Stumbled across lovely Dunure while camping in Ayr and popped in here to grab a coffee and a sandwich. We all absolutely loved it - great coffee, really good food and proper home made chips. All the staff were friendly and smiley, we felt really relaxed and left happy and well fed.

We stopped by for a coffee after a walk and it was really nice. Loved the decor, friendly service, and good coffee. We also got cake too, and it was nice to see vegan options.

Love old diners and spotted this a while ago on my trips down the Ayrshire coast. Birthday day made the excuse to jump in for a get away from the miserable weather pit stop and was treated to a decent all day breakfast, square, link, bacon, black pudding, tattie scone, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried egg and toast with refill coffee, the missus topped hers off wi a caramel cup of suitably gooeyness from Sutherlands cakes.

Very enjoyable and great food. Hosts were friendly and shared stories about the local culture. Recommend!

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Fantastic food and reasonable prices. The restaurant was busy and there just seemed a buzz about the place. Venison empanadas were unreal. The venison haggis was so good I could have ordered a second plate. The wife had the gnocchi which for a starter which burst full of flavour. The pork rib main was very well balanced. The waitress was attentive and knew menu well. We will certainly be back sooner rather than later. A cracking Ayrshire gem

We ordered our meal at 6.45pm and didn't get the starters until 8.00pm. Serving staff came to the table twice to get the drinks order, only 4 of us, and still got it wrong. My meal was a simple Haddock and chips and the fish was overcooked and the chips hard. Not somewhere I'll be going back to.

The room we stayed in within the courtyard felt dated & not very clean. There were marks & stains all over our bed & pillows and the walls had been half painted. The sofa bed was practically in pieces - thankfully we didn't need it. There was no temperature control gauge/air con & the room lacked a mini fridge as well which would have been very handy since we were there two nights. The breakfast set up was terrible - especially for a busy Saturday morning. The breakfast buffet was right next to several entrance ways as well as other tables which meant people were coming in & out causing a jam. Despite being down for 8am, there was barely any food left and the stuff that was there was freezing cold and undercooked ! Pastries were not replaced so there was none on offer, there was no milk but the teas & coffees and people were having to ask staff and the one cup of tea I managed to get was again cold.
