Food cooked and served in different area to other orders. The service was excellent, and it didn't make me feel like I was speaking a foreign language when asked for gluten-free options. When in the area again, definitely go back.

Can be busy. For the right reasons. High quality fish and great chips. We used to share a large cod and chips but portion sizes have reduced. Last weeks large cod wasn't good enough and looked lost in its cardboard box. Worth keeping an eye on what's going into the box because it's too late to question after the lids closed....Hope it's a one off, not a change in what's offered.

Horrible chips, cheapest lowest quality potatoes which are full of black and green dots. Recent years the quality of the food have drastically reduced while prices have dramatically increased. Shame on the legacy of the chip shop as it was once considered the best around!

Good food except for the chips , the last time they changed the oil must have been 2020 , its a shame to spoil the food for the sake of the cost of fresh oil there's no excuse , the prices more than cover the ingredients , come on trekky..

Seems to have gone down hill. The chips are white and not very tasty looking, and the fish is sometimes over cooked, you can taste the fat it's cooked in Sauce portion is a lot smaller, it's only the location keeps it open very disappointed tasteless.

Picked semi-randomly on the way back to the hotel due to visiting Wales for a holiday. Really fancied a jumbo sausage, chips and fruity curry sauce. Was not disappointed. Initially freaked out when I saw the cost of the jumbo sauce ring up on the till, but stopped when I saw the beast of a bit of meat appear. Top food. Top staff. Top value. They say you can only have 2 out 3, this chippy gives you it all.

Great fish and chips. Huge jumbo sausages!! Nearly always has a queue, but the staff are very quick at getting you served.

Service has gone down hill quite a bit lately. Lovely food, but definitely one of the pricier chippies in Caerphilly. Would expect better service for the price. Customers aren’t greeted, staff not particularly friendly, no clear queuing, no signposting that you should order fish and burgers while queueing to avoid extra wait. Easy fixes, train staff better.

Thought I would give a second chance as was the best chip shop around years ago, I waited 25 minutes for 2 bags of chips and a large fruity curry, served everyone quickly but then waiting for the food to be cooked, large curry wasn't enough for one portion of chips so very disappointed.

All fish cooked to order. Really tasty. Generous sized portions for chips. Will look forward to our next visit..

Staff and good top notch 💯 buy £3.20 for a jumbo sausage and batter 😲😲😲

Well where to start I went there yesterday on a Sunday as I heard a lot of good things about the place and me and my beloved girlfriend went for gravy and chips 1 tray for each and a sausage in batter large that was about 20 inches long and I eat half of the sausage in batter and saved abit for my dog because she loves it but wouldn’t eat it for some reason so my mum said oh I’ll have it she eat it and later that night me and my mother are sat up spewing our guts up constantly feeling spiny and faint headed and I passed out this morning and now I’m in hospital many thanks for serving rank sausage THE FISH FACTORY much appreciated food poisoning for the whole family WOST MEAL EVER

No chips ready as server shouts to the one who cooks how many portions she wants he cooks then they are put in a silver tray on counter and the words of the woman serving ....got to be quick before they go cold ....I've worked in a chippy and this is not the way to go ...this place was one of the best now I won't go back

Went to shop and order food for my staff, got back to office to realise that part of the order was missing. Sent a member of staff back to get missing order, only to be belittled while the shop staff checked their cctv, no apology for the mistake. Very rude.

Phoned at 6:25pm and were told that they did gluten free fish and chips. Got there 7:01pm (quite literally as I have a text to my partner giving him my order) and queued for a couple of minutes and were told they stopped at 7pm. They would not budge on making an allowance for being ONE MINUTE late. My partner said ‘did you not think to tell me this on the phone?’ (We drove from Church Village). They missed out on £50 order. I’m pretty sure the owner was not there making this decision. This for me is very poor customer service.

Wow!! Words that will never leave my mouth....WHAT A SAUSAGE! huge isn't the half of it!!, chips served were nice and hot and fresh (which makes all the difference!!) Served by a young lass who spent most of the time apologising for the delay, don't worry hun, it was worth the wait!! Parking is a bit dubious as its on one of the main roads. 9 out 10!! Highly recommend!!

Food is good but service is very poor. Telephone orders are priority meaning you can wait in the shop for 15 min before getting served. Shame there is no organisation, the girls seem to be doing their best but it’s failing.

Extremely tasty fish and chips, made more special by being gluten free which means my daughter (who has coeliac disease) could also enjoy freshly cooked fish and chips. Good selection of other food and generous portions. We phoned our order through so it was ready and waiting for us when we arrived. We'll definitely enjoy it again another time.

The Fish Factory has to be one of the best if not the best Fish and Chip shops that I've ever used and tastes. I had a simple jumbo sausage and chips with a Chinese curry which tasted absolutely amazing. The jumbo sausage has to be the biggest of sausages that I've ever seen. Reasonably priced and very helpful and friendly staff. I'd certainly recommend this establishment to anyone.

Had to wait a while for the fish which is normal in any shop. The chips are lovely but could do with better portions. Service was friendly and love how they still followed covid rules.

Tried because people raved about it. Not as good as I'd hoped. Less than average, but not bad. Just nothing special. Small portions, especially for the price & staff were a bit miserable too. Wouldn't go back.

Chips are hit and miss sometimes they are cooked well soft and fluffy in the middle with a little Chips edge here and there. But then a lot of the times they are hard in the middle pale in colour not good. The portions a 50% smaller then what they should be so if your hungary I would buy 2 portions as a large is like a small medium. Not the most welcoming of staff either 😕 shame as the decor is pretty 👌.

Had to queue outside in the rain while the ones inside were served at a snails pace and only 3 allowed in at a time, with telephone orders just walking in front of you. Worst system around. Best go to the one at cwrt Rawling, much faster service there.

This is my favourite takeaway, the food is just amazing whatever you have. Their cod fillets are lush and the batter is not thick and greasy.

It's busy during opening hours, so I suggest you phone and collect. I had to wait 20mim but it was worthwhile. Staff are curtiouss, quick serving and above all the premises are clean. A recommended food pit stop for travelling tradespeople.

What a lovely meal I had chicken burger with salad and home made onion rings lush.

Social distance is in place, it's very clean and sanitised ok you do have to wait a little while even when u phone your order through but the food is awesome

Love the fish and chips here. Size of the bags of chips has significantly decreased which is annoying.

Be prepared for a short wait as all fish is cooked to order. Easy click and collect service available during the restrictions due the Covid-19 pandemic.

Have a chippy tea with my grandchildren every other Friday. Really good value for money. Chips are always just right and the fish is cooked to order. I always have haddock and that is always lovely. Give it a go for a treat.

Me and one of the boys had a share box for our tea and fair play it was unbelievable quality for a tenner, we are not easily satisfied hunger wise and this filled us up while tasting delicious at the same time. Highly recommend
