have asked for any better and the food was superb. We took our 3 year old son and they made sure his Ribena was the correct strength!
We will definitely return if we are in the area and we cannot recommend them enough, also well priced.
