Visited this restaurant on weds evening we are big curry fans and we were not disappointed two lovely curries and side dishes at very reasonable prices would definitely recommend and we will visit again when we are next in the area

I cannot recommend this place enough. Very clean inside, staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was very nice and a great portion size, just about managed to finish it.

We had a truly delicious meal here! Highly recommend the Chicken Passanda , Okra and Tarka Dahl. Lovely, welcoming atmosphere in the restaurant, with a very funny, friendly and charismatic front of house manager. Definitely worth visit.

Hard to find Halal restaurant only Glaslyn tandoori and sima tandoori is the best place to get Halal food and food is really tasty.

This place just goes on giving. Have been here twice of the last 20 days and the service and food was excellent. Great choices and very well priced. Nice wine and drinks list. Car parking is available . A must place to visit.

So we were staying locally as in next door in an Airbnb which in itself was fabulous. So tried the restaurant next door for a takeaway, and it was fabulous. The staff were very friendly and the food was had lots of flavour as well as spice and really it was tasty, everyone in our party enjoyed everything. Well done guys👍

It was admittedly a busy Friday and they weren’t enough staff the food seemed to come out in stages and was poor there was no apologies. Definitely avoid

Had an excellent meal. The korai was the best I have ever tasted. Service was spot on and the restaurant was warm and comfortable when we visited on a cold night. Will definitely be returning.

The food was great and the service was great. The only problem being everything was a bit tight for space. The staff were attentive and you didn’t have to wait very long for service.

Fantastic little local restaurant, great food and friendly staff. Was nice to be made to feel so welcome and we enjoyed our time here. The children enjoyed their first taste of traditional Indian cuisine. We will be back again in the future.

Loved this restaurant. The food was excellent, we were all helped to make a suitable choice by the lovely waiters. It was excellent value for money and we ate nearly everything which is a sign of good quality and choice. I would like to mention the waiters as they were tip top, thank you Imran, Sufian and Shaon.

Second time here - food is excellent. North Ondian Garlic dishes are top drawer. I’ve just sampled the Murghi Masala which was superb. Great service from Imran, Shone and Sufian. Highly recommended!!!

I have ordered from here for many years, but unfortunately when ordering my last curry I found a lump of chicken in my vegetable korma. As a committed vegetarian this was upsetting. Please make sure that there is no cross-contamination in the future, as I have been a loyal customer for many years but will no longer be.

The staff was so kind. They checked up on us a couple of times and made sure we liked the food. Atmosphere was incredible with a lot of variety from the menu. The food was excellent with the price not as expensive and could feel the vibe as soon as you enter. And to make the experience even better, they gave us wipes and mint chocolate to end the flavourful journey. Would recommend.

Rang up earlier and accepted our telephone booking. Turned up on time and table was not ready (still dirty). Had to ask staff to order drinks and food. Waited over an hour for food mains to arrive. Food arrived and was cold. Member of staff behind bar was rude. Place was just a shambles. Woke up at 01:30 with brown rain. Do not go to this restaurant!

My wife was served a dish that she hadn't ordered, a mistake from the personnel. When it came to paying the bill the personnel became defensive and almost immediately extremely verbally aggressive insulting us in front of the whole restaurant, it was extremely embarrassing. This in contrast to the otherwise friendly contact with other businesses in Porth Madog.

Excellent and plentiful dinner, very attentive and welcoming waiters with both adults and children, for whom they were able to recommend non-spicy dishes. The menu has a wide choice with moderate prices, and the restaurant is open until 11pm, while the others in the area mostly close their kitchens at 8pm. Furthermore, the place is very clean and cared for in its layout and furnishings. We had a really nice evening.

Great restaurant, great food, great service from Russell

Turned up for a long awaited meal that was booked up 4 months in advance, only to find the place in darkness with a hand written note on the glass stating there was maintenance issue, closed until further notice. Even though they had my Dad's contact number they failed to let us know prior. Absolute f... joke. Don't deserve to be in business, if we could rate with minus stars WE WOULD.

Visited Glaslyn Tandoori yesterday evening for dinner to takeaway. Staff were very friendly, quick to take my order and get cooking it. I had the Chicken Madras with plain naan and poppadoms. Photo's don't show it well, but there was a lot of food for the money, with lots of curry and naan of a good size. Was steaming hot and fresh still when got back to eat it. It was a nice meal, but I think the Madras could have done with a bit more spice and the sauce a bit thicker to make it perfect. Happily come back, perhaps to try the vinadloo for the added heat.

10/10 will definitely be visiting again, had a chicken vindaloo and it was amazing would definitely recommend the staff and atmosphere was great!

Delicious food, unfortunately strange smells from the toilet

Popped in last night for a fantastic meal with my partner. From start to finish staff were polite and very attentive. Poppadoms were fresh and crisp, sauces could be larger. Dawn had chicken Tikka main, chicken was tender and full of flavour. I had a fish Dhansak, sweet sour and perfect spicy heat. Sag aloo was to die for, and would say prob best I'd ever tasted. Pillau rice light and fluffy fresh flavored. Garlic Naan very good, could have done with a bit more garlic and ghee to top off, but still very nice

We are visiting from London, this is our first time here. I called and mentioned it being our dad's 60th birthday, I must say they went above and beyond, they had decorated with balloons,banners, confetti a card and even a birthday cake! It blew us all away. Food was great although we ordered too much for us to finish. The service was great,food delicious. Thankyou so so much guys,you were all so lovely x Rainbow Family

Great evening spent with the family, celebrating our dad's 60th Birthday, they really went out of their way to celebrate his birthday with us. Including balloons, banner, cake, birthday card and candles on the cake. Really put in so much more effort than what we expected. Thanks so much

Not at all happy. Staff was very rude and in appropriate. and you can not sit more than 20 minutes inside. They started talking off the plates from tables while we were already having the food.

Giving a 1 star because there isnt an option for 0 star. Horrible service. Rude attitude from servers. Gave us the wrong food than we ordered, and when we asked about it he was rude to us and was very reluctant to change it. He didn't even care to apologise. We even complained to the manager, and he didn't even care. Overall, very bad experience.

Worst service ever, very rude service.

I was very disappointed and disgusted as a fellow Indian. The food had no flavour. The staff were mean and not nice at all. They asked us to move the table twice after seating us. They messed up my order and when I told them. The servers were rude and asked us to eat what was given. When I said I wanted what I ordered I was told I will have to pay for the wrong order too. They were been raciest to us Indian than whites and blacks that was in the store.

Delightful curry in all ways. Lamb properly cooked - ie for a long time and so tender. Bhajis fried nicely and handmade. Sauces delicate and subtle. Lots of freshness to everything. Wonderful - best I’ve had in ages.

Great food, but don't take credit cards

Average food. Lots of artificial colours used( we had paneer karahi). Waiters not very interested in serving Asians. Biggest lowdown is that they accept ONLY CASH( this will be notified only after you have had your food). Disappointing

Popped in for a curry after the football we did not book but they managed to get us a table,we only had poppadoms then had mains.The food was well presented and a decent portion size and was delicious the only down side I had a cheese naan which was made with the plastic cheese slices which Iam not keen on at the best of times so was really disappointed with the naan.

After reading reviews decided to try restaurant while staying locally on holiday. Wednesday @ 7 pm wasn't busy. Ordered a chef special which just tasted of garlic and a Ceylon, very bland. Naan bread was very doughy and hard. Service was a bit uninterested.

Food and service were excellent visited whilst on holiday with friends who had their young granddaughter so we eat very early but many other guests came in while we were there and everyone seemed to have the same service as we had received

It was the worst experience i ever had at any restaurant, i ordered almost for 30 pounds and they didn’t allow me to sit in. And on the top of everything it was a tasteless food as they forgot to add salt at all and quantity was really bad… so never go to this place. Save your time and money

Myself and my partner went for a curry new years eve. Very good food, best curry had in ages. Friendly service and good atmosphere. Would go again if we stay in the area again.

The only place open on Christmas Day in Porthmadog and a great option for a nice, warm meal. Tried their chicken biryani and their garlic chicken served with paratha. Both were flavourful and served quick, fresh, and delicious. Service was really good too.

Food was delicious. Quality was good and decent serving sizes.

Despite ordering a starter, two vegetarian side dishes, and two naan breads, we were informed halfway through the wait that it was mandatory to order at least one main dish. This rule, unmentioned during our initial order, posed an inconvenience as we were staying in the village for just one day and had ordered two sides intending to finish our meal. Unfortunately, the lack of flexibility in accommodating our request led us to leave the establishment. Notably, this rule, which would have eventually cost the same as a main dish if not more than 2 sides approximately £9.50, should be clearly communicated during the ordering process, on the menu, or on the website. The empty state of the restaurant throughout our visit may be attributed to such undisclosed policies, leaving a disheartening impression on our overall dining experience. Poor customer service.

Wow , i was working away for a few night and decided to grab a meal for one takeaway while i was in the area , first of all the staff were really nice and friendly when i picked it up. The meal for one had so much food !! Absolutely filled me up and was really delicious. Great value for money great staff and the inside looked very nice to dine if i wasnt alone !! 😄 ill have to go again when im next in the area

Had a take away yesterday a bit mystified the food was very nicely cooked and would have been lovely but so bland. We had 4 dishes 3 of which should have been spicy but just lacked any heat or spice. I would go again but would emphasise add a bit more chilli and spice. We were guided by the chilli rating on the menu 😁

Was hesitant to order from here due to the bad reviews, however the food was fantastic and was ready in 25 minutes. Would definitely return in the future

Went here at 5.30 Monday night on holiday off peak time. Thank god we went at that time, by 6pm it was packed and by 6.30 they were turning people away. My partner doesn't like curry and so ordered honey chicken which was mild, he absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, I will be going again if we are ever back in North wales

Ordered a takeaway ,got it home 2 miles away and when opened found my 2 mint sauces missing and the portion sizes were so small it was a joke. Lamb Pathia was tough and chicken tikka masala was watery and bland.

We visit wales every summer and this place is without doubt one of the main things we look forward to! It is just fantastic. We are in the restaurant last year but this year we opted for takeaway. The food is just delicious! A real must if you’re staying in or around Porthmadog.

Arrived and welcomed by friendly staff, with service being very fast. Even with the restaurant soon becoming busier after we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. The food was extremely tasty and definitely value for money!! If you're looking for a filling meal with plenty to choose from then this is the place to go!!
