Just had a fabulous Sunday roast at a super price in a really nice setting. Staff excellent. Would highly recommend.

Party of 8. We had 4 starters 8 mains of which 6 were Sunday lunch, 2 were burgers and 5 deserts. The food was amazing so many different types of veg and the best burger my husband has had for a while. Sticky toffee pudding was delicious. Thank you

I attended a function here at the Fairwater and there was a lovely atmosphere at the pub it has a real friendly and family oriented vibe here now, The owners make you feel very welcome.

Held a party here for my Daughter's birthday. Friendly place ideal size for the number of guests that we had invited. Staff could not have been more helpful, would definitely recommend.

Went for Christmas lunch on Tues 10th December. The meal was exceptional! Best Christmas lunch ever. The service was outstanding and a great atmosphere. Would recommend it to anyone!

Last minute decision to stop in for some food, the price was good, the staff were very welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious. I had a steak and it was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. I had been having a crap day but left feeling much happier thanks to the friendly staff, great music and tasty food. I will definitely be going back.

I recently came In and had the Thai green curry and a drink on the Wednesday deal. I was very happy with the food it was delicious (have not eaten there in a while) and was thrilled . The staff are very friendly and professional and the new landlords have done an excellent job in the marketing , communication and great customer service. It’s nice to see the owners asking customers for their input and taking a general interest in what we want and events happening there. Great job guys 👏

We travelled over to Cardiff from Bristol to meet with friends and decided to pop in The Fairwater as it was local. Great airy pub, staff and management all very welcoming. The food looked lovely that was coming out from the kitchen, we didn't try it on this occasion, but will definitely do so when we next visit our friends again!

Since being taken over in August 2024 there has definitely been an improvement. The food is delicious, especially the lasagna. The staff are very friendly. The pub smells clean.

I booked the Fairwater Pub's function room for my sisters birthday recently and it was amazing. All of the staff were welcoming and friendly from the moment I started setting up to the very end of the night. The communication between myself and the Landlady and Landlord was smooth and very clear. They offered me tables and let me lay out the room how I felt best. They let us have a DJ there and our own catering. The price for the room was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone. I would defiantly go back and I can't thank them enough! Happy smiles all around

The stuff are lovely made sure we have everything we needed for My 30th party (privet Event.) Drinks and the room was a fair price would book another event there again (no stars on the food as I didn't have food there yet )

Last night, my friends and I visited The Fairwater Hotel/pub for a casual evening out, and we were all thoroughly impressed with the experience. Despite our large group of 10, the staff were incredibly accommodating, the service throughout the night was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and efficient, without being intrusive. The menu offered a wide variety of classic pub dishes with something for everyone. . The Fairwater hotel did an incredible job handling our large group without any compromise on quality or service. Everyone left full, happy, and already talking about our next visit. If you’re looking for a pub with hearty food, great drinks, and a welcoming vibe, this place is a winner!

The new land lord and land lady are fantastic! They are so welcoming and come around and talk to everyone. The food is amazing and really reasonable. There's a real community feel in the pub and I feel really comfortable taking my son there. Brilliant playpark too.

Wow, 1st time going to The Fairwater in quite a few years. We had arranged a small get together/baby shower for 25 people. Both James and Vicky were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Becky and Callum were very helpful too. The food was delicious and drinks were reasonably priced. With such a lovely, welcoming community atmosphere we have made the decision to hold out works Christmas do here this year and we can't wait!

Well, what a lovely experience!! We’ve been here before and we’re not impressed but after hearing it was taken over we thought we’d try it again. So glad we did !! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Very welcoming staff and our boys felt at ease even being the only children in the pub. The outdoor area looks lovely and would be our chosen spot during the warmer months. Was lovely to see dominoes, cards and colouring available ! We will definitely be going back and we can’t wait to make this our local.

This was my first visit to the fairwater hotel. I moved to the area about a year ago, but never thought about visiting. The new owners have been posting on the committee site quite a lot with new entertainment and photos of the new menu. I thought I would pop in with my dog (on my evening walk). The pub was super friendly with water for my dog as well. I had a glass of wine and a chat with some regulars and the landlady. This pub will become somewhere I will will frequent often. It really felt like a safe space for someone on their own as well as my dog, and if he's good my husband as well 😎 Thank you for your hospitality.

What a lovely polite pub, went with family , my 2 year old was kept well occupied with colours and books, landlady and landlord gave GREAT customer service , very welcoming down to earth people , food was lovely cooked with care, can’t wait to come again soon Thank you for your service

Unfortunately I chose to go when the food wasn't being sorted but nonetheless amazing place for locals and anyone in general. Owners are superb

Not a bad pub. Some good customers drink there and dogs are welcome. Food isn't outstanding but not bad. If anything the beer is a little pricey for an out of town pub that is used mostly by locals.

Friendly staff. Play area for the kids and (a rare find this) a skittle alley! - reminds me of childhood pub experiences before skittle alleys and games rooms were turned into extra seating for diners. Brains bitter and pale ale (nice mild local brew that) on tap as well as the continental lagers. Karaoke was also setting up for the night so probably a good local to visit for having a sing song!

A bit of seniors pub. Quite quiet on a Thursday night. Very efficient bar staff.

Mishap with the meal as chef was off. Manager and daughter in the kitchen instead of closing it . Apolisged profusely . Ensuring that my client was happy. Will return

No respect for residential neighbours when they have outdoor parties with music absolutely blaring so all you can hear all day is the thump thump thump of an awful baseline.

I am a regular customer of fairwater pub as I live locally. On Saturday the 10th of June, I went there to watch the Champions League final, as they have a big screen and I enjoyed the atmosphere. From the beginning of the game, I was ordering drinks for my family (My partner, 12 year old son and I) At half time (around 8:50 PM) I ordered another round of drinks, which I was served by a bartender. Just after paying, I was approached in a rude manner by a lady who seemed to be in charge and she said “The child needs to be out of this pub by 9:00 PM!” Although I understand that these are the rules, which i was not aware of, It is the rude manner she approached me, giving me and my family 9 minutes to finish 3 drinks! And it is the way that she barged it and raised her voice at my partner! It is not the way you treat local, regular customers! Additionally, she could’ve told me that before I purchased the drinks! Terrible customer service!

It's more a locals pub than anything else and it's not a place I would like to return to in future but it's all experience at the end of it all.

Absolutely the place to go for good food I usually go down in the week for Food there but I also booked a Christmas meal and it was the best dinner Iv had in my life I will Definitely be booking next year

Went for lunch couple of weeks ago and exceeded my expectations! Ordered the burgers and they were so good and very hot. 88yr old auntie had one as well and no lie...she ate the lot! One of best burgers I've had, staff were lovely and Jon great landlord always chatting to customers 😁

A good local pub. Well-kept Brains bitter, plus the usual range of lager and keg beers. Nice pork scratchings ('Q' brand), too.

This a lovely Brains owned public house but a little rundown Brains needs to invest in it more. The food is always good as is the drinks, but the staff are what make the place worth a visit very motivated and customer service orientated. It has a big bar plus the main lounge and eating area, along with a large outside area with a small kids play area to, plus the upstairs function room. This pub is well used by the local community but it still needs some funds spent on it to bring it up to date especially the toilets, main rooms furniture and fittings etc, not just a paint job. However having said all of this in the current financial climate one can't see it happening any time soon either mores the pity.
