A nice venue for a party. The place has a big carpark so plenty of space .it aslo has rooms above the lounge .we were there for a party .the hall we were the hall and guest were about 100 .there was plenty of space with a bar for the party and a pub next door the prices were very cheap for beverages so overall a cheap night .its only 5 mins from the main street of banchory .and a good place to have a party

The food is above average but the noise at night is terrible.i had the room above the pub and although the pub closes at 11pm on a Thursday some of the staff and local regulars had a private get together until 2:15am.when I complained to them at 1am they didn't seem too bothered and still continued to play the music loudly and slam the front door when coming in or going out for a smoke.i would not recommend this hotel

Went for a family meal on 17th April and was very disappointed with food. Soggy fish. No veg with stroganoff despite being on menu, sticky toffee pudding was solid (obviously been microwaved). Will be going elsewhere in future.

As a veteran and member of this Scottish Legion. The meals are excellent. The service none better. The young chef produces well thought out selections for a much varied menues

This is a great facility in the town. A comfortable well-stocked bar with great views , lovely food. Fine place to spend an hour or 2 relaxing.

Always treated well with good service and great real ales. Good rates for accommodation even though I have not used them.

Having stayed here before it was a most welcome return for myself and husband. The facilities are very comfortable and local staff exceptional, nothing too much trouble. Accommodation was great, athough some en suite shower rooms may be a little small but absolutely fine. Everything was clean and overall atmosphere homely and welcoming. The meals were wholesome, ample portions and well presented. Would not hesitate to recommend to anyone visiting Royal Deeside either for a meal or accommodation.

Lovely warm old fashioned british legion, country club. Welcoming atmosphere Good banter with locals, food and drink well priced,and of high standard. Did not stay on this occasion but rooms are available, highly recommend to Ex services to join and enjoy facilities at a briilliant location.

I have visited the restaurant here on many occasions over the years, both as a resident in Banchory and latterly as a visitor. The food is always fresh, hot, well presented, inexpensive and the portions are good. The dining room is at the back of the Legion but it's not an issue to have your meal served in the lovely bar. Alcohol is served from the bar and two large glasses of wine cost £6.50 which is very reasonable. My companion and I were able to take advantage of the offer of two main courses for £15, if ordered between 5pm and 6pm, and were each served an excellent portion of freshly cooked fish and chips. The menu is varied and in the past I've been equally pleased with the starters and desserts. The service is always prompt and the waiting staff very pleasant. The meals are good value and well cooked so I will certainly return here.
