Very poor service. Check your drive-thu to make sure you actually get what you paid good money for. 5 errors on a simple order including missing food, wrong sized drinks and only 7 nuggets in in both 9 piece boxes. Shockingly bad for what should be a simple treat for the kids

The over-all of the place was clean however the tables were not, with left over food etc on them. I had to get napkins to clean two tables for the family to sit and enjoy our McDonalds. This is a first time this has happened oh dear.

Just visited the Portlethen branch. The Team Member (Aimee?) hospitality skills were spot on! She was attending to multiple customers (DT, front counter etc) at the same time, very productive and the food was excellent also.

Brilliant pace to go and in a very good location

3rd time in as many weeks they've missed stuff off my order. Had enough ..going to use Craigshaws branch from now on as they seem to have staff that can count properly.

Been twice, at portlethen wrong drinks first time, food never hot? Staff seem on to be on young side, maybe slow workers or not interested.

Waited 15 minutes to be presented with this disgrace. Sympathies to the young kids running around like headless chickens trying to keep the place afloat. No clear leadership or pride in this establishment. Service so slow the McFlurry had turned into a frappé. Big Mac may contain traces of onions.

Always short staffed, it should be a fast food but always have to wait for my drive-thru order. Get more staff

Drive through continually undefiled thier fries boxes. I ordered a large tonight, my daughter a standard. The large had less fries in the Box than the "large"

Depends whos on. Some mornings if they have got more than 3 orders they are struggling. They dont pay attention to their order screens. Other mornings its fine. The staff do have to be retrained, theres no doubt about that as some are brain dead! The payment machines have not been working properly for over a month. You tell the staff this and their reply is "oh okaaay" but nothing gets done about it. The branch needs a management and staff transplant.

This is my favourite McDonald's for drive through. There are two lanes and plenty of parking spaces.

A McDonald's, here, in Belgium, in France, in Germany or in the USA, nothing changes. No change of scenery, even the menus are identical.

Next to Asda/Aldi plenty of room to park

Every time iv been here there is something wrong... only go as its a treat for my nieces... yet again I pay for DOUBLE cheeseburger meals and get 1 burger in each.. managed to over charge me tho you got that right well done.

Every time I go they always get my order wrong either missing items or wrong meal as well as any time I use the drive through no matter how small my order is I always get told to park up and wait I have even been asked to park up and wait for a single mcflurry I wouldn't mind parking and waiting if my food was correct and hot usually lukewarm at best

They mucked up our order and my plain burger came with everything on it. We live 20 mins away so I wasn't going to drive back. Not the first time this has happened...you think I would have learnt my lesson by now.

The food was hot, a little slow in receiving food, and it tends to serve drive through first, even when you've been inside for a while. I noticed this on 3 occasions now.

I live locally. I nip in, treat the kids, treat myself, maybe twice a month and they've not gotten my order right in 9 months. I know this as I've kept tally. Today has tipped me over the edge. It's a Tuesday evening, no big tastys, no coffee frappe, no Frank's hot burgers, no milkshakes. We all amended our orders. Come home to find the fries totally absent from the order. I haven't got the effort in me to go back. From now on I'll be to Wellington Road. I've never met such a chronically incompetent place! It's has to be the management and training these children are given, no way I can keep having wrong orders if their training isn't flawed to begin with. Is this your franchise? You need to sack the management and start again with basic customer service and order checking as a start...

Worst macdonalds in Aberdeenshire

Nice and easy for a quick bite to eat. We normally use the app to order and then pick up at the click and collect or you can use the drive-through. The store is normally quite clean and tidy. Staff are quite polite and helpful but is normally really busy on the lunch hour as you would expect. Would recommend visiting if you’re wanting something easy to eat.

This is the worst McDonald's branch in the whole of Aberdeen, staff are poorly trained and make frequent errors when you order food. The service is also extremely slow.

At least this Franchise of McDonald's has the milk shakes and ice cream available when you go there.

Always sat far too long waiting for them to respond in the drive thru. Also they never have ice, they never put the correct sauces in. Unless there is on partucular guy on the window. He wears a white shirt, he nails it. Spot on him.

Service from Portlethen are amazing. I've been to a lot of mcdonalds in Scotland and by far, Portlethen has the best service. Came here multiple times now and all the girls ans boys here are friendly af and never once gave me the "order more and I'll kill you" look. 🔥

Youths sat on indoor tables poorly runned establishment. Food was a disaster couldn't complete the food order. Management need to sort out the situation with youths. This isn't a youth centre it's a restraunt and it's being managed poorly.

Was in the area and had a notification for an offer (£1.99 double mcmuffin). Ordered for click and serve and parked up. Waited longer than expected, though was not in a rush. When the server came out he was holding the singular item like it was either a prized possession or a dangerous bomb. I drove away and upon reaching my destination and opening it I could see why, the whole order was falling to pieces in the wrapper. This McDonald's is a handy stop for times when hunger strikes, however it could be the most unorganized and poorly run fast food restaurant I have visited (McDonald's or otherwise). This option is based on several visits and not specifically this one reviewed.

Drove all the way here for and it was closed. No signs, no posts saying so. Even the app said it was open despite the lights being on and staff in. Thoroughly disappointed.

Well, eating "seating on" is ok-service,food etc. but because of rubbish home delivery service no more than 3 stars.

Check your order!!! I got home from drive thru and discovered there was missing food. How hard is it to check an order? The customer can't exactly check when sitting in a queue of cars and the bags don't make it user friendly to check over. Not the first time this has happened at this McDonald's. Incompetent staff.

Honestly the worst McDonald’s I’ve been to. I’ve had more orders wrong than right. Staff are also slow. Just avoid, go to Garthdee or if heading down south Forfar (Definitely the best in the area)

Worst McDonald's I have EVER been to. always getting orders wrong, went back one time and the guy at the counter actually opened the burger with his hands sticking his grubby claws all over my food to show me they now had the correct order, also ordered from deliveroo once and they still got the order wrong. Got a completly different order to what i ordered, management dont have a clue they are very incompetent 17 year olds who are left to run the place , just the other day found a hair in my wrap 🤮 Went back with it as its totally put me off and the guy who classed his self as management started being smart and refused to sort the situation and give refund and made out it was ok. I asked why they don't wear hair nets and he said they do but here he was standing there with no hair net and a full head of hair, for someone who works in the food industry my self it just makes me feel sick. I will NOT step foot back In this McDonald's ever again. DISGUSTING!!! place should be shut down.

Food was OK been quite a few times and the problem with this place there are teenagers everywhere and most of them not even eating just making a nuisance of them selves the wife has shouted at them a few times .we have complained to staff but they don't do anything probably cos the staff are so young anyway don't think will be going back .

Easy to order and I don't think I've ever been inside a cleaner fast food restaurant. I was slightly disappointed with my hamburger. It had large clumps of lettice and most of the filling was mushed on one side. There was also barely any sauce on it and the 2 gerrkin were smaller than a 10p. First time its happened so im not worried. Other than that.... love the place

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE NEAR THIS BUILDING I was starving so I decided to order a McDonald’s for dinner. After taking 2 bites of my burger, I noticed that it was PACKED with onions, pickles and tomato sauce but I had requested my burger to be plain. I started gagging at the thought of it and I was sick. Many thanks to McDonalds for ruining my day!

Ok when it’s open . Unfortunately it’s the 3rd time in a few months that the systems are down and they send people away . It’s ridiculous!

Went to drive through for lunch, waited 5 mins for guy to come on intercom.Asked for Tropicana as my drink told don't serve it said hello I think you do! Then had to repeat order again!! Got order,it was wrong,chips half portion & cold!! All very disappointing won't be back in a hurry 😞 Spent £9, keeping coming up 80 - 90 god knows why??

Eat in at table. Ordered and waited for table service. Breakfast special muffin (egg, bacon, patty, cheese) Food NOT hot, warm only. Expected much better. Flat white coffee tasted good and good temperature to drink. Hash brown was warm and ok only

Ordered a double quater pounder received a single. No coke, bottled water or nacho wedges available with no explanation given. When we received our drinks there was no ice either. When we received our replacement burger it was obviously hastily made with the meat very greasy and the bread soggy.

A totally fine Maccies, app was acting up when we went but when we went in we were seen to in a reasonable time. Food was fine, and staff were friendly.

Food took way too long to come. My drink was mixed between coke and oasis. Bathrooms were manky. Wouldn't recommend a stop.

This is the worst McDonald’s in the history of McDonald’s. Today’s fiasco saw me waiting 15 minutes in the drive through park up bit before having to go in to retrieve my food. My food was cold, despite me asking the server to check and my McPlant burger had the cheese on top of the bun. The whole thing was a mess. Back to Garthdee for us, I’d rather drive a bit further and actually be able to eat what I buy.

I was very disappointed with the Mcdonald service today. I waited a lot for the food and the way I was served the food was unprofessional. I definitely won't go back to this place.

Hands down the WORST meal I've ever had and I love mcdonalds. Where to start........ No coke No ketchup No bacon on my big tasty which i ordered and came in a big tasty with bacon box(did get replaced, after saying "excuse me" 4 times to the staff) but was lookwarm at best Soggy fries, replaced with big tasty as previous ones went cold whilst waiting No cookies No mc flurry Ice in a drink when specified "no ice" Chose table service, didnt get straws for cold drinks or napkins Coffee was warm So i hasten to say i WILL NOT be returning to mcdonalds at Portlethen.

Today I visited portlethen mcdonalds restraunt. I used the drive through. I agree with a lot of reviews this is the poorest runner mcdonalds I have ever visited. My experience was negative. Rude staff young no professionalism for problem solving. Shouting wild behaviour in the background. No one at the money window to take payment was accused of trying to take food with out paying. The girl at the window got aggressive and said there is someone there and wanted me to go back round. There was no one at the first window I've used mcdonalds many times never experienced anything like this. Finally accepted my payment at the collection window. The meal was less than satisfactory Large chips where more like small chip. Lettuce was like black along with most of the chips. In future I will go to another mcdonalds and I'd recomend this to others although the abuse I received was minimal I would rate it family friendly 0 stars if possible for this negative experience.

Portlethan McDonald’s is probably the biggest waste of money u can spend, always forget to put items in your bag , chips are always cold , and the burgers looks like they went 10 rounds with Mike Tyson DO NOT GO

2 TRIP ORDER Ordered 2 x double quarter pounders with cheese meals and when we got home only one in bag . Hubby returned to get the missing one , . They gave a £5 voucher as apology but would have preferred it hadn't ruined our lunch in the garden . Wasn't busy either . Very poor service . Get your act together !

The last 4 weeks plus there is no latte available for reasons like no milk no coffee or the machine is broken
