Divito's in South Lanarkshire

Ordered a takeaway from here put half my order in . Had to be called back by a staff member as there was someone screaming and shouting in the back ground! the young girl who took my order was very apologetic to me and called me back within a few minutes was trying to make a card payment the girl was covering the phone I think to block out the shouting a few times .. you can't be doing that when customers are on the phone I would of wrote a just eat review but I ordered on telephone might leave a comment on there Facebook page apart from that food has lovely fast and warm

Clean, tidy and all Covid precautions taken. Add to that freshly prepared food and good quick service, a good selection and helpful staff.

Wooohhooo didnt think it could get any worse!!! 3rd Time ordering and it's even worse!!! Nearly 3 hours late!!!! Food cold!!! AVOID !!!!

Online order at 7pm. Order delivered at 8.30 minus pizza. Cold pizza arrived at 21.54. Took another 10mins to heat my oven so i could eat it hot. £20, not worth the wait, no money back or free order offered. Havent ordered for ages because something similar happened before. Wont be ordering again. Its not possible to give zero rating. Ridiculous.

This is the worst chip shop ever keep saying I wont be back got a delivery to day we didn't here the door wven though it was left open only noticed it on the steps when my husband went to the bathroom dinner was stone cold not going back

having been a customer of many years always find food lovely crisp freshly made and a welcoming approach from staff who work hard to clear queues and satisfy needs.

Had a delivery from here recently for the first time and was impressed by the taste ! I usually try another shop fairly close to them but after waiting an hour and forty minutes with them decided that we were trying another place. Now kebab meat and chips is fairly straightforward to most but if the kebab meat tastes like “ auld rubber gloves” when your chewing it then there’s something seriously wrong and before you ask have I tasted auld rubber gloves , I’ve only been told what it tastes like by some crazy person ! Anyway back to the review ! So the kebab meat was cut slightly finer than I’ve had elsewhere and that’s a bonus in my book ! There was just enough kebab meat to settle my appetite and the chips were good as well. This is by far the best kebab meat I’ve had locally and will be ordering again from this place ! Good job guys !

After having been to divitos previously and having a pleasant experience, I was really disappointed with this visit . Let's start with the queue, 30 minutes for food in a chip shop these days is completely unacceptable, it was completely unorganised and a terrible atmosphere .Closer to the front of the line and it was apparent that a fryer was broken and they were attempting to fry all food , INCLUDING FISH , in the same remaining fryer .Which makes the fact that my fish supper was soggy and had a strange taste to it once I finally got it home. Disgusting , especially considering the price . I will not be returning to divitos in Burnbank ever again , and suggest you find a more professional chippy for your fish needs in future

After reading reviews I decided to try Divitos, sorely disappointed. Fish paste was soggy and pale and the chips were soggy as well as bland. On a better note the pickled onions were excellent. Won’t be back

Terrible staff with attitudes very rude woman came in for a pizza crunch and you would think I was stealing it from her I need that for my deliverys!!!! ( wow!The face on her) half my order was already prepared then she was expecting me to wait even longer! Very rude shaking head terrible attitude your staff reprecent your company your brand sort it out divitos

During a trip to Hamilton where our son has recently bought his first house, my wife and I went in search of something quick to eat on Saturday night. Some will argue that this is not in Hamilton at all but in Burnbank which was a mining village before being swallowed up by its big neighbour. Glasgow Road is not short of takeaways but just looking through the window was enough to make us think it was a professionally run outfit. The shop was busy, not only with customers but with a steady stream of home delivery drivers and looked bright, freshly decorated and totally spotless. Behind the counters, there are separate counters for pizza and chip shop offerings, everyone seemed to know what was required of them and everything moved smoothly.We ordered a pizza and a bag of chips. Not everyone can fry chips but these were good. Nice golden colour, crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside and not greasy. Refreshingly, the pizza base was made from fresh dough, worked by hand in front of us. A real traditional base, not a bought in biscuit type so common these days. Divito's is not in the Michelin Guide but it is a great local chippy and it was the best pizza we have had for years.

Divitos amatriciana pizza remains a family favourite, with a light crispy base. The best pizza I've had in a long while.

Esperé exactamente 2 horas para mi comida se entregan y mi pizza y patatas fritas eran de piedra fría y la carne de la cena no era mucho mejor. Phoned an order for a kebab my daughter was picking up for me. Gave them my instructions how I wanted it, no salad, chicken in the bread, with extra sauce on the kebab and not separate. told her twice to make sure she new what I wanted and asked her to confirm to me the same due to previous mistakes. When my daughter arrived home it had the handwritten order taken by the *hole who took my call it said LTC sauce and my name and number nothing else, complete disregards for any requests I made and the one half full tub of sauce was separate. Too dry to eat!!! but the two dogs were well fed. Honestly customer service is shocking, They should not allow some of their employees to answer the phone if they are not capable of taking an order and writing it down correctly after being told it twice and also asked to confirm it. champions league final night ruined

Se acaba de mudar a la zona y esta "joya" de Chippie. Se quiere, lo tienen incluido, buñuelos, champiñones con ajo y queso palitos. maltratada Sus pinchos y Pollo Pakora son mejores que los sirve en la India dos comprada justo subiendo la calle. El Calzone Pizza es un regalo especial para el niño nnota: hacer las pizzas ha sido Campeón del Mundo de pizza! ! Nunca tuvimos una mala comida en Divito. El mejor con diferencia de Burnbank; a la reflexión, la mejor en Hamilton. Regale a su paladar y pásate por Divitos. . . . . . . No te decepcionará.PS: vale la pena llamando con antelación ya que este lugar puede llegar a estar muy concurrida. Disfrute!

One of the familys favourite chip shops. Great food and fairly fast delivery. Prices are great too. I am always pleased with their service

No puedo alabar este chips lo suficiente. Alta calidad consistente de pescado cenas. Yo uso esta tienda todos los sábados por la noche, té y nunca me ha decepcionado. Esta noche he aquí el visitante de Italia y estoy a punto de tratar a una cena de pescado tradicional. Hay en ningún otro lugar me plantearía ir a asegurar mis huéspedes disfrutar de lo mejor.

He de decir que esta "fish and chips" es en mi opinión el mejor "fish and chips" de Hamilton. He leído los otros comentarios... y sí, las entregas pueden ser largas, pero eso es a la popularidad del lugar. Si estás en el "fish and chips" usted mismo pidiendo la calidad de la comida y de la porción tamaño son excelentes.

One of the best take away's in Hamilton.The pizza's are of the highest quality, never had a bad meal yet.It can get very busy at peek times due to the popularity of it. If I had one recomndation for the owner it would be to put delivery bikes on the road for speed of delivery as again home delivery times can be lengthy.All in all a great place !!

This used to be the best chip shop around. Now the service is shocking, the deliveries take for ever and the staff are rude. It is s real shame as the food, when right, is good but, these days, they cannot even get the order right at the second attempt! Avoid and go elsewhere...you have been warned!!!

I love this Divitos restaurant - this is the perfect place to grab a fish supper for myself and my fiancé on a lazy day where I don't want to make dinner! Haha! My fiancé is a huge pizza crunch and curry sauce fan - this is the best he has ever had!!! Helps that the owner daughter is my friend but I loved this chip shop before I even became close friends with his daughter!! A nice wee family business! I have ate of this take away since I was 6/7 years old as my mum was a huge west end fan - 22 years later still the best in Blantyre!!!

Been waiting an hour on a delivery phoned the shop to see where it is just to be told they are busy and waiting on a driver coming back. My 2 year old is starving and crying. Defo not happy, will not be using this chip shop again think i'll go to Marinis next time!

I've always came to divitos..their food is so tasty especially the King Rib supper..absolutely glorious & well priced! Best chippy around Blantyre:)!

I would say this is one of the vest chippys out. I always get a pizza crunch and its amazing. Their sausage supper with curry sauce is also good.

When you are looking for a brilliant pizza that beats all the big chains (Pizza Hut, Pizza Express & Dominos etc) then you must try Divito's.Tony's award winning pizza range is one of the finest pizzas that I have ever eaten. Yes it's that good. Absolutely delicious. From Tony's award winning range, my favourite would have to be the Amatriciana (Spicy tomato base, mozzarella, bacon, parmesan & basil). Pizza perfection & made whilst chatting to the award winner Tony himself as he prepares your pizza fresh in front of your eyes.Made with great care & attention. Good chat & a genuine wish that you enjoy the pizza he's made you. For me, Tony is what makes Divito's not just a good chip shop, but a great chip shop. I have also tried the normal chip shop menu in Divito's & from what I have seen in the hot food display cases, not a burnt pie, sausage or burger in sight. Everything cooked till its nice & golden with no black burnt offerings on view.High quality food. Yes it's slightly more expensive than other chip shops, but you pay the extra to enjoy what you are eating. The extra in Divito's is most certainly worth it.Did I mention Divito's chips have always been fantastic anytime I have ordered.Worth travelling from outside Hamilton to sample. Nothing but praise for Divito's.

I only every get the special king rib supper as it's superb. Average priced food. Service has always been quick. Best chip shop near Blantyre.

Service is excellent. Place is spotless.99% of food is cooked while you wait (not long) or has just been put onto the heated counter.Selection is very good and the prices are very reasonable.Recommended.

Watch for dried fish on a Wednesday & Thursday nights - apart from that - his food is very good indeed!

I am a loyal customer to this chip shop however, i ordered a delivery through just eat on a sunday night and the customer service i received due to it taking so long was appalling. Working in a restaurant myself i can fully understand the effects of having a busy shift. i phoned the delivery at twenty to 9 to then wait a further forty five minuets for it to eventually arrive. i phoned and the woman that answered growled down the phone to tell me "pal I'm not the delivery driver am i? how do i know where it is? i phoned prior to this phone call and she said it was on its way so i raised this concern and she kept telling me she can't make the driver go any quicker. there was no apology whatsoever, food was lukewarm and average. the woman eventually ran out of excuses and said here you can speak to my manager. No customer service skills whatsoever. I'm absolutely disgusted and will not be back again.

Took just over an hour to arrive. I called to ask "how much longer" and was advised by a surly member of staff that they were really busy and that order would probably be on it's way. When food arrived it was lukewarm.Food average, customer service terrible.

NEVER AGAIN- went in tonight to collect a pizza which I had asked for kebab sauce to be put on top. It hadn't been done because "They don't do that here". Now am I really asking too much to have some sauce poured on top halfway through cooking? That's what I like and no other shop has ever questioned it. They had put a tub of sauce in the pizza box and charged me 60p for it. When I said the pizza wasn't what I'd asked for the Italian pizza maker guy said that's not how they do their pizzas, I said "Is the customer not always right?" And he replied "No, not in here" absolutely shocking way to speak to a paying customer who's paying good money to have a pizza the way I want it, not how they dictate to me how I should have it. Totally finished with this shop after this experience and I'll be taking the appalling customer service up with the manager tomorrow. Plenty more pizza shops around only too happy to take my money.

Absolutely appalling customer service. Called after 1 hour of no delivery and spoke to a rude woman who said it was next to go, therefore order hadn't even left the building 1 hour after it was made. Eventually turned up 25 minutes after the initial phone call. Order was incorrect and I sliced my hand open on the staples used to keep the bag sealed. Just one mishap after another for a very average meal. Never again.

Best chippy in Hamilton and Blantyre area. Travel from Cambuslang to hear for food. Food is always fresh and warm and great portion size. Cannot recommend enough.

I've used divitos in the last for chippy stuff and had no complaints but on the reccomondation of a friend I ordered a pizza last night. Asked for spicy chicken and sweetcorn which the woman said back and confirmed with me, picked the pizza up and took it home to find no sweetcorn on it. I phoned them up and to their credit they sent the correct pizza out within 30min, the base was lovely and could tell it was homemade however the pizza had brown splats on it which I was told was the spicy sauce...turns out you get normal chicken and they splash hot sauce over the pizza to make spicy chicken!! I like hot and spicy food but this really had me sweating and the salt content of the pizza was so overpowering I actually couldn't taste anything but spice and salt. Shame really because its prob the only pizza you can get in Hamilton with real chicken, not the usual processed rubbish. I'm phoning another one tonight to see if the saltyness was maybe a one off
