a1 Wok in South Lanarkshire

Not many tofu options in the area, was happy to find Salt & Chilli Tofu and Satay Tofu on the menu which were both very good.

When you have driven for 6 hours, your usual Chinese takeaway is shut, and you take the chance of an alternative, place the order, in my case King Prawn balls . When you get home and find that the place have given you prawn toast! Not good!

Nearly 17 pound for 4 small bits of chicken 4 tiny ribs and chips is classed as a Salt and chilly box. Disgraceful. Never again!

2 hrs for delivery ,understand if busy but get another driver if yous can't cope . Last time ordering .

Never change any recipes. Perfect food every time. Dry ribs I'd love a chunk of lemon. King prawn chow mein is the best. Never change

Great food, curry was a bit mild for my taste but everything else was delicious. Quick delivery (especially being a Saturday) and friendly staff. Will order again 😊

Food is ok, but ordering from the app :( Order around 7. ETA 90 minutes, that's long but not end of world. Call them after half 8. To be told app doesn't go beyond 90 minutes. You're another twenty. Call in 40. Yeah your order is on way. 2+ hours. My eldest starts work at 6 am tomorrow. Order at 7, finish 'dinner' at 22:15. Just not anywhere near good enough. An app which has no feedback on delivery times etc, sigh. If we use again, it'll be collection only & order at desk. Bet that is miles quicker.

Waited 2 hours for my meal. Called after 1hr was told 20mins more. They could at least be honest and tell me another hour i could have gone elsewhere. Been using dpr 10 years will be looking elwewhere

We had a delivery on Friday night. Sweet & sour tofu & mix veg satay, everything was piping hot, fresh & delicious. Thank you 😊

Been using this takeaway for years now, favourite dish is special chow mien with gravy. Well it was until today, from placing my order in shop it was handed to me in literally 3 minutes. Got home to find the dish was missing the pork ,chicken and beef. Noodles were awful and had clearly been cooked before order was placed. Meal was disgusting sorry for being so frank . Seriously rank.

Foods usually fine, but ordered on the app and no food appeared! Tried phoning but received no answer.I ordered before 10pm, it showed they closed at 10:30pm

Food good delivery and waiting time are far too long I know the menu was limited due to covid but don't understand why it is still limited as other Chinese takeaways have full menus.

Did not take order correctly from beginning, phoned them back to ask about order and they said on the phone they would replace it for free, drove all the way back to the shop to get charged again, very poor, do not recommend at all, poor customer service and food wasnt great either anyways...

Strongly recommend salt and chilli chicken balls, that’s my favourite!

Dont bother ordering unless you are prepared to wait in excess of 2 hours, if you are lucky! Gave a1 Wok the benefit of the doubt on 2 other occasions but just the same problems. It's a shame as food is nice and the delivery driver is very pleasant.

Nearly 2 hours for a delivery absolutely shocking and they lie and say its leaving now ! Place is a joke they should tell you how busy they are and a rough time on how long it will be ! Ended up telling them to shove it ! Stay away from this place for deliveries !

Waited 2 hours for a curry called back after 1 hour then they kept telling me it was on the way eventually arrived after 2 hours freezing and thick as porridge put right in the bin if u want a good curry use mayson different class Stay away from a1wok

I’m so disappointed my friend and i places our order at 6:26pm and it didn’t come until almost 2 hours later at 8:24. The chips tasted like they had been reheated and the noodles were cold it really wasn’t worth the wait or the money and i won’t order from here again also the woman on the phone was very rude

Chicken boiled behind recognition. Runny tasteless sause and overcooked chips. Over an hour for delivery. Awful.

Best chicken curry I have had for a long time.

Absolutely awful waiting times for home delivery. I understand a weekend is a busy time for any takeaway, but 2 hours and 40 minutes is ridiculous. Girl on phone is so rude as well. Won’t be ordering from here again.

Delivery times for this takeaway are awful. I booked for delivery at 20.15 and was told the food would arrive by 21.00. Phoned at 21.20 to get an update, and was told the driver was literally just leaving. I live 5 minutes drive from the takeaway, so figured it wouldn't be long. Phoned again at 21.45 to enquire again, and was told yet again that the food was literally just leaving. When I pointed out this what had been said before all the excuses came out, with no hint of apology. Food finally arrived at 22.00, by which time I was too tired to eat. We used to use this takeaway all the time, but have had too many delivery stories like this happen. Customer lost.

Bought chips from here tonight and they have gone straight in bin think they have dropped the salt container in them ! Absolutely disgusting

used their app since they've took themselves off of justeat, waited 40 mins to be told my order hasn't went through, tried to phone and went straight to answer machine each time.

Used A1 wok for years, ordered a delivery through just eat and the order came within a good time frame, serving the meal to kids and noticed that a bug was mixed in with the noodles, called up to make a complaint and was told to bag it up and a driver would collect. instead we took it to the shop ourselves and known to be a regular customer the the girl on the desk couldn't have been more apologetic and notified us that a full refund would be made, 5 days later this has still not been paid back, also was informed the manager would call the next day as he or she was not in on this occasion, 4 days later still no feedback either. Will never use this place again.

Used to love this place! Ordered a mushroom curry got home and it was Shrimp! Tried calling but no one answered the phone! I took my meal back I was told "I thought you said shrimp!"🙄( nice apology) Got home to discover they had the cheek to put in the cold bloody rice I had returned! I'm sure mushrooms and prawns are not the same price either! A1 customer service... NOT

Terrible!! I phoned a delivery at 10 to 6. It arrived 7:20 really I wasn't impressed by this. Once food arrived it was cold. And also it's basically right next door. Now you can call this lazyness but me and the wife were having a wee film night. I really would not recommend this Chinese to anyone that wants it delievered. Sorry A1 you've lost a loyal customer really I am annoyed by this time to wait

I was told at 7pm delivery would be an hour. I phoned at 8.30 to find out if it was on the way and was told 20mins. We got delivery at half 9. Would've been fine if we'd been told about the long wait from the start. About the food. Rice ok, curry sauce good. Don't know what the meat was but it wasn't chicken. Never again.
