The best restaurants in Banchory and Mid Deeside Aberdeenshire North East Scotland

Had the most amazing experience yesterday. Whilst this establishment has always been a favourite of mine, the already exquisite standards have been raised yet again which I thought would be impossible given the existing fine cuisine. Very highly recommended. Hats off to Muhammad and his fine team.

After a longer than expected drive through to Banchory, we were delighted to find this dog friendly café with a lovely selection of food and drinks. Soup and sandwich combo is very good value. Water and a bowl of treats for Glen our dog

Great tiny shop serving wonderful hand made pies and other delicacies and coffees .Wide range of up market food on the shelves including bread and farm eggs.Sit outside on the grassy bank on variety of tables and chairs under the shade of a huge apple tree.One of our favourite places to go on a sunny or snowy day .

We visited during the day mid-week, we was quickly welcomed and the staff was really lovely. I really loved how the staff appeared to have a great relationship with locals who must fill their day there - that’s such a wonderful thing! 👏 We couldn’t decide from the menu, there was so much options. Our food was really good, highly recommended! My mozzarella sticks were good but the same as a frozen packet. I did love the dip though. Soup, nachos and spicy burger were good. The burger maybe needs something more, more sauce or cheese etc. The bathroom was immaculate! Thank you for this nice experience.

Very nice staff! Great breakfast, it was delicious and freshly cooked! Cleanliness was not enough… spider webs in the room and other things that were dirty. Room size was good. Unfortunately there is no elevator...

Sometimes there chips are greasy and not fine. It's a hit or miss.

The restaurant staff are very good, attentive and efficient. Highlights of recent meals have been the fish and chips, although the batter is not quite to the standard of previous years and the sticky toffee pudding (always a favourite). An unusual low point was a so called game pie - definately not a pie by any description! The Boat is also a good coffee stop in the mornings, great coffee and lovely scones, we will be back.

Went in to have a breakfast , and Wow , I have been blown away with its quality , It was fantastic value for money , I was asked if I wanted an English or a Scottish breakfast , which showed the 5 star service I was receiving, ….. my English Breakfast arrived quickly , was HOT HOT HOT , and a plate full of yummy morning glory . WELL DONE. Morrisons, I sat and people watched for a bit and I noticed just how busy this week Cafe was , it had older couples eating plate fulls of food , it had work men in for a plate full of food , it had school children in for a plate full of food , everyone was serviced quickly and the the plates was all clean when they left. Now the staff , they really made this cafe , the young lads that was serving and coming out with the food was outstanding , they was all happy smiling and engaging staff members , giving every customer a smile and great service .

Owner/chef is adding lots a new options with the latest menu. Everything we’ve had has been top notch. +1 star for the homemade Korean BBQ sauce 😊

Called for quick snack bacon and egg and sausage roll and coffees . Coffees were nice but everything else poor quality produce in a very dry roll , at least the dogs enjoyed it .it’s a shame as the staff were nice and helpful .
