Olive Tree Banchory in Aberdeenshire

On a cold Tuesday night in November it was welcome good meal, the salad was nicest I have had in a long time. unfair to rate the atmosphere as we were the only people in.

A solid choice for grabbing a shawarma or wrap or pizza. The white garlic sauce mixed with the spicy red is the way to go for wraps. The wraps are big enough to split unless you're really hungry.

Probably the best takeaway food I have had for years! We are staying at the campsite and decided to get our meal delivered. Easy ordering, arrived on time and the food was absolutely delicious, we will be back soon. Thank you 🙏

Off the main high street, we were guided by the wonderful smell coming from that place… One of the best Turkish restaurant I’ve been to (if not the best). It is actually a charcoal kitchen where they cook the meat on a real grill. Food was delicious and the staff very kind (it looked like a family business). The setting for dining in is simple and you have a direct view on the kitchen so you can keep an eye on how they prepare your dish. The place is super clean.I highly recommend!

Probably the best Turkish kebab restaurant we have ever been to. Food was varied, delicious and the portions were fairly big. Very good value for money.

Great restaurant in typical Turkish style, nice, courteous service and really good Turkish food. And all of this at moderate prices.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our takeaway Iskender Lamb Kebab & Rice which we shared whilst staying nearby - almost as good as in our local sit-down Turkish restaurant. I found the staff pleasant, attentive and efficient when I collected it. We'd recommend both the dish and the restaurant.

Good Turkish food and taste are great. Well ..not feeling welcomed, nor was the service good to give it a good rate. The waiter forgot almost everything i asked other than the main main menu!!

I ordered chips cheese doner and chips cheese chicken. Both with sauce. Took 1 hour to come and they forget the sauce… phoned to say there is no sauce so they said they Will send someone back with it… an hour later it appears😂 🤦🏻‍♂️ it’s a shame because the food is really good and paying £32 for 2 kebabs and delivery id expect my order to be right 😶 won’t be a returning customer

Absolutely love Olive Tree, my go to is Iskender Kebab, my kids love the calzones, complete variety, choices on how you'd like it are great, just very delicious quality meals. I can rarely eat the portion size either, second day Kebab is always the tastiest ⭐️

Was passing through Banchory and as we walked up Dee street there was this amazing smell. It was irresistible. So we ordered some food which we were going to take away but ended up sitting in. Staff were very friendly and the food was excellent. Everything was freshly made and tasty.

Stayed in Banchory over the weekend, visited the Olive Tree for a meal and we weren’t disappointed, great food , great staff and great value for money, I would highly recommend it, next time we’re in Banchory we will definitely be going back!

Everytime we we get take out the food has been great! Staff have been great too! Price is also very reasonable especially for the quality. Olive tree has been a great addition for food in Banchory. Recommended food item is the Iskender!

First time ordering a takeaway, probably the best chicken kebab I've ever had. Freshly made, delicious and plentiful. We will definitely be returning

I purchased the large kebab on Monday afternoon and its the best kebab I've ever had. It was perfect, I normally have it in nan bread but I decided to have it in Turkish bread which is different from pita bread. Again this was super tasty. The staff also let me have a cup of Turkish tea on the house. It's a pity it's so far from Alford as I would be a regular customer on a weekly basis. The staff were extremely friendly and I'm looking forward to my next visit to the Olive Tree. Superb 10/10

Everything was tasty and we really enjoyed

It is Halal. Happy to see a nice Halal restaurant outside of big city. A traditional Turkish restaurant. The bread was soft, meat was tender and the salad was fresh.

Lovely welcome from staff, knew when we sat down & looked around standards were high. The place is spotless which gives great assurance. Food was fresh, using quality ingredients, flavours amazing. Will be back on next visit to Banchory area.

Popped in for a bite to eat and wasn't disappointed. Had a chicken iskender and wife had a lamb one. Daughters had a pizza each. All were fresh and tasty. Very reasonable prices. Place was spotless as well and had a family run vibe about it.

We got a doner kebab from here and it was okay, but not the best kebab we have had! The place however does seem very clean compared to normal kebab shops which is a bonus

Not eaten in yet but had at least 7 takeaways... wish they had a beer on draft to have a swifty whilst waiting lol... they forgot a portion of chips once but will put that down my accent... food is always great, and their rice is just so different its worth going in just for that !

This place opened at end of 2022 so we couldn't find it on Trip Advisor but took a chance and it was a good lunch for 4

Best meal in the area! Juicy, succulent meats, grilled to perfection. Everything is perfectly spiced and flavoured. Only eat here if you love flavours! Our favourite is their house specialty sets because we simply can't choose only one or two of what we like from them. Everything is gorgeous and delicious!

Stopped in with our dog for a gorgeous shish chicken wrap and a cup of Turkish tea, us not the dog, he layed under the table waiting for anything dropped, he was unlucky. Very good food at a good price.

Easy ordering online, ready for collection on time. Great portions, super tasty, fresh food. Good range of foods to choose from - it's been soooo long since I've had a decent kebab! Will be ordering again. Friendly & efficient service - really enjoyed our meal!

The best takeaway we’ve been to in Scotland and we’ve lived here 8 years!!! We ordered the house special for two which came with lamb shish, chicken shish, Adana kofte, chicken wings, lamb chops, lamb ribs, rice, homemade bread, sauce and the best salad I think I’ve ever seen anywhere!!! It was so good, we came back the following week and ordered the same thing. You must try this place if you are in Banchory.

Slightly overpriced lamb doner. Didn't come with a pitta, came with a chunk of crusty bed. Ordered a regular sized was small for the price.

Very nice food & always served hot. Collection option is great because they will ensure that your food is ready bang on time. Their delivery service is spot on as well. Friendly staff.

Went and sat in, very busy with takeaway, however served us quickly and prepared food to perfection. One of the best kebabs I’ve ever tasted, went for the mixed kebab, with rice and what I can describe as homemade bread. The food is cooked on an open charcoal grill, giving the food a great taste. Very popular and will be back Reasonable price, seating and parking nearby.

This is now our go to place. We've had plenty from here now. Calzone, chicken sheesh, burgers and so far it's always been restaurant quality not just take away standard.

Love this place. The mezze is amazing and the home made bread is great we always fight over it! The online ordering is very easy and the food is usually ready when you get there. A bit more traditional Turkish food would be great but there are still plenty of great options.

Really good. Very busy when I was in but well staffed and very capable of dealing with demand. Staff were polite and attentive. Service was quick. Restaurant was clean and cleaned constantly between customers. Now... The food. Portion sizes are generous. I had the Adana kebab and it came with rice, tomatoes, salad, two sauces and bread. The kebab was fantastic, well cooked and very well marinated/seasoned. The bread had a lovely homemade feel with lots of flavour. One of the best places I've eaten at this year, really enjoyed! I wish we had something similar in Aberdeen city, this is what kebab should be!

If you like cold, overpriced pizza and chips then order from the Olive tree. We have ordered for delivery on several occasions and had the same terrible experience every time. Order for delivery and pay online. Wait for an hour with no feedback. Call the Olive Tree and they don't answer for 3 or 4 calls. When they do answer they tell you the delivery driver has just left with your order. The order arrives another 30 minutes later, stone cold. Delivery driver can't leave fast enough because they know the food is stone cold and has been sitting for at least 30 minutes. Would not recommend at all.

Third time having takeaway from here and each time really tasty and fresh. 🤩 Premises are immaculately clean.

We had a doner wrap and sheesh kebab wrap everything was freshly made and tasty will definitely be back great to finally have some good takeaway food in deeside area and it was also reasonably priced and friendly service. Very clean and tidy aswell 👍 from me.

This was our first time in Olive Tree and we will certainly be back next time we are in area. The Chicken Shish Kebab was delicious, served with rice, salad & the most amazing bread. I opted for the chilli sauce which had just the right amount of spice for me. 10/10. Also the guy who served us was very cheery, obviously likes his job!

Visited with my partner yesterday 26th March, prices are quite reasonable, considering the excellent quality of the Lamb Shish Kebab meal we both had, spotlessly clean surroundings, but with a friendly relaxed atmosphere considering how popular and busy it was, would DEFINITELY eat there again❤️

We love coming here after hiking near Aboyne. Kind staff and delicious food. Comfortable chairs. Love their veggie Bulgur salad (Kisir), Desert (baklava), my son and husband love the lamb dish. A Turkish mocca at the end made everything perfect. Can’t wait to try other veggie dishes next time.

Absolutely fabulous. Clean, fantastic service. Great value for money. Freshly prepared in front of you, really crispy varied enjoyable salad, sauces were ace and chips crispy on outside fluffy inside, not greasy. We’ll be back for sure. Highly recommended #supportlocal

1st time ordering from here. We all enjoyed our food. Only thing I'd say is, it says garlic sauce but I got some yoghurt sauce. Would be better if it was garlic mayo and someone really needs to spell check their menu. But, the food was good.
