Fabulous service. Menu was fantastic especially the haggis & venison balls and the stovies😋 guests thoroughly enjoyed all of the food and all dietary requirements were met. Highly recommend

Absolutely amazing visit here and can’t wait to go back. Firstly we loved the location and even on a driech day it was warm and inviting. All staff were genuinely polite, friendly and welcoming and delivered great service throughout. We were mostly served by Carol who could teach masterclass in true customer service to many other places we’ve visited. There were a few things we liked. Firstly it was bright, modern and super clean. Secondly we liked that it was lots of little areas which made our visit more cosy and quiet. Thirdly we loved that this is not a haunt for screaming kids and endless pushchairs. We had a lovely, quiet lunch with each food and drink item being absolutely perfect. We opted for a coffee and their soup and sandwich combo. Sandwiches arrived in the freshest bread and came with salad and crisps. I had the Cullen Skink and husband had the lentil soup. Both were piping hot and absolutely delicious. We couldn’t eat another thing by the end but did choose a couple of homemade tray bakes to take away. If you’re looking for somewhere for a lovely lunch out or just coffee and a cake I’d highly recommend here. Food, service and setting were all perfect and can’t wait to go back.

I have never been treated si badly in my life. I arrived at The Cow Shed take away, paid cash, sat waiting 20 minutes for chips and pineapple fritter, then I was told the fryer was full with online orders, so my order wasn't even looked at. All the head fryer said was 'we are busy' with so much contempt. I wasn't rude, I was very respectful, I then asked for my money back as my son was in the car needing ro get home for his dinner, only to be told that couldn't be done as there was no manager. This is not only completely unacceptable but also unlawful and trading standards will be receiving a phone call. I have paid for food that wasn't even being made and refused a refund even though I paid cash. I have never felt so overlook and undervalued in my 45 on this planet. disgusted doesn't even cut it.

This place is a good bit out of the way in the Royal Deeside area, but it’s well worth seeking out for a tasty breakfast or lunch. We stopped off on a Sunday lunchtime. As usual, it was busy. But thankfully, having been here several times, we knew to book. Saw some disappointed looking people who hadn’t. The food here is consistently great. The firm favourite for us, is there soup and panini combo. A true bargain for just under a tenner. What’s so great about it, is that the soups of the day frequently change. On this day, I had the carrot and coconut, my wife had the tomato and basil. Both were fabulous. Bursting with flavour, as we have come to expect. My panini with tomato, pesto, and mozzarella, was delicious. My wife’s roasted vegetable and hummus one, just as tasty. The service here is excellent. The ideal balance of friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. It’s a fairly compact place, with space on the ground and balcony levels, as well as decent sized outdoors area, for summer days, and people with dogs. This is a firm favourite for people in the know. But be sure to book in advance.

Waitress greeted us as if we'd trailed in dog dirt on our shoes. 'Sit anywhere' face of thunder demanded with a dismissive flick of her wrist. Then off she thumped through the swing doors to the kitchen. 'That's anither two in' she barked. That was when we decided to depart. Avoid this place, the welcome is atrocious.
