The best restaurants in South West Scotland

Not many tofu options in the area, was happy to find Salt & Chilli Tofu and Satay Tofu on the menu which were both very good.

Was not buying to night but wife decided to drive through Chicken Royale is still number one meal & however the chips for the second time are very poor. Not cooked enough and no flavour really when this happens best just go back to `McDonald’s as in my opinion the chips are really good when Burger King gets it right but when they’re wrong they soggie and tastes . Staff letting the team down selling under cooked chips only happens now and then and usually when caring food out that why we always site in and every time get carry out its a hit or miss usually miss If you have a blue light card you get 10% discount at BK We go to BK at least once per week but could be cutting back to monthly if Chios don’t improve quickly

Been a loyal regular of this place for a year and a bit now, more or less always get the same order and they still manage to make it wrong every few weeks. They will compensate the first few times but out of pocket with no dinner tonight so loyalty only goes so far here. Save yourself the hassle and find somewhere else. Front of house typically lovely, no idea what goes on in that kitchen. Picture would have been attached if the meal wasn’t in the bin. Won’t be gambling on my dinner again.

Just popped in here for breakfast and wasn't disappointed. The staff were lovely and so eas the food.id definitely return.

Food was fresh and delicious staff were friendly and chatty, all in all we enjoyed all our food and would highly recommend

Ordered chicken fried rice with ham and peas paid extra for the privilege and thin noodles..... got it home and there was no peas and it was thick noodles. Never be back again always check ur order before u leave

1 of the best coffee in Swindon I have for very long time. I love you coffee and and come back now every time. A little 1 have pizza good as well

Came late it was cold missing an item

Disgusting food and service is awful. Asked 3 times for a drink then got told there was only 1 person behind the bar (not my problem) to then have the drink arrived and slammed on my table with sheer anger. Chicken burger main course was chewy and horrendously overcooked. My friend then didn’t get her dessert after asking for it at the same time as the rest of us. Won’t be back ever again.

Honest review.... Breast of Chicken curry, tiny wee bits of diced chicken, with salty soggy mushroom in awful "curry" sauce, never tasted anything like it . Chips n cheese was cold, wet chips with barely no cheese. Definitely not worth the money I paid... Will never be back

Visited this restaurant after seeing it on TV. All I can say is the food is really poor and not at all what I was expecting. Cumberland sausage is nothing like Cumberland sausage. It is more like a processed herby hot dog sausage. The burger was under seasoned and had watery fluid running out of it which had sent all the bread soft. The chips were like frozen oven chips and really disappointing. Such a shame as the staff were lovely…. But I really would give it a miss - there are far better eateries in Kendal.

Collected a large pizza and when I got home noticed the pizza was completely burnt and not edible. I phoned the restaurant right away to complain and was dismissed with a ‘will call you back later.’ Still awaiting a response. Completely unacceptable. Shocking customer service from owner.

It's great to see a small local business open and seemingly doing well during these troubled times. However.....four of us bought coffees here a couple of weekends ago on a lovely sunny spring day. Unfortunately similar to many coffee shops they were luke warm which spoiled our enjoyment as we were looking forward to them during our long walk beforehand. If you want a proper hot tasty coffee in Ayr you can do no better than Pandora and Cafe 51.

No toast with breakfast,got a kids meal instead of a adults.doughnuts were hard had to ask for milk with tea,not what it used to be.

I went in for lunch and was very disappointed……the soup was tasteless , the bacon in my roll was not well cooked….l will not be back….
