We popped into lockards for Sunday dinner it was lovely, had a great family meal and tbh Mackenzie slotted in well she was like part of our family the jokes and carry ons my sides are still sore, she should be a comedian or something she made our whole experience much more enjoy

We were greeted by Mackenzie on arrival we felt so welcomed it was a great reception. She also continued to serve us all our courses no room for error and nothing was to much hassle for her, at the end of our meal we paid the bill she was terrific ask if we needed a taxis home absolutely a credit to ur company and I’d return based on her service in fact u should Change the name from lochards to Mackenzies or name a macaroni after her or even cocktail after her like mackenzies magic maverick

Brought my brother in law and sister in law in for dinner. There was a good choice on the menu, and we all chose different things; scampi, fish and chips, gammon steak, which we all enjoyed. Good service from all who served us

Called in as was passing, food on a whole was good, we had a cheese, leek and potato pie with mash and a cheeseburger with fries and coleslaw, would definitely come back

The Sunday lunch was very good. Well presented lovely roasted vegetables and good portions. Good value and attentive staff.

We had a fantastic meal last night. Food was outstanding, and the service was second to none. The manager of Lockards should be incredibly proud of their establishment and staff. Will definitely be back!

Overall service was slow though polite and helpful. Sadly, the food was disappointing. Firstly, the children’s starter of hummus, carrots and cucumber with pitta had no cucumber - we would have liked to know they had run out during placing the order as more carrots were not added. Then, the children’s main courses were tiny consisting of: 4 dippers, a small handful of fries and a small spoon of beans - ideal size for toddlers not children. Adults main courses were lovely and decently sized. Unfortunately, the children meals let us down. We may not return when visiting Scotland again as the children weren’t full when leaving the restaurant even though in total we spent over £80.

After an afternoon with friends having a drink minding our own business on Good Friday and spending in excess of £200 we were asked to leave as our table was booked 😡no the pub was not busy so why could they not have been given another table.We would have stayed on for the quiz and spent more money.Will never be back and certainly wouldn’t recommend to anyone if that the way they treat customers.

Friendly welcoming staff, we had been sent a voucher on the morning of booking, however the offer had ended the day previously, the host explained that she would try to honour the deal, however she could only offer a 20% off not the 30% on the voucher, really great to see that it wasn’t just a “sorry I can’t do anything as it is a head office error “. We enjoyed the great food with friends and will definitely be back.

Absolutely 1st class - our hostess Erin was attentive and gave us excellent service. The food was well prepared, well presented and hot all in all a brilliant lunch - thank you - this was our third visit and it lovely to see that the standard has remained consistent - thank you to the team and especially Erin.

Been here many a time and everytime they never fail. Food is excellent and reasonable prices. But a special mention has to be for Erin. Nothing is ever to much trouble. She is always bubbly and ensures you enjoy your visit. We will be back.

The service from our waitress was very good and she was very attentive. Although the food was slow coming out, this was understandable as it was very busy. Food was nice however I had one major issue. I am vegetarian and so ordered the halloumi and red pepper kebab which was marked on the menu as a vegetarian item. I was enjoying it until I got further into the meal and found chicken and chorizo mixed in with the other items. I told the waitress who was apologetic on behalf of the kitchen and said the were being "told off". She did also discount £5 off my main course. I just feel this is worth highlighting as it is really not great and will put me off returning, I also would advise against anyone with dietary requirements going in the future as there is clearly problems with how the food is made.

Pop into Lockards for breakfast now and again. It's often Erin that's on shift for service. Always polite, friendly and caters to our needs quickly and efficiently. Best Scottish breakfast around at a great price!

Lasagna was lovely the side of chips was a bit small. Partner had the curry witch was nice but the nann bread was soggy not properly cooked..

Absolutely brilliant,great service from ciaran who was absolutely delight, good choice of meals and drinks, and quick service aswell the meals were amazing...friendly welcome staff a nice atmosphere with kids had things to do aswell 5/5 all round...definitely try you won't be sorry..also it would be great in the summer with the beer garden,(it was raining so didn't have a chance)

Food was produced ok however we noticed that you had a printed copy of the gluten free allergy options but nothing for any other allergy list were provided without using a smartphone And I have noticed that portion sizes have reduced from when the business first opened

Celebrated twice this week. Food excellent on both occasions. No room for pudding. Main meal was filling washed down with drinks.

Was served by MacKenzie the other night. The food was fabulous, great selection and great quality. We were checked in with by our waitress and other staff multiple times to check if everything was OK. I found all staff super friendly and helpful that night, a sign of a happy workplace which i think it's important to support a business with that. Although it is not listed as a side, my mother asked if she could have boiled potatoes with her steak so MacKenzie checked and accommodated is with them and thought it was a really nice touch. Would definitely recommend going, it's a beautiful pub inside and outside too.

I had booked a table, but we were allowed to change it to be at a sunny window. The food was excellent, arrived promptly. The drinks were precisely what we ordered (being midday, we had soda water not alcohol). A thoroughly pleasant experience and my friends, who had driven 50 miles to see me, were delighted.

Perfectly good place for breakfast or lunch not my cup of tea for evening meal. Fine for evening drinks.

Lockards Farm and What can i Say but Absolutely Beautiful, As the Customer Service was Excellent and the Food Exceptional as Everything on the Plate of the Sunday Roast was Sublime. Erin who Looked after was very Attentive and looked after our every need which was Wonderfull and made your Visit that much more Rewarding.

Lovely service from Lauren always had a smile on her face

Lauren was super attentive and friendly.

I first went to this place when it first opened. It was terrible food then. Over the next few years it hasn't got any better. But I decided to ignore the terrible reviews that it has locally, and give it another go. When we arrived we were told we had to wait for a table to be cleaned (There were dirty dishes left on a number of unoccupied tables). Rather than sort us out with a table first, the Duty Manager decided to keep us waiting and tried to sort out 3 separate couples who arrived after us. It was dis-organised chaos, with one couple who came after us getting seated BEFORE us! Once we had finally got a table after 15 minutes waiting (restaurant wasn't busy!). We ordered drinks and food and 20 minutes later we were still awaiting our drinks whilst all the waiting female staff chatted in a group and ignored customers! My starter finally arrived, and we then had to ask where our drinks were! My starter was ok, but my partners steak was well done (or cremated more accurately!) rather than the medium rare she asked for! Throughout our stay we witnessed the female manager and waiting staff behave as if customers were an inconvenience to their social life and their want to stand around chatting rather than doing their job and serving customers! The only customers the waiting staff paid ANY attention to were a table of 2 guys who they all flirted with relentlessly (it was pathetic!) and another female customer who was obviously a friend of the Duty Manager. What was also very unprofessional was the clothing of the staff who were dressed all in their own clothes with grubby stains. It didn't look in the least bit professional or what you come to expect from a well known pub chain! The waiting and cooking staff need sacked (at the very least the Duty Manager who didn't have a clue what she was doing!). It's a nice looking place spoiled by the terrible service and awful food. A view held by virtually every local of Dumfries who has been there! Avoid at all costs!

food outstanding, staff attentive, caring and knowledgable. Made me feel at ease and confident our food was prepared correctly as we have multiple allergies (dairy and fish). Didn’t get the young girls name who served us but she was just fantastic, I am very critical of dining out with allergy children but she was great at her job from start to finish. Communicated well with us and the kitchen when unsure of allergen content, very knowledgable in the menu when recommending allergen free sauces. Considering it is Christmas time and service was slower due to busy times, we didn’t feel we were waiting ages and had time to enjoy the our daughter’s birthday and atmosphere. Were not pressured to rush eating, ordering or leaving. Will be back

Had a beautiful Sunday roast, cooked to perfection and nicely presented. My son had fish and chips, again perfectly cooked. The staff were lovely, helpful and gave great service. There was a lovely atmosphere and felt really welcomed. I would definitely recommend and will definitely visit again.
