Rasul Spa break for a birthday treat. Not too busy at the spa. Robe and towels provided. Extra towels, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion available after the Rasul session. £25 per person allowance towards dinner included in price Staff very helpful and attentive. Stayed in room 105, ground floor room with small outdoor patio area with 2 chairs facing the putting green. Tea, coffee and biscuits in room.

Good check in. Nice room. Breakfast was good. One issue was the car parking. Wow! I appreciate that there is an overflow, but the main park is certainly interesting. Thank you for having us.

Went to the spa and had a massage with the package I had. Everything was really nice, staff were friendly and accommodating. The changing rooms and pool area was nice and clean. I also had the Sunday lunch which tasted amazing. I would love to come back again at some point.

Fabulous afternoon tea overlooking the rolling greens of the golf course. Rasul mud treatment after and cooled off with use of the spa facilities. Thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon. We look forward to our return..

Disappointed spa day... We booked spa in Dec 2024 for March 2025 only to get there and be told was not booked in and no therapist available. We were offered free facilities of pool etc and a lunch. After using pool, mud bath we decided to not go for the lunch as we didn't want to return so asked for a full refund, only to be told we could only be refunded for 2 as the other was a birthday voucher and they don't refund vouchers. ( I cannot see that in any of their terms/ conditions. ) we paid £109pp not cheap. Asked to see manager (Mr B D Santos)who was a waste of time, absolutely disgusting attitude and very unprofessional, dress code terrible. It was like they had done us a big favour giving us use of facilities/lunch which was in our package to start with. We travelled a hour, babysitter for my daughters children, petrol. A wasted journey and will definitely not be returning.

Travelled all the way from Canada, no one at reception at 8pm to check us in. Restaurant very old and shabby we canceled our dinner reservation to go somewhere nicer, definitely not award winning standard. Booked a spa treatment could only get 30 mins were told none of us could use the pool and facilities because our treatment was after 10.30am checkout. Asked for a robe we were told NO as our treatment was only for 30 mins( WHICH WAS ALL WE COULD GET BTW) so we had to sit in the room with other people in robes but we had to sit in our clothes and outside shoes on. Not relaxing or welcoming at all terrible experience . Bfast was not good crap service and food I would never recommend this place to anyone it is NOT like the pictures and definitely Not 4 star

Our evening was pretty spectacular, what with meeting Mark Williams, Steve Davis and Dennis Taylor, all true legends in my book. However, our afternoon tea was tainted because of how extremely cold it was whenever anyone left to leave. We didn't say anything at the time as the establishment was packed and we did not see any other seating, plus we didn't wish to have a confrontation ahead of our special night. On a different note, the food was actually wonderful and an absolute treat, just a shame how cold it was.

We went for Sunday lunch. Lots of piping hot meat and veg. Great veggie option. Reasonably priced and fantastic service. Location is stunning. Highly recommended.

I love Bryn Meadows! I have never stayed here personally but I have plenty spa days and treatments would highly recommend!! I have been here a few times now for their Sunday Roast with family and friends and impressed every time, the food is delicious, big portions, flavour city and just a lovely atmosphere in the seating area of Blas restaurant. The pricing is also great, only £30 for 3courses and I think £25 for 2courses. So worth it for a nice few hours out :)

Had a cracking night for the Denis Taylor and Steve Davies however £5.50 for a can of strongbow I think is disgraceful not even a full pint…. Big let down by Bryn meadows golf club !!!!!!!

First visit to check it out before a return - wow proper hidden gem!

The location is nice enough but was left very disappointed by the service we received at the restaurant for Sunday lunch. I found it very strange that a waiter spilled gravy on my toddlers coat (on the inside fluffy part) and didn't even apologise. I understand service is hard so I said "don't worry it can be washed" and he just walked away. I kept waiting for him to come back with a cloth or something or an apology but he never returned. I've been to similar places in the past where family members have been the subject of such spills and the restaurants have always been far more apologetic and wanting to make up for the mistake. Mistakes happen, but it's how you deal with them that makes the difference! Wouldn't come back again due to this experience.

Nice clean place. Decent sized rooms. Let down by the food. Veg options were mixed with meat options and even shares the same serving utensils. Staff unable to provide additional utensils for veg food.

We didn't stay the night so gave the rooms 3 as had to leave something. My review is based solely on christmas lunch. We booked the lunch which was serving from around midday untill 5pm last booking. Never book the 5pm booking. Staff obviously coming to the end of their day and you could tell the staff were losing the will. Old lady kept pretty much throwing plates down into the table spilling contents everywhere. The food had also been stood there all day too. As we were the last sitting for lunch, the mangled left over end bits of the meats were served. The other veg had dried out. Yea it wasn't good to be honest. I have heard good reviews about food here so I'm guessing our crappy experience was down to being the last sitting before lunch turned over to evening menu. Lesson learned Bar staff were great. Decent selection of drinks..

Absolutely stunning place. Rooms are stunning, beautiful views outside, beautiful food. Would recommend spa/ massage so relaxing.

Generally scruffy with a huge lack of maintenance, quite low rent, obviously relys on golf n weddings to stay afloat. .

Great stay! Reasonably priced. Nice leisure facilities, rooms are nice - could do some a little modernising but great views over the golf course and surrounding areas. Very comfy king bed. Staff are welcoming and friendly. Breakfast was lovely and catered for vegetarians and vegans. Would stay again

Just spent two nights plus golf here with 22 other golfers. A fabulous experience. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble for them. Lovely views from our rooms. Great sitting out areas from our bedroom The Winners bar was a great place to be in after golf and when there are so many of you. I would really recommend Bryn Meadows for a golfing weekend away

Prompt correspondence prior to booking. Pleasant welcome. Quick and consistent service. Friendly staff eager to meet customer requests. Rasul treatment is to die for! Highly recommend. Lovely spa with excellent facilities. However, there was insufficient attention paid to the wet tiles around the pool which led us to have a few near misses! Do take a water bottle with you too as the water fountain had a low flow and was a tad grim to the eye! Rooms cleaned and prepared to a high standard. Comfortable bed, spacious and lovely views from the balcony. However, it was missing feminine products if I'm being really picky. Delicious food and coffee at the Blas Restaurant. Good breakfast, but quite basic and bland options if you're not fancying the cooked breakfast. All in all, another wonderful stay at Bryn Meadows. We would definitely return. Thank you very very much!

I would not be visiting this place again as they charged us when we got out of the place for late check out which we already paid the day before. Went back in and they said it’s all sorted and will get money back! Called up after 7 days and they said they are refusing to give the money back. They only charged the card when we left. So don’t give ur card details when u get there as they will just take extra money off your card when you are gone. It is expensive as it is to stay for a night and the room wasn’t even that nice! Also since going here my boyfriend has gotten really ill and doctors reckon it is from the swimming pool . Just be careful guys!

Stayed a few times, very friendly staff

Daughters wedding. Music on usb . They given excuse for not returning it, locked in safe, person not here to open it. Then Evert time phoned different excuse every time. Months on still no usb. It was a very useful dual usb C & A. Bunch of thieves. That was on top of cold children meals and having to fetch drinks from bar 100 yards away (leave venue 100 yards into other bar,back to venue)

I was treated to a spa day by a lovely friend. The professionalism of the wonderful young lady who gave me the neck, shoulder, and back massage and facial was outstanding, it was my first time, and I felt very self conscious as I'm a bigger lady. My treatment was at 1 pm on Sunday, 28th July. I can not remember her name... She said I had a lot of stress and knots, and I felt so relaxed afterwards. Thank you so much.

Our stay was a disappointment to our previous visit. Rooms need updating and access is not helpful for wheelchairs or people with walking problems. Too many steps, no easy access will not be returning.

Good quality afternoon tea today. We found it very family friendly with our 10 month old baby. Other guests were lovely and the staff were very professional and accommodating.

Had a two night golf break, couldn't fault anything, food was excellent and bar prices were very reasonable, can't wait to go back.

Went there for a wedding, lovely air conditioning and amazing staff.

We stayed here overnight as we were attending a family meal ( see below regarding food) The room was lovely & clean with plenty of cupboard space. A beautiful location.

Came here for a spa day with my mum! Good range of facilities (hydrospa and jacuzzi, and aromatherapy and relaxation room was a nice touch). We found the sauna and steam room a bit small but lovely and clean all the same. The only small negatives were the edges of the pool could have been cleaned a bit more, the jacuzzi was a bit fiddly to turn on and the steam room light was broken - but none of these negatively impacted our experience! Everything else in the pool area was functional and clean, good temp to jacuzzi and hydrospa. Good amount of sun loungers and the view of the fields out of the windows was beautiful with the sun shining in. The changing room facilities were quite small, but it made up for it with the rainfall showers being nice and hot, everywhere being clean, and use of amenities like free hairdryers and swimming costume dryer. We were also given free robes, slippers and towels with our spa package! The spa staff were all friendly and attentive, and our treatments were amazing! My mum had a massage with Stacy and I had an express facial with a blonde girl who I cannot remember her name, but she was really nice and made me feel really relaxed. The ambience in the treatment rooms were incredibly relaxing also. We also had £25 food voucher each at the Blas restaurant which came with our package. All of the wait staff were very friendly, and our waitress Caitlin was very attentive! The restaurant was not overly busy when we sat down, more customers started filling in as we were eating but it wasn’t overly loud. Only slight negative was we were asked what we wanted to drink as soon as we sat down, so make sure you have a look at the bar before you get to your seat. Really good selection of spirits and wines, which were surprisingly really affordable. The food was absolutely incredible, and I highly recommend the rump of lamb main and the deep fried halloumi starter. The portions are on the smaller side but it tastes so good that you savour every bite. We found the crab and avocado tian a bit gritty, and we could only really taste the crab but still tasted nice. I had the elderflower panacotta for dessert which was a unique and refreshing end to our experience. My mother had the red berry crème brûlée which also tasted nice. Overall, I highly recommend this experience and it’s a perfect gift for a loved one!

Didn't stay but have had food and glass or two of wine fantastic views over golf course and valley good selection of food nibbles to main meals to cream teas

Gorgous service was brilliamt hotel rooms was beautifull

I did not stay in the hotel, I just played golf there with some members. The golf course was in good condition considering the weather we have had. It is well worth a visit and is not an easy course to navigate around. In general the course is very much worth playing and the members were great, friendly and knowledgeable. I'm looking forward to them visiting us at Brynhill Golf Club ⛳️. The food and drinks are certainly not cheap. Even the members of the club think they are too expensive as they focus on the wedding business rather than the golf members.

On May 4th 2024 we celebrated our mother's 90th birthday. Firstly in The Barn with Bargoed Male Voice Choir as entertainment and secondly a delicious meal in The Beacon Suite. Initially there were a few hiccups which were resolved perfectly. Both rooms were set up beautifully, staff and service were very attentive and a wonderful evening was had by all. Thankyou Kristina.

Nothing too much trouble, great quality food. Good price for the Sunday lunch we had today. Staff very attentive without "hovering". Lovely views over the golf course if you're sat in conservatory. Only things being really picky would be, golfers walk right past your window peering in. I'm not bothered but some might. The pork belly could have been grilled off before serving to crisp up the crackling. Would definitely recommend & return though! 👌🏻
