Fast Frys in Aberdeenshire

The chippy is just up the road from us but we probably only pop in to get chips once a month to go with a meal we are making. The chips are always good these days, as is the service and the staff are really helpful. On more than one occasion I’ve seen them going above and beyond to help out a member of the public. Also really pleased to see the phasing-out of polystyrene trays and plastic bags in favour of paper and cardboard over the last few years. Fish could always be bigger but you could say that about any chippy these days and the last few fish I’ve had have been really good. Highly recommended.

Love this chipper! Excellent white, black and red puddings, chips and consistently very good. Service great. Worth making a trip to Insch for this, highly recommend.

Been coming here for a while every other week and always pleased with what we get. they do a cracking deep fried pizza supper! Great chippy and friendly place. 🙌🏼 🤩

I ordered from this takeaway for my daughters 18th. I had family and friends over and ordered over 20 suppers. The food was delicious, all hot and ready bang on pick up time. This company was easy to order from and great value for money, will definitely be going back. Great food. Great service.

The cold meat salad is a winner! Couldn't decide what I wanted for supper, with the hot weather I wasn't too interested in the hot food... so when this caught my eye I decided to give it a go and was far from disappointed!! Fantastic selection of meat, and great value for money!! Would highly recommend for the summer evenings. Great service as always

Everything frozen if there was any competition this might make them try a bit harder. Not had a good meal from here since the the early 00's everytime I give it a try again its always a let down.

Fast Fry's is a great takeaway with friendly, helpful staff and good quality food. Wide-range menu, with great prices. Would thoroughly recommend.

Super service, great fish and chips and good compliance. The haddock was tasty and we had it battered. There is a breaded option which I’ll try next. The poor reviews on here are out of date and this is a great wee takeaway.

Moved away from Inch six years ago and miss this chip shop. Popped back recently and ordered what we always used to order, in the hope that they were as good as they used to be, chicken fillets and chips! We were absolutely delighted that they were indeed the same as they used to be and were perfect! Will be driving to Insch from time to time from now on to buy a chicken fillet supper. Chips are excellent too, with good size portions. We also ordered a child fish and chips, which was excellent too and more than enough for a youngster. Excellent, so pleased we called back!

We have had several items from here, great black pudding suppers and good fish, extremely pleased with the mince pies yummy!

Always friendly staff and have a good laugh when go to fast frys. The food is always lovely and never have had to complain. I sometimes find some chippers have greasy food but fast frys have always been really nice. Will definitely go again.

Had the haddock supper! Nice crispy batter, tasty fish. The chips were crispy outside but fluffy inside. Amazing! The service was fantastic and the manager was very helpful and talkative. All about the customer. The price was also a total bonus.

Went in tonight as couldn’t be bothered cooking, fast service, fantastic prices. Manager friendly and very helpful and spoke away. Chipper still hot by the time I got home, chips and jumbo sausage was just how I like it! Would definitely come back and recommend to friends

You’ll wait 20 minutes for your food to cook and when it arrives it will be awful. Most shocking chippy I’ve ever been to. I’ve been several times as it’s the only local chippy but it’s really bad, I’d rather go to Inverurie.

I highly recommend this chip shop, I hadn’t been in for a while and me and the family went in tonight and it was brilliant, all food cooked well, my fish and chips was spot on, the wife’s macaroni pie was great she says, and the kids meals are great too, and for a pretty good price if you ask me, the staff are very friendly and will have a good chat with you, it didn’t take that long to cook about 10 15 mins at the most and that was when there was quite a few people there in.

Called in here on a recommendation, but found it lacking. Half of the chips were enimic, half were black and burnt in places. The fish, although tasty, was flat and expected more for the price. All in all I wasn't hungry when I'd eaten, but it wasn't my cup of tea, unfortunately.

Visited again with my Husband tonight, friendly welcoming service as usual and the food can never be faulted!

We need to support local business to ensure they survive but the quality from this chippy is a bit of a lottery and makes returning difficult. From soggy or over cooked fish suppers to excellent fresh chips. Give them the benefit of the doubt.

This is a good local take-away Fish & Chip shop in Inch. I opted for haddock in bread-crumbs (not batter) and chips and it was fresh excellently cooked and reasonably priced.

Brilliant wee local chipper in Insch. I can highly recommend both the fish and sausage suppers. Slightly above average prices, but nearest alternative at least 9 miles away so what are you going to do?!!

Fry's esta noche visitamos rápido con mi padre y mi hermano, al ser nuevo en la zona no había estado antes, pero sin duda volveremos! Mi pollo hamburguesa era precioso y mi padre y mi hermano convinieron en que sus cenas de pescado cocinado a la perfección. Salsa de curry fue también merece la pena probar y, a pesar de la tienda se llena la comida estaba lista rápidamente. Personal amable y un precio muy razonable.

Decided on a chipper for tea so went to insch as had heard good things about it. Order placed very quickly, staff were very pleasant and talkative and made to feel welcome. Ordered a few suppers and kids meals and to my surprise really didn't take long. Food was still Hot by the time we got home and couldn't wait to tuck in, good portions so definitely value for lonely, chips were cooked lovely and good reviews on the fish and jumbo sausage we had ordered, well battered and tasted lovely. Will definitely make go here each month for a treat as highly delighted with quality of food and service

Stopped in past this chip shop on my travels and was very glad of the find.Fish was good to order and was perfect. My chum had the chicken fillets and thought they were awesome.The chap behind the counter was very helpful, recommending pointing out another route home!

Must be the worst chipper in Scotland. Grumpy manager fish never battered right, chips over cooked and tasteless.

I have been to this chip shop often, and food is always to a good standard, staff are polite, friendly and outgoing. The building is always clean and tidy. It would be nice to see a slightly larger menu but the options available are all fantastic. Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for good food and great customer service.

Not being from Insch my mum directed me to this chippy as she used to live here when she was younger. I had fish&chips, the fish was very meaty however it was just too greasy for my liking. I felt like it could have sat a little longer to drain the grease from the fish. The chips were the same, however it wasn't enough to stop me from eating it (I was starving having travelled from Montrose) as I did finish the fish just not the chips.

I'm not far from Inverurie, Turriff and Huntly. Insch chipper is closest but it's always my first choice. Everything I've had has been great (white pudding, black pudding and jumbo sausage) and the chips are just as they should be. Reasonably priced and the service has always been good.

Had a very good Fish Supper & King Rib Supper all under a tenner. first class service from the staff & friendly.

Been here a few times not exactly fast service usually have to wait 20-30 minutes for food to be ready but most of the time the food is good. Phone ahead instead of waiting as can be busy in the evening.

This is a nice small local chips shop ,but with the choice of any of the larger chip shop chains and always good price

I stopped at this Takeaway with my family (Husband and Daughter) last night and had the best supper ever!All three meals were cooked fresh and to perfection with NO sign of a Microwave being used!!!!!!! The staff were all polite and dealt with our order promptly - NO waiting around !!!!Very Good Value.Congratulations on a great Service - we will be back!!!!

This is the best chippy around. Staff always have a smile on their faces and the fish is great. Portions are generous and the batter is fried to perfection. I recommend this place to all my mates and they all love it too.

Stopped here to grab some food in a rush and it hit the spot pretty well.Opted for a spicy haggis supper and standard haddock supper and both were cooked really well. The haggis was excellent but it might have just been because I have been away from Scotland for a while.Would happily visit again if in the area.

Have always used this chipper. Fast friendly and perfect for a weekly treat. Food is fantastic and the happy banter. Staff are always friendly. Highly recommended when in insch.

Went to this chipper as a last resort as we were unable to travel to Huntly or Inverurie. Burger bun was drenched and soggy, lettuce brown and thrown on! Awful quality..everything seems to be microwaved, will never be visiting here again and recommend you travel a few extra miles to elsewhere instead of wasting money on that disgrace! Also got over charged.

Pretty terrible its like buying micro meals but more expensive and you have to wait for 20 minutes. Would definitly not reccomend better off going to the chinese for chips aswell atleast they are cooked properly

Batter always soggy everything else microwaved and very poor quality products used. Even got a nice still frozen bun for a burger. Definitely worth the trip to Huntly or inverurie.

If you like good take-out food and top quality banter then this is the place to go. Always a friendly welcome and staff very accommodating. Excellent variety on the menu and great prices. One of the best around.

Wouldnt know customer service if it hit him in the face. Rubbish in every way. Using a microwave to heat a pie....eh no. Would never go back.

I have to admit thy I've only ever had the fish and chips from here... But it's so good that it's the only thing I order from there.Nothing fancy about the place but it's clean, friendly, quick and the fish supper is never a let down.

Just what you want when you fancy a night off from cooking, fast service, friendly staff and fine chips!

friendly staff and good flavourful product well cooked, the chips are nicely cooked, not soggy or greasy, the batter is the same and not too thick. the black puddings are moist and spicy and are like stornoway like in their makeup. The mock chops are the same in that they are moist and flavourful. well priced good value and satisfying.

I regularly use this local chippy. Whole family love it, have tried different things from menu and everything is excellent. Staff are very friendly and food is good value. You always get a decent portion size. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Chips are usually very good, batter not always so consistent. It is usually very busy at weekends and ordering by phone is a good idea if you don't want to queue for ages

By far one of the best fish and chip shops I've been to. White pudding supper the best i have tasted, my 2 boys enjoyed there chicken fillet suppers. The chips are lovely and fresh and white pudding and burgers cooked to order. By the time i drove home 3 miles home the whole lot was still as fresh as when i left the shop. My youngest son is a regular customer and is very fussy eater and he loves everything he has from Fast Frys Chip Shop. The shop is always spotlessly clean and the staff are always smartly dressed in their uniforms and very polite and helpful.
