Eastern Delight in South Lanarkshire

Had a few takeaways over the last year from here. First one was great, subsequent ones haven’t been as good. Tonight’s one is my last from here though. Grizzly meat & chicken along with very mediocre sauces.

Absolutely awful. Worst chinese on the main street. Cold and greasy wont be using again

Really disappointing. Chicken fried rice was bland. Curry sauce tasted powdery. Satay sauce was so sweet & gloopy. Wouldn’t order from here again

Lived here for nearly 30 years and it's my first time trying, only used as we had a just eat voucher. Will definitely be back, peking ribs were perfect. Loved the curry sauce as well and rice and chips both lovely. Will definitely be using them again!

the noddle soup tasted like soapy water for some weird reason the chicken balls were soggy but the chow main was lovely

This was the WORST Chinese takeaway food I have ever had. So disappointed I had to bin it- the chips were soggy and the curry sauce was gritty. Noodles were unexplainable. Waste of money.

Chips were re-heated and all black, no free prawn crackers like other takeaways. A bit disappointing.

Thai sweet chili chicken was bland, also had pineapple in it? And the chicken wasn't in batter like the dish is meant to be. The chop suey sauce was dark brown which was not appealing. Vegetables in both dishes were also bland. Disappointing Chinese to be honest.

Was told it would be 40-45 mins an sit was aver an hour and a half. When it arrived it was lukewarm, prawn crackers were chewy and chips were really not nice. Very disappointing

Food is very tasty, although maybe a little short on quantity. I ordered breast of chicken curry (Chopped) and got 6 smallish cubes of chicken, which was a shame.

My food was on time but when I did get it it’s not even warm and a the crispy curry rolls were soggy. And the price was well over board £16 for dinner for one person 😡😡

First time to order from eastern delight, thought i would try another take away for a change. Normally phone lucky oriental in camby main st or katies in halfway.. Il stick to what i know in future. An appalling delivery of beef curry and fried rice.6 toaty slivers of beef mixed in with rice that wasnt cooked ?.. I was chewing it..when do you ever chew rice ??? Phoned the take away to complain about the meal, tried to ask sbout the lack of beef/hard rice, Was shouted down over the phone. She hung up. I love my take aways... Oriental, katies, oriental garden in carmyle, Many years of great food.❤️, Stay away from this mob... Appalling...

Food was delivered early. Was not good. Singapore chow mein, no green or red chillies or peppers. No prawns. Just a lump of brown mush. Really poor quality.

Enjoyed the Szechuan beef tonight.

Food tasted well off strong tangy taste off both chicken chow meins it wasn't edible both chow meins were thrown in the bin. Usually i love the food from here but something that was in they chow meins wasn't right something was off which caused some stomach upset which resulted in 2 full chow meins being thrown in the bin as they weren't edible 👎 really dissappoined and waste of money.

Wow, first time ordering and it won't be the last. Tried something new tonight, chicken in orange sauce and got a chicken chow mein to be safe to eat if the other dish didn't appeal. Well it was very appealing. Both dishes were so tasty. It encourages me to order again and perhaps try more new things. It is hit or miss in my local area when it comes to Chinese food so I'm very glad to have found a new place. Thanks for the excellent meal this evening, it made my hangry mood disappear 😊

Really enjoyed the food, it seemed like good quality ingredients, and more homespun tasting than a lot of places. Though my favourite thing was the chips and curry sauce, it's not something I usually eat but i loved it! The restaurant called to ask if I'd forgot to order rice etc. as we'd only ordered mains (we had rice and noodles at home) which was a nice gesture. We don't get take out often but this will be the Chinese we go for from now on.

Food was OK. Some meals were enjoyed others were so so. Chios were a bit greasy and the salt n chilli wasn't quite as expected. It was that seasoning on the chips instead of with chilli's ans onions etc.

I hate to do this but my curry went in the bin. The sauce was thick and gloopy and the rice was like stodgy risotto. It wasn't nice at all. I wont be ordering again.

The grub is always good from Eastern Delight. Good quality Chinese food, done the way you expect. You don’t want fancy ingredients on a Saturday night. You want tasty grub, and that’s Eastern Delight’s way.

All the food I ordered had a terrible taste to it went straight into the bin! Also worst chicken balls I've seen and tasted will never order from here again. 5 year old daughter even complained about how bad the chips tasted

Quick delivery of terrible food. Curry paste and three pieces of chicken. Also, all served in one box rather than separate containers. Clearly so they can ram their containers full of rice or chips instead of actual curry. Complete let down.

Honestly the worst Chinese meal I’ve had. Chow meal. And spring rolls swimming in grease…beef curry lump and onions tasted boiled. Szechuan tasteless like gravy with some chillis added.
