The staff here in Monmouth are absolutely lovely and really accommodating. A great experience while having to work from a wifi spot whilst away.

What a find, a busy store, but all working hard to keep the place clean. There were a few places to sit downstairs, but loads more upstairs which were better. Lattes were of Costa Coffee standard.

it's a shame this is a chain coffee shop and not independent very friendly and helpful staff

I love the Monmouth Costa coffee especially the manageress bry and her lovely team they are always smiling....its always clean and tidy and most of all good coffee...the brie baguette is lovely followed by the carrot cake... best around it makes for a perfect day thank you everyone

I visited this costa on friday and Saturday last week with my partner. The best service i have ever had at a Costa by a country mile. The girls serving are so friendly which makes the coffee experience even nicer. Thanks ladies:)

Like the majority of corporate chains, "once you have been to one, you've been to them all", that is apart from the staff. I wouldn't normally review but the guys here, especially Bryony, are exceptional.

Absoluetly incredible and quick service. The reason I wrote this review was because a rather rude man came in and was not listening to the employees wishes to keep near the desk they handled it really well and lady in charge was extremely nice to me and my friends 😁😁

Attempted to visit for a coffee and a sandwich. Had to download Costa’s app for Track and Trace (apparently the NHS Track & Trace is good enough for the Costa) . Did this reluctantly, was then informed that each person had to show ID. Not aware of this being a legal requirement to have a coffee so went elsewhere

Always feel welcome. The food and coffee fresh and delicious. The staff friendly and helpful. Cleaning welcoming environment. Good Covid19 standards in place.

Staff lovely burnt my sarnie but we laughed and they replaced it no problem. Warm and happy atmosphere.

Great friendly staff. Ever so helpful. Was clean and well managed. Drinks were made very very well. Immeasurably better than the costs in Ross on Wye and other big brand name stores in Monmouth.

Everyone at this Costa is absolutely fantastic, they are friendly, welcoming and make great coffee every single time. No other coffee shop compares in my opinion! They even double cup my every order after I asked for it one time 🥰

Called at Costa after reading about the Chancellors Eat Out to Save. Designed to help businesses which were hit by Covid. I requested to sit at the open air table outside their door. I was not told that this made my order a "take away" and thus exempt from the half price offer. The female staff member was quite dismissive and said "It isnt my fault you didnt tell me you wanted to eat in." I had told her colleague! Shocking attitude. Wont be goibg back there!!

Called at Monmouth Costa this lunchtime. There was a short queue but there were limited tables inside and an empty table outside the door. I had left a valuable ebike outside, so asked the male behind the counter if I could order my meal and sit at the outside table. My toasted sandwich and iced coffee arrived and I expected a reduction in view of the Chancellors Eat Out and Save plan, this being Monday 3rd August. I was charged full price. I asked why I was not being afforded the Eat Out and Save option, and the female cashier was very dismissive and said You didnt say you were eating in. Its not my fault. It doesnt apply to takeaways. I said, I had already spoken to your colleague and said I was sitting on your outside seats. She would not budge and was quite dismissive and unhelpful. I will not be returning to Costa.

Very friendly counter staff. Nice premises with window tables, all well kept and clean. Convenient mid High St location near car parks/on street parking.

The Flat White (Columbian blend) was excellent.

Coffee and tiny Bakewell tarts. Expensive. They said, we have a new Columbian blend, only 25p a cup extra. Are you kidding, that makes coffee beans more expensive that gold. I am rapidly going off Costa, must be the recent takeover.

The welcome like the service was as you would expect from a well run Costa. The hot chocolate is more than good, and the chocolate cake was fresh.The table was clean and the floor tidy. I very pleasant stop, especially as it was pouring outside.

I’ve been visiting this cafe over the last few weeks on a Saturday morning and even at 9am it’s fairly busy. The girls are extremely bubbly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The toasted sandwiches are amazing and the coffee is always hot. If you grab a window seat it’s great when the sun is out. Price wise it’s cheaper than some and dearer than others, but in my opinion the atmosphere makes it worthwhile. I’m a definite return customer and having tried Costa Coffee at Alicante Airport last week my guess is the management certainly know how to employ the right people so thumbs up from me.

We visited Costa near closing time and we received good service. No issues with the coffee and I thought the interior of the coffee shop was much nice than other branches I have visited. On leaving I was concerned by the state of the covers pulled over the fridges as they were covered in mould, this didn't create a very good impression and it wouldn't take much to replace them.

Only sold coffees, teas and drinks and food. Couldn't find what I wanted

Early morning relaxing coffee time spoilt by loud swearing of customer interacting with staff, general talk but bad language being use. ( by the customer not staff) but never the less I think the staff member could of told him quietly not to swear as they do seem to be friendly and is a regular . This happens quite frequently .

I am on a bus tour and call in at this café for a bite of lunch. The packaged roast chicken salad sandwich is fresh and delicious, and I enjoy the Millionaire’s slice. My cappuccino with lots of froth is perfect. The café has plenty of seating and a quiet atmosphere. On reflection, the most memorable part of my visit is the friendly Natasha!

Nice place now the refurbishment have been made , also good cup of coffee pleasant staff nice cakes as well to have with your coffee can get very busy when coach parties come to the town

Lovely little coffee shop centered in a busy high street

OK, I know that is weird, but all Costas service great coffee and treats so what's the difference? This one has a great outlook onto a busy thoroughfare, great for people watching. Inside the walls are surrounded by a chunky oak frame giving a lovely rustic feel to the place. Locally sourced I hope.

Fab coffee and accomodating to my noisy 2 year old

Been coming here for coffee since having an operation and the staff have all been wonderful- clearing a table for me and bringing the coffee to the table, ensuring i have been comfortable. Lovely genuine smiles (unlike the behaviourly conditioned McSmile) and and willingness to go the extra mile/ millilitre.It really doesn't seem like a chain here.Coffee is great- as you would expect. I also bought a gift-card for a Big Issue person during the cold spell and they reassured me that there policy is to let people in that had been gifted a coffee. So, affluent Monmovians -what's stopping you !

Great location, clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and professional. They go above and beyond to help their customers as I witnessed yesterday, a rarity in this say and age. The selection of various food stuff and other items was fantastic, and the flat white coffee was spot on. Great location in the town, outside steering to soak the rays on sunny days... Perfect

I love going to Costa but they will not give me an extra t bag now as the tea is so weak and as I only drink tea I either have to take an extra t bag in with me or not go at all. Sorry Costa.
