A friendly welcome, lovely atmosphere, great local homemade cakes on the counter... Everyone was spoken to individually by the owner waitress and her husband cook. They really make you feel one of the locals. I wet day to visit the coast and castles, and this is just where you need to stop for good quality food at great prices. Thank you

We stopped by for a coffee after a walk and it was really nice. Loved the decor, friendly service, and good coffee. We also got cake too, and it was nice to see vegan options.

Love old diners and spotted this a while ago on my trips down the Ayrshire coast. Birthday day made the excuse to jump in for a get away from the miserable weather pit stop and was treated to a decent all day breakfast, square, link, bacon, black pudding, tattie scone, mushrooms, tomatoes, fried egg and toast with refill coffee, the missus topped hers off wi a caramel cup of suitably gooeyness from Sutherlands cakes.

Very enjoyable and great food. Hosts were friendly and shared stories about the local culture. Recommend!

We booked a table for four and we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Food was fantastic and it’s great that they cater to those with coeliac disease too. Most items can be made GF (the exceptions were pasta, burgers, pies and haggis) but this left a large varied menu to choose from. Will definitely travel the 1 hour journey just to come back for dinner! Desserts were great too (fish and chips and peanut brittle sundae photographed are GF!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food was lovely, couldn’t fault it! The waiting staff really let the restaurant down, they are not interested in customer service. We had one drink all evening, staff not around to offer more drinks. A smile on any one of them wouldn’t hurt.

We were there for a wedding. We did 2 overnights , we stayed in Annex 2 as did other members of the wedding party with the majority in Annex 3 . All rooms are of a very good standard , clean, warm and a good size. The Hotel itself is " old school " , carpet and wood panels , all in good repair. The Wedding Service was carried out in the Dining / Ballroom it was decorated with taste. The weather allowed the photos to be taken outside , with drinks and canapes served by staff. All in all...an excellent venue for a wedding.

The Coylton Arms is turning into a real favourite of ours. We’ve eaten here quite a few times this year, which included twice in December. It offers an extensive menu to choose from, plus the staff that serve you are always really pleasant and not afraid to offer their opinion on the food you fancy. Prices are very reasonable considering the quality of the food and the restaurant is really nice inside. There is also an adjoining bar if you fancy a wee pre-meal drink. A family run business, well worth a visit 👍

I drive down from Glasgow fairly frequently and I’m grateful I don’t stay any closer as my waistline would be expanding even more rapidly. I love bringing new people with me to introduce them. Not that I need an excuse to visit. Saw the milk vending machines online just after the first lockdown for Covid and have been coming ever since. I always get macaroni cheese - it’s the best. And a big pint glass of milk. Can’t visit a coo farm without getting milk IMO. Brought a friends child with me once - he thought when I said fresh from the cow - they milked one straight into the glass 😂😂😂. When he was informed otherwise he got some and said it was the best milk he’d ever tasted. Never had a complaint about the food or the service and my dining companions have tried various things from the menu with no complaints either. Always have to take cakes to go (along with my milk) as there’s never enough space after lunch has been stuffed in.
