Called in here for fish and chips. There is seating, but we opted for a takeaway. It was cooked freshly to order. I believe they use beef dripping ( the proper old fashioned way to cook fish and chips)
They were the nicest fish and chips I’ve eaten. The flavour and texture of the chips was lovely. I don’t usually each much of the actual batter on the fish, but this batter was the lightest, finest, crispiest batter I have ever tasted, so happily ate it all.
The meals were delicious …..would highly recommend .
The staff were lovely too!
Great bar restaurant
Staff very friendly
The food was delicious and it is dog friendly I highly recommend it If you are ever on Eyemouth use this restaurant

We booked here for 2 nights. Our first stay at a Premier Inn in Scotland. Convenient location, car park, room layout etc. Unfortunately, each night our room, 123, was subject to some unknown mechanical noise coming from a room nearby. This lasted from 10pm until the early hours on both occasions.
Not conducive to a restful night's sleep. Unlikely to return here.

I rang this place as a vegetarian with dietary requirements asking a simple question; which oil their chips were fried in and if they did any meat products and if so, if it was fried separately. The woman on the phone was extremely rude and sarcastic, for instance when I asked if they serve meat products she replied with ‘we are a chip shop.’ Wouldn’t even touch this place with a barge pole after this disgusting experience on a short phone call. EDIT: the owner read my review and shortly called to discuss my experience. They were very polite and understanding of the situation, which I really appreciate. +score to service.
Popped into here for a bite of lunch.
First time in Kirkcudbright. Picked here as it had a lavatory and was quite desperate.
Once inside, it was a lovely clean space with a friendly welcome from the staff.
We chose the soup and scone; two choices, one of each flavour.
After a few minutes we were presented with too substantial bowls of soup and half a huge scone each, as we’d only ordered one.
Both soups were delicious and hearty; the scone was light and tasty.
We couldn’t finish it all, so the staff carefully packed up the leftover soup for us, which we look forward to having for lunch tomorrow.
Great find, great food.
Who would have ever thought that a village like St. Boswell's would have such an excellent venue, which is community-focused.
A café which is packed serving good food and friendly service, a browsing bookshop, arts and crafts shop and a delicatessen ... who could ask for more?
Went and waited 20 for a smoked sausage supper, staff were horrible and just rude and later to find i was over charged by £1! Ik its not alot but still not okay. Wouldn’t rush back as staff are rude and overpriced.
