MOULDY PANINI BREAD!! RIP OFF!! Came here after passing through Banchory after a dog walk…. Bought a bacon and Brie panini, and tuna panini for 7.90 each, a bit of a rip off considering the bacon was not in the slightest bit crispy and felt undercooked. However this was still edible and tasted okay UNTIL! We discovered the mouldy panini bread. Went back with the mouldy panini after we discovered this and was given a 14 pound refund. Not the full refund which is partially why I feel the need to express make a review online. It was extremely expensive and overpriced panini which came with mould, the lady was apologetic and kind however the other male colleague didn’t seem so impressed about me returning the item who was in charge of processing the refund. Will not be returning.

This place is a good bit out of the way in the Royal Deeside area, but it’s well worth seeking out for a tasty breakfast or lunch. We stopped off on a Sunday lunchtime. As usual, it was busy. But thankfully, having been here several times, we knew to book. Saw some disappointed looking people who hadn’t. The food here is consistently great. The firm favourite for us, is there soup and panini combo. A true bargain for just under a tenner. What’s so great about it, is that the soups of the day frequently change. On this day, I had the carrot and coconut, my wife had the tomato and basil. Both were fabulous. Bursting with flavour, as we have come to expect. My panini with tomato, pesto, and mozzarella, was delicious. My wife’s roasted vegetable and hummus one, just as tasty. The service here is excellent. The ideal balance of friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. It’s a fairly compact place, with space on the ground and balcony levels, as well as decent sized outdoors area, for summer days, and people with dogs. This is a firm favourite for people in the know. But be sure to book in advance.

The restaurant and takeaway are both excellent. I am gluten free and the gluten free options on the restaurant menu are the best in the area. There are lots of options and they are happy to talk through the menu to make adaptations. We are also frequent visitors to the takeaway, again because of the gluten free options. I’m allergic to fish too but the gluten free chicken fillets are incredible! The staff are super friendly and the kids menu is great as well with lots of options for the smaller diners!

This was our second visit as part of a tour group. The Brasserie is located with the small number of independent retail outlets at Milton of Crathes, which is also the location of the Royal Deeside Railway. We visited for lunch, where dietary requirements were also easily catered for. The food was very good and the service friendly and efficient for the large party. The brasserie has a pleasant ambiance in keeping with the surroundings, and we would visit individually if in the area.

If visiting the cafe at the front of the building do not order a mocha. It was awful and I had to change it for another drink. I had forgotten that I’d had one there ages ago that was awful too and had to go back. It had virtually no froth on top and was just a cup of dark brown liquid. Not the usual tempting mocha at all. I suspect it was made by hand without the use of a mocha machine perhaps? I usually use the restaurant /cafe in another part of the store and mochas are normal there.

Stop at many hotels around Scotland, this is very well situated in an area with shops bars and restaurants , the hotel itself serves very good food at very reasonable prices , rooms are very well presented and very clean with good facility's, has a well stocked bar and staff are attentive and on hand at all times , hotel rates are very good , will definitely use this hotel again , well worth a visit.

My other half booked B&B for one night, just for the hell of it. I’ve given our stay a 5 ⭐️ review. The setting is lovely, service was excellent, plenty of staff, they were all lovely & very attentive, we also had dinner, the menu is not extensive but the choice was fine and the food when it arrived was excellent, clearly all home made & delicious, the biggest fish & chips I think we have ever seen! 😆 Our room was very snug, barely enough space to walk around the bed, there were tea & coffee facilities in the room but the funky lighting made it a bit difficult to get to the tea tray easily, no chairs, only the bed to sit on and the en suite had a sliding door, which I feel always indicates space is tight. The bathrooom was small but modern, clean and the shower was full sized, the towels were big, soft and luxurious, what more do you need. There were the usual hotel noises from other guests, we could hear those above us walking about, water running, etc. I think we were just jealous because 3 steps and we were in our en suite, 2 steps to the door, no opportunity to move about. 😂 However, come night time we slept really well, not a single noise before 7:30ish and no sound from outside or cars at all. All in all 5 ⭐️ are deserved, despite the small room, we don’t stay somewhere to sit in our room and the service, staff and food were all faultless. Would we stay again -absolutely.

Called for quick snack bacon and egg and sausage roll and coffees . Coffees were nice but everything else poor quality produce in a very dry roll , at least the dogs enjoyed it .it’s a shame as the staff were nice and helpful .
