Falls of Feugh Restaurant & Function Suite in Aberdeenshire

Absolutely amazing visit here and can’t wait to go back. Firstly we loved the location and even on a driech day it was warm and inviting. All staff were genuinely polite, friendly and welcoming and delivered great service throughout. We were mostly served by Carol who could teach masterclass in true customer service to many other places we’ve visited. There were a few things we liked. Firstly it was bright, modern and super clean. Secondly we liked that it was lots of little areas which made our visit more cosy and quiet. Thirdly we loved that this is not a haunt for screaming kids and endless pushchairs. We had a lovely, quiet lunch with each food and drink item being absolutely perfect. We opted for a coffee and their soup and sandwich combo. Sandwiches arrived in the freshest bread and came with salad and crisps. I had the Cullen Skink and husband had the lentil soup. Both were piping hot and absolutely delicious. We couldn’t eat another thing by the end but did choose a couple of homemade tray bakes to take away. If you’re looking for somewhere for a lovely lunch out or just coffee and a cake I’d highly recommend here. Food, service and setting were all perfect and can’t wait to go back.

Excellent service and support with our daughter who has a severe nut allergy, ingredients fully checked allowing us to enjoy as a family the best tray bake biscotti slice we have ever enjoyed! :) Beautiful setting, facilities clean, lovely atmosphere and staff all helpful and friendly, thank you!

Lovely bothy in front of the waterfall! The food is just amazing and very refined with a lot of different flavours in each dish. It is very affordable considering the quality of the food. The staff is lovely but some staff are a bit disorganised and slow. For us it is still one of the best place to eat. The scenary during the day is amazing, the waterfall is a real show. I am just very disappointed about the atmosphere: no music / also very old school interior not modern at all. The paintings are not the greatest and they don't match together, there is an ice cream stall in the first room which does not make sense. I think if they could paint the walls/ hang different paintings, add some rugs they could upgrade the restaurant. If you compare to some other places which serve not such a great food and which are more expensive...they should make some change to attract more people in my opinion.

Christmas 🎁 dinner was amazing. Really good atmosphere and the service was almost as good as the food. It's difficult to find a decent place for a fair price on Christmas day but Falls of Fergh smashed it. The staff were so attentive and it was an amazing menu. The beef fillet main was class (see pics). Best Christmas dinner I've ever had. Oh and finish with a Bailey's coffee it was delicious

I think the food was very good but I did feel the portion size was a little on the small side. I had the crumble in the smallest ramekin and used a teaspoon to eat it. It was £8.50. The beef was very tender and again was tasty but could have had a bit more mash and vegetables. The decor is a bit unsure of itself, however it was a pleasant visit.

This was my first visit and I look forward to returning. The food was excellent and good value. Nice welcome on arriving and great service throughout. Nice surroundings both inside and out with the breathtaking falls very close by.

Sunday Roast Beef lunch. Some of the best roast beef we have had in all our years, pink and tender with first class accompanying vegetables. Perfect service from friendly staff. Great value too

Adults and kids menus are short but all the dishes we had were perfect. We really had an excellent dinner experience in this charming restaurant.

Most enjoyable meal. Staff friendly. Looking forward to returning again soon.

Best Victorian sponge cake! Very scenic place just beside the Feugh falls.

We have been before and their food is amazing. This time we only stopped for a take away coffee. No Dogs but we sat outside and had our coffee. Really nice coffee well worth it just for that. Just be aware of the road outside as it’s a busy junction and people are not paying attention!

It was very quiet when we went for dinner, but the location is great! The food was very good for the price and the staff was lovely. The goats cheese was gorgeous and the banana sponge special was really good. The cullen skunk was quite watery but the fish of the day was good. Staff seemed a bit young and inexperienced, but they were very nice. Definitely worth coming here. They also do events and weddings!

Very nice place in a very nice setting. Views of river are a bit restricted whilst seated due to plants. Food and service were fantastic. Piping hot and very tasty. Would highly recommend.

We came here while staying in Banchory as we had seen good reviews.The food did not disappoint.The only negative I have is perhaps it was the time we went (7) But felt a little rushed.We had 3 courses and wine and honestly could have been out in an hour.

Amazing food. We both had the fish of the day - cod. It was exceptional. Very high standard. I am coeliac so my dish had slight alterations but this made me even more confident in the food and the chef.

Beautiful setting for this restaurant in a converted cottage. Food is excellent and well presented.

We ate here a few years ago when in the area, as in the area again we visited and were not dissapointed. Allowing our well behaved dog to sit outside on the terrace with us was a bonus, unfortunately not many place are dog friendly and can loose business because of this. Sitting in the warm sunshine our food arrived hot, tasty, fresh and well presented. The service was good with friendly helpful staff. It is more than 30 years since we were last in Banchory and it was a pleasant surprise to see this restaurant across the road at the popular tourist attraction. We all had a little lunch, beautifully presented and tasted fresh and home made. Service was very good and it was a bonus to sit outside on the terrace on a warm and sunny day. Recommended

This is a beautiful restaurant next to an amazing waterfall. The food is fantastic . A main course was 20 pound but so well worth it . The staff are lovely and work really hard . When visit again

We recently celebrated my son's birthday at The Falls of Feugh Restaurant, and it was an outstanding experience. The food was excellent, with generous portions at reasonable prices. I had the duck, and it was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was perfect for our celebration, creating a warm and inviting ambiance. The service was really good, making sure all ten of us were well taken care of throughout the evening. If you're looking for a place with great food, a lovely setting, and excellent service, The Falls of Feugh Restaurant is a fantastic choice. Highly recommend!

Stopped by for lunch today and were warmly welcomed by the brilliant staff. I opted for the Balmoral chicken which was a definite 10/10, the flavours of the dish were perfect along with the presentation. My wife had the risotto which again was full of flavour and perfectly done. We followed with a banana sponge for myself and a pana cotta for my wife, both deserts were incredible and would highly recommend either. This place is an absolute gem, the staff, the atmosphere, the setting and of course the food is on another level.

Popped in for a coffee and cake with a friend. Coffee was lovely and the chocolate and date cake was delicious. Staff were very attentive and didn’t rush us out the door. A lovely experience.

We had some unexpected time to kill due to bad weather so decided to have lunch here. We were both very glad we did. Lovely food in a lovely place with great service and at a reasonable price. What more could you want?

Hidden gem! This has got to be the best vegan afternoon tea so far! Lovely place in a stunning location! On the banks of the river Dee and next to the falls of Feugh. I called to view the venue for an event and to have afternoon tea. At around ten pm one weekend I tried to change the booking to add more people and the owners noticed and called me. They were so friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate us by moving table bookings around. Owners and staff were so friendly and welcoming on the day. Very relaxing experience and enjoyable afternoon tea for all 6 of us plus the toddler! This venue can cater for different events including weddings. Versatile space and lovely outdoor terrace overlooking the river. There is a corkage charge but all prices are included in the information provided and the owners are flexible to accommodate all needs.

Had 4 course lunch which was excellent, starter, veloute, main, desert with coffee and chocolate to finish. Every course was delicious and very well presented. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Value for money was also great.

Had an absolutely wonderful early dinner last night Sat 30 March. Seated at a table with a spectacular view of the river. Our server Nina was delightfully friendly , chatty and super attentive. The atmosphere at Falls of Feugh is welcoming and warm with beautiful views. Lovely African hospitality with a great menu. We had the North Sea Hake & Southern fried chicken mains. The food is very well presented and flavorful. Portions are good, pricing is reasonable. A pleasure to visit, thank you guys, we had a lovely evening with you all and will certainly be back for more. Highly recommended!

The falls of frugh at Banchory what a setting WOW , No one to meet greet and seat , after asking for the toilet was told it was round the corner or follow the smell ? My Husbund and myself had a nice latte as did my Sister and Brother in law , the carrot cake was to die for , however the all butter shortbread was not short bread but 3 little flat biscuits £1.50 it was very disappointing I expected a lot more it is after all Scotland is the home of Shortbread I did take this up with the waitress who seemed to not to have a clue very disappointed won’t be recommending nor revisiting again 👎

I was there for lunch. Very tasty food. Friendly staff and, like almost everywhere in Scotland, dogs are welcome. Prices are ok.

Popped in for a light lunch after walking up Scolty. Lunch was absolutely lovely, served by a brilliant member of staff. Friendly , professional and welcoming. Was given a lovely seat by the window. Would definitely recommend.!!!

Idyllic table overlooking the River Dee, which was bathed in sunshine. Stunning setting. Our server was extremely attentive and very friendly. She would brighten up anyone’s day. The food was delicious and nicely presented. Very reasonably priced for the quality of the produce. It was busy but not noisy so there was a lovely atmosphere. We did not feel rushed to leave after our lunch. We would definitely return.

A cosy, special place to visit. Not only is the food delicious and the service and atmosphere inviting, the surrounding area and falls and stream are so beautiful. Just sitting having a coffee and looking outside on a grey wet day seeing the beauty, feeding the body, mind and soul. A huge favourite for us and so pleased we have discovered this little piece of heaven.

Located on a pretty waterfall, the restaurant is magnificent. The menu is composed of typically Scottish dishes, fresh and refined. The service and prices are proportional to this quality, even if I find the 10 pound glass of wine a little expensive...

Stopped in for tea n coffee (coffee machine was broken 😔) and ice cream floats for the kids, we sat out on the balcony which is beautiful.

We had absolutely stunning food here whilst visiting Scotland, such a high quality and perfectly balanced flavours. The staff also went above and beyond to help us get sorted with a taxi when everywhere was booked up, we were so grateful and couldn't tip much as they only take cash tips and we were all on card - so go, have a great meal, and tip extra on our behalf!

We booked for Sunday Roast, and I have to say the food was superb, and the setting of the restaurant stunning. The Roast Sirloin of beef was tender and cooked to perfection and the accompanying vegetables delicious. We also had dessert crème brûlée and treacle tart. The whole dining experience was excellent. Attentive and welcoming staff. I highly recommend this place.

Beautiful scenery during lovely weather. Coffee, cakes and scone were delish, and not so expensive too for two people. Didn’t know it existed but will definitely come back.
