The new land lord and land lady are fantastic! They are so welcoming and come around and talk to everyone. The food is amazing and really reasonable. There's a real community feel in the pub and I feel really comfortable taking my son there. Brilliant playpark too.

Wow, 1st time going to The Fairwater in quite a few years. We had arranged a small get together/baby shower for 25 people. Both James and Vicky were so welcoming and couldn't do enough for us. Becky and Callum were very helpful too. The food was delicious and drinks were reasonably priced. With such a lovely, welcoming community atmosphere we have made the decision to hold out works Christmas do here this year and we can't wait!

Had a lovely lunch with friends today. Landlady made a point of meeting us and staff were lovely. We will return thank you

Well, what a lovely experience!! We’ve been here before and we’re not impressed but after hearing it was taken over we thought we’d try it again. So glad we did !! The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lovely. Very welcoming staff and our boys felt at ease even being the only children in the pub. The outdoor area looks lovely and would be our chosen spot during the warmer months. Was lovely to see dominoes, cards and colouring available ! We will definitely be going back and we can’t wait to make this our local.

This was my first visit to the fairwater hotel. I moved to the area about a year ago, but never thought about visiting. The new owners have been posting on the committee site quite a lot with new entertainment and photos of the new menu. I thought I would pop in with my dog (on my evening walk). The pub was super friendly with water for my dog as well. I had a glass of wine and a chat with some regulars and the landlady. This pub will become somewhere I will will frequent often. It really felt like a safe space for someone on their own as well as my dog, and if he's good my husband as well 😎 Thank you for your hospitality.

Unfortunately I chose to go when the food wasn't being sorted but nonetheless amazing place for locals and anyone in general. Owners are superb

Not a bad pub. Some good customers drink there and dogs are welcome. Food isn't outstanding but not bad. If anything the beer is a little pricey for an out of town pub that is used mostly by locals.

Friendly staff. Play area for the kids and (a rare find this) a skittle alley! - reminds me of childhood pub experiences before skittle alleys and games rooms were turned into extra seating for diners. Brains bitter and pale ale (nice mild local brew that) on tap as well as the continental lagers. Karaoke was also setting up for the night so probably a good local to visit for having a sing song!

A bit of seniors pub. Quite quiet on a Thursday night. Very efficient bar staff.

Mishap with the meal as chef was off. Manager and daughter in the kitchen instead of closing it . Apolisged profusely . Ensuring that my client was happy. Will return

No respect for residential neighbours when they have outdoor parties with music absolutely blaring so all you can hear all day is the thump thump thump of an awful baseline.

I am a regular customer of fairwater pub as I live locally. On Saturday the 10th of June, I went there to watch the Champions League final, as they have a big screen and I enjoyed the atmosphere. From the beginning of the game, I was ordering drinks for my family (My partner, 12 year old son and I) At half time (around 8:50 PM) I ordered another round of drinks, which I was served by a bartender. Just after paying, I was approached in a rude manner by a lady who seemed to be in charge and she said “The child needs to be out of this pub by 9:00 PM!” Although I understand that these are the rules, which i was not aware of, It is the rude manner she approached me, giving me and my family 9 minutes to finish 3 drinks! And it is the way that she barged it and raised her voice at my partner! It is not the way you treat local, regular customers! Additionally, she could’ve told me that before I purchased the drinks! Terrible customer service!

It's more a locals pub than anything else and it's not a place I would like to return to in future but it's all experience at the end of it all.

Food was good quality however the service and atmosphere wasn't great. Rude staff and you definitely get that, 'I'm being stared at because I'm not a regular' feeling. Wouldn't visit again.

Absolutely the place to go for good food I usually go down in the week for Food there but I also booked a Christmas meal and it was the best dinner Iv had in my life I will Definitely be booking next year

Went for lunch couple of weeks ago and exceeded my expectations! Ordered the burgers and they were so good and very hot. 88yr old auntie had one as well and no lie...she ate the lot! One of best burgers I've had, staff were lovely and Jon great landlord always chatting to customers 😁

A good local pub. Well-kept Brains bitter, plus the usual range of lager and keg beers. Nice pork scratchings ('Q' brand), too.

This a lovely Brains owned public house but a little rundown Brains needs to invest in it more. The food is always good as is the drinks, but the staff are what make the place worth a visit very motivated and customer service orientated. It has a big bar plus the main lounge and eating area, along with a large outside area with a small kids play area to, plus the upstairs function room. This pub is well used by the local community but it still needs some funds spent on it to bring it up to date especially the toilets, main rooms furniture and fittings etc, not just a paint job. However having said all of this in the current financial climate one can't see it happening any time soon either mores the pity.

Havnt been here for years .my god brought back memories. Popped in wirh some old friends who go there regularly and shocked to see the atmosphere was kicking ! Amazing even saw my old friend leigh who was dj on the night the place was packed with lots of bubbly happy people having a great time. Went to bar and was greeted by Lewis of who I also known years and he was happy bubbly smiling just how you should be when working in hospitality or with public always have good vibe about you puts people in good mood Girl member of bar staff was miserable unpolite and quite frankly could feel my mood starting to turn nothing worse than miserable rude person serving you ? I don't get why ? It definatly rubs off ! If you want to be moody etc get a job as a traffic warden we're you get paid to be like it .hospitality which is my job shoykd slways be smiling regardless Other than that I had amazing time great place and deffo return with the girls music great too

Nice beer, miserable member of staff, charming customer who felt a need to empty throat secretion into the rubbish bin in the children's play area. A real gem of an establishment 🥴 sadly unlikely to return

Sticky carpets and salt of the earth but a good honest pint for a more than fair price. Well weathered by the locals but if you like a pub that feels like a proper local this is your place.

Triple meat platter for two, Yorkshire puddings vegetables gravy 😁 Could have fed three adults all for £15. On top of this, very pleasant waiter with comfortable surroundings Win win 👍👍👍👍

Nice enough pub, music was a bit loud so couldn't chat comfortably, and it was quite warm there. Staff were helpful and friendly, didn't try the food.

Was having a great night until some guy starting glaring at me and my friend up and down and then he threatened violence when politely confronted. Manager did nothing about it and also rudely commented on my friends appearance and told us to take as a joke. Awful, not recommended if you're a woman because nothing will be done to make you feel safe.

Really good Brains family pub food is well cooked and varied. Ginanuary this month with a good selection and mixer 30% off. Staff are polite and prices are not bad. Well worth a visit!

Great night on the door here. Lovely owner called John. He had so much respect for the door supervisors. Even the punters here were really nice. Very vlean place and great atmosphere.One of the best establishments I have worked at in years as a doorman.

Local pub for local people. Cheap and cheerful, no frills. Do not leave your car in the car park as found the customers happily using my car bonnet as a seating area, and my roof as a pint stand. Did not feel safe as a female at the back of this place as I fetched my car, despite it being on a corner and well lit from the street. Was also approached by a drunk patron who expected me to act as his taxi. Will not be returning but it doesn't pretend to be anything other than what it is...karaoke on a Friday!
