Delightful curry in all ways. Lamb properly cooked - ie for a long time and so tender. Bhajis fried nicely and handmade. Sauces delicate and subtle. Lots of freshness to everything. Wonderful - best I’ve had in ages.

Brilliant food, Brilliant service, restaurant was slightly cramped but wasn't a issue, highly recommend.

Great food, but don't take credit cards

Average food. Lots of artificial colours used( we had paneer karahi). Waiters not very interested in serving Asians. Biggest lowdown is that they accept ONLY CASH( this will be notified only after you have had your food). Disappointing

Popped in for a curry after the football we did not book but they managed to get us a table,we only had poppadoms then had mains.The food was well presented and a decent portion size and was delicious the only down side I had a cheese naan which was made with the plastic cheese slices which Iam not keen on at the best of times so was really disappointed with the naan.

What a superb meal for the whole family! Exceptionally helpful over dietary restrictions too - oh that more good quality Indian restaurants could match the willingness to give precise advice and leave out certain ingredients... ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for service then!!

After reading reviews decided to try restaurant while staying locally on holiday. Wednesday @ 7 pm wasn't busy. Ordered a chef special which just tasted of garlic and a Ceylon, very bland. Naan bread was very doughy and hard. Service was a bit uninterested.

Food and service were excellent visited whilst on holiday with friends who had their young granddaughter so we eat very early but many other guests came in while we were there and everyone seemed to have the same service as we had received

We are staying at the Haven site just up the road and had a takeaway from here, lovely curry and present staff

It was the worst experience i ever had at any restaurant, i ordered almost for 30 pounds and they didn’t allow me to sit in. And on the top of everything it was a tasteless food as they forgot to add salt at all and quantity was really bad… so never go to this place. Save your time and money

Myself and my partner went for a curry new years eve. Very good food, best curry had in ages. Friendly service and good atmosphere. Would go again if we stay in the area again.

The only place open on Christmas Day in Porthmadog and a great option for a nice, warm meal. Tried their chicken biryani and their garlic chicken served with paratha. Both were flavourful and served quick, fresh, and delicious. Service was really good too.

Food was delicious. Quality was good and decent serving sizes.

Despite ordering a starter, two vegetarian side dishes, and two naan breads, we were informed halfway through the wait that it was mandatory to order at least one main dish. This rule, unmentioned during our initial order, posed an inconvenience as we were staying in the village for just one day and had ordered two sides intending to finish our meal. Unfortunately, the lack of flexibility in accommodating our request led us to leave the establishment. Notably, this rule, which would have eventually cost the same as a main dish if not more than 2 sides approximately £9.50, should be clearly communicated during the ordering process, on the menu, or on the website. The empty state of the restaurant throughout our visit may be attributed to such undisclosed policies, leaving a disheartening impression on our overall dining experience. Poor customer service.

Does anyone know if they offer smaller adult/child portions. I find I cannot eat a 'normal' portion anymore!

Wow , i was working away for a few night and decided to grab a meal for one takeaway while i was in the area , first of all the staff were really nice and friendly when i picked it up. The meal for one had so much food !! Absolutely filled me up and was really delicious. Great value for money great staff and the inside looked very nice to dine if i wasnt alone !! 😄 ill have to go again when im next in the area

A no frills, fine Indian resaurant with a good menu including some original dishes. Prompt and friendly service. We enjoyed it. Cash only.

Had a take away yesterday a bit mystified the food was very nicely cooked and would have been lovely but so bland. We had 4 dishes 3 of which should have been spicy but just lacked any heat or spice. I would go again but would emphasise add a bit more chilli and spice. We were guided by the chilli rating on the menu 😁

Was hesitant to order from here due to the bad reviews, however the food was fantastic and was ready in 25 minutes. Would definitely return in the future

Went here at 5.30 Monday night on holiday off peak time. Thank god we went at that time, by 6pm it was packed and by 6.30 they were turning people away. My partner doesn't like curry and so ordered honey chicken which was mild, he absolutely loved it. The food was delicious, I will be going again if we are ever back in North wales

Ordered a takeaway ,got it home 2 miles away and when opened found my 2 mint sauces missing and the portion sizes were so small it was a joke. Lamb Pathia was tough and chicken tikka masala was watery and bland.

We visit wales every summer and this place is without doubt one of the main things we look forward to! It is just fantastic. We are in the restaurant last year but this year we opted for takeaway. The food is just delicious! A real must if you’re staying in or around Porthmadog.

Arrived and welcomed by friendly staff, with service being very fast. Even with the restaurant soon becoming busier after we arrived, nothing was too much trouble. The food was extremely tasty and definitely value for money!! If you're looking for a filling meal with plenty to choose from then this is the place to go!!

Food was great but cash only. They fitted us in as a table of 8 walk up at 8.15. Everything was nice.

Food is really average but the staff are friendly and we enjoyed our meal. All the food we had were vegetarian options and they were spicy and filling.

Tandoori chicken was undercooked and nothing like I have had before or want again. Chicken tikka masala was tasteless. Complete waste of time and money. Avoid

Got a takeaway from here based on Google reviews and was not disappointed. Ready and waiting when I turned up and meal was lovely. Tried a new one on me (Jaflag) and found it very tasty. Sag Aloo was excellent along with the popadoms and chutneys. One point to remember for anyone ordering. If you like a bit of spice, go for the red dots. As I was unsure I went for double green, and wished it was hotter. My bad, but still 5 stars

Had a meal last night when visiting the area, worst curry we’ve ever had. Bland, watery and little meat. We sat at the back near the bar and watched the staff scrape the uneaten dregs from the condiment pot’s into other pots and reserve these to other customers, my special balti was basically a bland meat stew, very over priced for the quality of food being served

Attention all Snowdonia visitors and locals for that matter, do not chose this curry house for your post climb dinner. Food was incredibly overpriced, very average quality and they provided extremely tiny portions not even fit for a toddler. I will most certainly be returning to the area but I will make sure to avoid this place.

The food was superb! We each had a different meal and they were all delicious. Wonderful flavours and generous portions. This was our first visit, the friendly welcome, helpful advice re' menu choices and attentive service ensured that it won't be our last! Can't wait to go back and try some more from the extensive menu. Highly recommended.

I was staying in a local village nearby and couldn't be bothered to cook so decided to try this place for a take away. Chef Micro must have been working overtime and they must have shares in the local frozen food shop. Bland tasteless food. I will eat almost anything but even I have standards and struggled with this. Not nice. It must have been bad not even the dog wanted it.....Big improvement needed

The lamb tikka starter should of been called, onions with a hint of lamb. The food came out to quick and not very tasty, maybe slow down and get some flavour into your dishes.

Been here a few time when it was passage to India, just been here again and it was vile, chicken tikka masala tasted like vinegar and the water it left on the plate was unbelievable, garlic and cheese naan, it was just a naan, garlic rice, it was just rice, cash only, chips were horrendous, chicken tikka starters, I have made better at home, really not good this time

The team were warm and welcoming, and helped us with our choices. The food was superb, and we all enjoyed our dishes. Food was piping hot and obviously prepared with care. This is on our list of places to revisit

The tables were sticky and we got a melted toast cheese on our daal... But overall the food was nice and the staff were very kind.

Very poor standard than normal, curry was very watered and runny, not much taste and chicken wasn't very fresh. Very dissatisfied as normally quite good....

I can't even describe what these jokers served me for dinner yesterday evening. It was worse than the hate-filled food I was given for free by the resentful chefs at my work's canteen. It tasted like dishwasher muddled with out-of-date garlic. It clearly had been watered-down so that these profiteers can squeeze an extra dime out of you unsuspecting diners. I have one piece of advice: if you are going to water down your food, you should water down your prices!

Shared a fabulous meal last night with another couple and we all had lots to drink too. Whole meal and drinks came to £101.00, for all of us. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Would have taken photos but it was so delicious I'd eaten it before I even thought about it xx

We have always been happy with the Tandoori, this has been the 3rd year we have used it as we come here for our holidays once a year. We were not happy this year as by the time we picked it up which they told us 25 mins, it was already out on the side waiting. We are literally a 2mins drive from where we are staying and it was just warm by the time we got it home and pretty cold by the time we had finished eating.Such a shame as we have always rated this restaurant.

Lady behind the till on Tuesday night what a hard worker she never stopped. Answering phone taking orders on phone serving people tidying round. Well done who ever you were. Food very nice price reasonable best to book busy little place. Would recommend

As soon as we walked in, some of the customers were staring at Escobar junior. We don't know why but they must have recognised him. He is insanely handsome though so it may have just been that. One of the waiters was very nice and friendly. The other seemed a bit nervous. No need to be nervous when Escobar is in town! I am a nice guy! The food took a while to arrive but was tasty. The portions were of an acceptable size. The price was a bit expensive but hey, no problem.

The only thing good about this place is the naan! The rest is all very average except for the butter chicken which is awful. It tastes more like a bowl of maple syrup.

Had a takeaway from here. But you can book to eat inside. The food was very tasty and well worth the cost.. Will always go here, when in porthmadog.

Right, let’s get straight to the point, I ordered a tonic water - I got WATER 😡 the menu was very confusing and there wasn’t very children friendly food, wouldn’t recommend 😥

Been holidaying in porthmadog twice a year for 12 years. We have tried all the restaurants at home and never very good. We had a takeaway was piping hot lots of melt in the mouth meat fluffy rice catered to our dietary requrements quick collection time great price loverly staff the restaurant looked loverly small but nicely presented.

We arrived to late to eat at a nearby hotel and I'm glad really. This was a great little place to eat and the lady who served us was really nice.

Excellent food, warm welcome and nice ambiance. Reasonably priced too. Would have been 5 stars, but a slight glitch meant that our main courses were brought to the table before I had been given my starter. They promised to prepare fresh mains & not reheat the ones we had been presented with. When the main courses came they were lovely and appeared fresh. We're in town for a week and have already reserved a table for our last night.

Excellent well spiced visited twice on same week

This restaurant is very good. The staff are all lovely and the quality of the food is fantastic. The meal was brilliant from start to finish. We will certainly go again when we revisit Porthmadog

Wouldn't do kids portions. Would only take cash. Chefs special butter chicken was just a bowl of sweet sugared cream that had to be sent back. Came back with more cream added. Breads was hard/over done. All in. Fail.
