Morrisons Banchory Cafe in Aberdeenshire

Went in to have a breakfast , and Wow , I have been blown away with its quality , It was fantastic value for money , I was asked if I wanted an English or a Scottish breakfast , which showed the 5 star service I was receiving, ….. my English Breakfast arrived quickly , was HOT HOT HOT , and a plate full of yummy morning glory . WELL DONE. Morrisons, I sat and people watched for a bit and I noticed just how busy this week Cafe was , it had older couples eating plate fulls of food , it had work men in for a plate full of food , it had school children in for a plate full of food , everyone was serviced quickly and the the plates was all clean when they left. Now the staff , they really made this cafe , the young lads that was serving and coming out with the food was outstanding , they was all happy smiling and engaging staff members , giving every customer a smile and great service .

Our experience of af (mostly) lunches or afternoon teas at this cafe have been overwhelmingly good, and the latest was no exception. Staff were friendly and helpful, even when trying to deal with several customers at the same time. I think they sometimes have problems with staff shortages, so there can be uncleared tables, but that's not helped by the number of customers who don't take their trays to the "clearing" stack... where possible. I appreciate some people cannot do this and I have to leave teapots etc at times. Generally speaking the food is plain, well-cooked and fast. We often opt for the breakfast-type food, as we did on the latest visit. There's sometimes a bit of confusion about whether one is having the Scottish or English version i.e. regular or square sausage; tattie scone or hash browns, but - in a way - it adds to the fun. This cafe made it clear during the winter that it could be used as a "warm bank" by anyone and, for that, it has to be praised. The toilets were clean and well-supplied with toilet paper, which is not always the case where the facilities are so busy with shop and cafe customers.

Shocking service . Was the only customer except for 1 other . Waitress walked back and forth ignoring me and finally the over animated waitress took my order . Tepid coffee and a cold full breakfast that was practically thrown on my table

I've been here with my family a few times and it used to be very nice but the last few times we've found they don't have many of the things on the menu. I don't know why they keep running out of food when they are literally attached to a supermarket. We had to leave last time because they'd run out of almost everything. Other than that its a pleasant cafe but it doesn't serve much purpose if there's nothing to eat.
